Full of Life and Full of Love 5
(Super sorry but the ‘read more’ link still isn’t working, I’m not sure why.) It took me a while to come up with an idea for this chapter, I’m not sure if it’s terrific but oh well. If you have any ideas or want anything to happen in this story don’t be scared to send me an ask! I love suggestions 💕
Let me know if you want to be added to the taglist and I will absolutely do that!
Summary: Patton takes Dee (who usually spends the four days a week that Logan works with Emile because I literally just thought that I should have an answer for that lol) to Logan’s school at the end of the day to pick him up for their date.
Ship: Logicality, background prinxiety
Word count: 1044
Warnings: mildly upset one year old, sympathetic deceit
- - -
Logan noticed some of his students yawning behind their hands, blinking sluggishly. The teacher hid a smirk, it was Friday afternoon and half the school (teachers included) was ready for the weekend, it was so hot at the moment, everyone was just exhausted and sick of the heat. He returned to his speech on the various ways author’s used speech marks. Virgil was doodling in the corner of his book, the bags under his eyes looked darker than usual and Logan didn’t think it was because of particularly intense makeup application.
“Can anyone explain the difference between-” Logan was interrupted by a knock on the door, he sighed and leaned on his desk, he just wanted to leave. “Come in!” He called.
Patton opened the door and Logan broke into a bright smile. “Patton, hello Love.”
Patton adjusted his hold on the one year old in his arms and crossed the room to Logan’s desk. “Hi Honey.”
Logan kissed his boyfriend and ignored the shocked stares his students were giving them, they were all tired, it didn’t matter. Dee wriggled and made grabby hands towards his dad. “Dada!”
The students giggled and cooed over the one year old. Logan lifted his son into his arms. “Hey Honey-Dee, Dada’s gotta finish this work but I’ll play with you in a moment, alright?”
Patton kissed the toddler’s head. “Let’s let Dada work, okay? C’mon Honeybunch.”
Dee reluctantly went back to Patton, pouting. Logan returned to his lesson but was quickly interupted by a squeal. “’Irgil!”
Dee grinned and pointed to Virgil, who was at the front to the side, in the corner of the room, blushing. He waved at the toddler and adjusted his hood to fit over his face more.
“‘Irgil!” Dee whined again. “‘Irgil ‘Irgil ‘Irgil!”
Patton sent a panicked look to his boyfriend as Dee became increasingly difficult to hold. Logan sighed and rubbed his eyes behind his glasses. “I’m sorry.” He said to the amused class. “We’ll return to the lesson in a moment, I promise.”
The students didn’t seem too concerned about getting back on track, Dee was pretty entertaining. Logan picked him up and kept a firm hold on him, ignoring the one year old’s wriggling and whinging. He walked over to Virgil’s desk and knelt by it, he sighed and tried to shush his son a little bit. “Sorry Virge, do you think he could sit with you for a bit?”
Virgil held his arms out with a small grin, completely fine with the toddler’s insisting. “Pass.”
Dee broke into a giggling fit as he was set in Virgil’s arms. “’Irgil!” He cheered.
Virgil kissed his head and held him tightly. “Hey Dee-dee.”
Roman shifted his chair closer and leaned his chin on Virgil’s shoulder to make faces at the toddler. Logan hurriedly thanked them and tried to continue his lesson. Patton pulled a chair out by the others and sat near Virgil and Roman, switching his attention between Logan and Dee.
Finally, the school day was over and he dismissed the class, unfortunately many of his students decided to pester Patton with questions. Logan packed his things away hastily and came to his boyfriend’s rescue.
Patton was happy to talk to the kids, he smiled and laughed, keeping one eye on Dee to make sure Virgil wasn’t struggling.
“- is Mr Croft your boyfriend?”
Patton blushed slightly and looked up at Logan as the teacher walked over to them, he sat on the edge of Virgil’s desk. “Is that really an appropriate question?” He asked.
Patton rolled his eyes playfully. “Come on Lolo.”
The small clump of students all faced their teacher, questioning looks across all of their faces.
Logan sighed. “Yes, Patton’s my boyfriend.”
They giggled and started to leave, saying goodbye and thanks to Logan as they left. Virgil stood up and kissed Dee’s cheek. “I have to go Dee.”
Roman gently booped his nose. “We’ll see you later Dee!”
Logan took his son back. “Thanks Vee.”
“Anytime.” Virgil shrugged his bag on. “If you’ll excuse me, I have ravens to train and crows to feed.”
Roman snorted but took Virgil’s hand anyway. “Back to the lair then, thanks Lo.”
“Mr Croft.” Logan corrected.
“Lo.” Roman and Virgil repeated, walking out of the classroom.
Logan adjusted the toddler on his hip. “Okay, I’m ready.”
Patton smiled. “Then let’s go.”
- - -
“I love you.”
Patton looked over, slightly puzzled. “I love you too Lolo.” He leaned in for a kiss. “Is there a reason for the sudden need to tell me?” He giggled.
Logan shrugged and settled back onto the grass of the little park. “Just thinking about our first date.”
“Oh,” Patton smiled and moved his legs onto Logan’s lap, resting his head on his shoulder, “that’s sweet.”
“Dada!” Dee squealed. “Dada!”
Logan glanced over and chuckled as Dee toddled hastily over to them and stumbled into Patton’s lap, he scrambled to get to Logan and presented his dad with a slightly squashed yellow daisy. “Flo’er!” He grinned, looking pleased with himself.
“It’s beautiful Honey-Dee, thank you.” Logan kissed his son’s cheek and gently took the flower to tuck it behind his ear.
Dee beamed and Patton pecked his boyfriend’s temple. “You look handsome.” He smiled. “You should wear flowers more often.”
Logan flushed slightly and pressed his nose into Dee’s soft hair. Patton leaned his head on his boyfriend’s shoulder and they watched the clouds move, the sun started to set and Logan noticed his son let out a big yawn.
Dee closed his eyes and curled up against his dad as sleep took over, Logan and Patton left the park and walked home, careful not to disturb the baby.
They tucked him into his crib and turned on the nightlight, Patton grabbed a monitor from the shelf and set it on the coffee table while Logan made them dinner. The couple finished their meal and turned the TV on, Patton rested his head on Logan’s shoulder and smiled as his boyfriend draped a blanket over him, they stayed on the couch for as long as they could before going to bed.
Logan lay awake under the covers, Patton cuddled into his side, fast asleep and smiling softly into Logan’s chest.
How had he gotten so lucky?

Full of life and Full of Love 3
Original post
Chapter 1
Chapter 2
Chapter 3
Chapter 4
If you want to be tagged, send me an ask and I can totally do that, this chapter is a little different than others, little angsty but not too bad??
I’m not a major fan of this one, it took forever to not completely suck, the words just wouldn’t be right but meh! It’ll be fine, hopefully the next one will be better
Summary: Virgil needs comforting and goes to Logan. (Quick reminder that Virgil’s 17 and one of Lo’s students)
Ship: Logicality, Prinxiety
Word count: 1 250
Warnings: Sympathetic deceit, crying, cursing, mentions of abuse, abusive parents, implied homophobia, let me know if I missed something!!
“Okay honey-dee, sweet dreams baby.” Logan silently stepped away from the crib and grabbed a baby monitor before slipping out of the room.
He let out a breath and smiled to himself, he could relax now. He set the monitor on the coffee table and went to turn on a documentary when someone knocked on the door. That’s odd, it’s 7:53, why would anyone be here?
Logan cautiously opened the door to see a seventeen year old shivering on his doorstep.
“Virgil? What are you doing here? It’s late.” Logan asked, puzzled.
Virgil wiped a tear off his cheek. “I’m so sorry Logan. Can I come in?”
Logan stepped aside and closed the door. “What on earth were you doing outside in just a t-shirt? It’s freezing.”
“I left my hoodie in Roman’s car. I swear, I am so sorry Lo, I just, I panicked and I couldn’t think of anywhere else to go and you live near so I just ran here, and it’s cold and my, my parents hate me so-”
“Virgil, slow down.” Logan interrupted. “Did your parents do something?”
Virgil nodded as more tears welled up in his eyes. “Th-they noticed I didn’t have hoodie, an-and they started talking about how my boyfriend probably had it because I’m such a fuck-up so they yelled ab-bout me b-being a god-goddamn mistake and th-then he saw me almost cry, he yelled s-something and th-then he-” Virgil was sobbing at this point and he uncrossed his arms to reveal a massive red mark on his arm that was already colouring.
“Oh god, Virgil honey.” Logan opened his arms to let the teenager fall into them, his crying came out in uneven gasps.
“Virge, thank you so much for coming to me, you’re not going back tonight, okay? That’s not optional, sit here, I’m going to get some ice for that bruise.”
Virgil sat on the couch and wrapped his arms around himself, Logan squeezed his shoulder, it could’ve been much worse, it had been much worse before. He grabbed an ice pack from the freezer and brought it back to Virgil. “Here, I’m going to grab some blankets, you must be freezing, turn the TV on, get comfortable.”
Logan hastily made his way to the cupboard down the hall. He grabbed the softest blankets he could find and brought them back to Virgil. “Honey, you know I love you, I need to make sure that you know that your parents are wrong.”
“I know.” Virgil sniffed.
“You’re incredibly strong Vee, remember that, you’re not a fuck-up, you’re unique and loved.”
Virgil rubbed at his eyes. “Thanks.”
“You can sleep in your bedroom tonight and I’ll drive you to school tomorrow.” Logan had dedicated one of the guest bedrooms to Virgil a few months ago, he came over so often and babysat enough that it was easier for him to spend the night occasionally.
“Why don’t you invite Roman over?”
“Why?” Virgil asked, puzzled.
Logan chuckled. “I thought you liked Roman, I mean you are dating him.”
“Yeah, of course I like him, but... it’s late.” Virgil tightened the blankets around him.
“You’re stressed and you’re anxious and Roman will help, he has that effect on you.”
Virgil blushed slightly. “Yeah, okay, thank you Logan, so so much.”
“Of course, do you have your phone?”
Virgil nodded and tugged it out of his pocket. Logan made him some tea and turned the TV on. “Do you want to watch The Good Place? I know you enjoy it.”
Virgil nodded and leaned back into the couch. “Thank you.”
“You don’t have to thank me Virge, I’d do anything for you.” Logan reminded.
Virgil was going to respond but he was interrupted by a wail coming from the monitor, it was quickly followed by loud crying for ‘Dada.’
Logan cursed and got to his feet. “Sorry, just a moment.”
“Hold on honey-dee.” Logan rushed over to the crib.
Dee was writhing around, tangled in his quilts, his chubby face red, blotchy and shiny with tears.
“Hey hey hey, I’m here baby, shhhh.” Logan gently lifted him into his arms. “Shh shh, I’m here, it’s okay. Let’s go see Virgil, huh? It’s okay Dee-dee, it’s okay.”
Logan cupped the back of Dee’s head and held him against his chest, swaying soothingly. His sobs turned into upset hiccups as he was carried out to the living room.
Virgil was watching TV quietly and looked up at Logan when he entered.
The dad sat next to him on the couch and cradled Dee, he shushed him softly. “Hey honey, do you want to see Virgil?”
Logan looked over to check he was okay with that. Virgil reached for the toddler.
“’Irgil?” Dee hiccuped.
“Hey bud.” Virgil rubbed his back and gave him a small smile. “You okay Dee? It’s just me, sorry if we woke you.”
Logan smiled at them and brushed the hair out of Dee’s face. The doorbell rang and he stood slowly.
“That’d be Ro.” Virgil said as he bounced the baby playfully.
Logan opened the door. “Hel-”
Roman barged into the house and ducked past Logan to cross the room and kneel dramatically by his boyfriend. “Virge, are you okay? What did they do? What can I do to help? Do you need anything?”
Virgil laughed and tucked the sleepy toddler into one arm so he could pull Roman into a hug with the other. “I’m okay Ro. Chill out a bit.”
Roman pulled back and slid onto the couch next to him. “I have your hoodie.” He handed bundled up fabric to the other teenager.
“Oh thank god, I missed you!” Virgil cooed as he gripped the hoodie and hid his face in the purple patches. “Thanks Princey.”
Dee yawned and blinked slowly. Virgil rocked him gently. “You look sleepy bud, let’s head to bed huh?” He started to stand but Logan stopped him. “No no, it’s okay, I can do it.”
Dee cooed as he was lifted into his dad’s arms. “Dada...”
“Yes little snake?”
Dee didn’t respond, he curled into Logan’s arms and closed his eyes. “Goodnight honey-dee.”
As the father carried his little child to bed Roman turned back to Virgil. “Babe, what happened?”
Virgil tugged his hoodie on and pulled the hood up. “I... I just want to be with you, for a little bit. Please?”
“Of course, come here.” Roman opened his arms so Virgil could tuck himself into his boyfriend’s side.
“God, you’re such a drama-queen.” Virgil muttered, his eyes sliding shut briefly as Roman rubbed his back and kissed his head. “Thank you.”
Roman teasingly tugged Virgil’s hood right down over his eyes and kissed his nose. “I try my hardest.”
Logan watched the pair from the doorway, he leaned against the door frame with a fond sigh, he talked to kids their age every day and he’d never seen two people more compatible.
“I have some work to do.” Logan said from his spot in the door way. “I’m assuming I can trust you two not to stay up too late?”
“Bold assumption Mr Croft.” Virgil smirked.
Roman laughed. “I was just going to stay for an episode or two, my moms are expecting me home before nine.”
“Good, I’ll see you tomorrow in class.” Logan adjusted his glasses. “Goodnight you two.”
“‘Night Logan.” Virgil called.
“See ya Logan.” Roman said.
Logan smiled at them once more before he went to his room, leaving the teenagers to watch TV in peace.

Let me know if you have tips or advice or anything! I want to improve!
Chapter 1
Chapter 2
Chapter 3
Chapter 4
Summary: Patton and Logan are finally going on their first official date tonight and smol Dee is an adorable Dee.
Ship: Logicality, platonic analogical, platonic loceit, mentioned remile
Word count: 1 718
Warnings: Sympathetic deceit, mentioned homophobia, idk, feel free to tell me if I missed something!
Logan quietly opened the door to Dee's room and padded over to the crib that sat against the wall. The yellow and black quilts were pushed to one side and the almost-one year old was lying with his favourite snake toy.
"Hello little one." Logan murmured as he reached into the bed to lift his son into his arms. "How was your nap?"
Dee yawned and blinked slowly. Logan kissed their head as he grabbed 'Mr Snek' and flipped the nightlight off.
Logan kept the toddler distracted for about an hour before he made dinner. Dee loved experimenting with his set of rainbow blocks, he stacked them in size order and admired his work with a series of proud babbling sounds before knocking them over and giggling. Logan laughed with him and scooped him into his lap to tickle his tummy until he was bright red.
Dee cooed as he was set in his highchair. “Dada! Mr Snek!” He called gleefully.
Logan chuckled and passed the plush snake to him. While the toddler played with Mr Snek, Logan started dinner. He had a date with Patton Hart at seven and wanted to feed Dee by then so he could go to sleep and Virgil wouldn’t have to do much when he babysat.
Logan checked the time and mapped out a rough plan in his head while he prepared canned spaghetti on toast, Dee did not appreciate fancy food, his taste was basic and he didn’t like to venture outside his comfort zone.
Logan turned back to the toddler as he babbled at the yellow snake. “Hey Dee-dee.”
Dee looked up and broke into a grin, his birth mark almost looked like a patch on a cat’s face. He reached up and Mr Snek fell from his weak grip, “Snek!” He yelped, he looked up at his Dad with fearful eyes, he sniffled and his bottom lip quivered.
“No no no!” Logan picked it up and handed it back to the upset toddler. “See? There we go baby, it’s okay.”
Dee hugged the plush and started chewing on it immediately.
“Come on little one, let’s have some food first.”
Dee sniffed and ate some food with a grouchy expression. Logan chuckled at his wrinkled nose and kissed his forehead. “Come on Dee, a little bit more, if I didn’t think pretending eating utensils were vehicles was pointless I might tell you that this fork was a airplane, but I’m not going to do that so will you please just take a bite?”
Dee scowled but took a small bite.
“Thank you honey-dee.” Logan smiled. “Dad’s gotta get ready now, can you sit quietly with Snek for a bit?”
Dee wrinkled his nose again and hissed slightly.
Logan snorted. “You’ve got quite the attitude for someone so little.”
He picked him up, ensuring that Dee still had a firm grip on Snek, and carried him to his bedroom.
Dee was sitting in the middle of his dad’s bed, slobbering all over Mr Snek while Dad changed into a blue shirt and a black skirt that reached past his knees. “What do you think Dee?”
“Dada!”
“Thanks baby, docs or flats?”
Dee poked his tongue out and blew a raspberry.
“You -” Logan booped his nose, “- are a fashion genius, thanks honey-dee.”
He tugged his boots on and ran a hand through his hair, which, thankfully, he had remembered to wash.
It was 6:48. “Okay Dee, Virgil’s supposed to get here soon, are you gonna be nice and not difficult?”
Dee giggled and Logan let out a sigh. “You, my little snake, are mischievous.”
Logan carried him out to the living room so he could set him down in the center of his toys. “Honey, play -”
He was cut off by the doorbell.
“Don’t move.” Logan teased.
Dee blew him a raspberry as he opened the door, Logan shot him a look over his shoulder and grinned.
“Hello Virgil.”
The seventeen year old gave him a lazy peace sign and stepped inside, he was wearing his usual hoodie and his violet hair was pulled back in a small ponytail. “Hi Lo.”
“Hmm, you didn’t have to be invited inside, and I was so sure you were a vampire.”
“Ha ha, you’re hilarious.” Virgil said dryly.
Logan smirked. “Dee’s over there.”
Virgil headed over to the toddler and picked him up. “Hey bud. Whatcha doin’?”
Logan smiled at them. He taught English to highschoolers and Virgil was one of his students. He was the best writer Logan had ever taught and after the teacher had defended him from some homophobic punks, they formed a friendship. Virgil was his number one babysitter and adored Dee as if they were siblings. Virgil was almost a second child to Logan at this point, his own parents weren’t so great and Logan would happily have him over, even if it was just to do some homework and relax.
Virgil sat on the couch with the toddler in his lap. “So, you have a date?”
“Yes, and before you start asking questions, his name is Patton Hart, he works at Remy’s cafe, that’s where we met the other day.”
“Is he cute?”
“Virgil.”
“Well?”
Logan groaned. “I don’t have to answer, I’m your teacher.”
Virgil waved him off. “You love me.”
Logan rolled his eyes fondly and checked his eyeliner in the mirror. “How do I look? I asked Dee and he gave me some great advice.”
“Was it Dada or Snek?” Virgil asked. “But you look really good, I like the boots.”
“Of course you do.”
The doorbell rang and Virgil smirked. “Your date’s here.”
“Shut up.” Logan stroked Dee’s hair and walked over to open the door. “Hi Patton.”
“Hey Lo!” Patton greeted.
Logan stepped aside. “Come in for a moment, I’m just gonna grab my stuff. This is Virgil by the way, he’s watching Dee while we’re out.”
Virgil waved. “Hey.”
“Hello, hi Dee!” Patton came over to sit next to them.
“I like your dress.” Virgil said as he played with Dee’s hair.
“Oh thank you!” Patton was wearing a light blue dress, long sleeved with a thin gold belt and a sleeveless denim jacket that went with his white knee length cat socks.
Logan reappeared with a navy shoulder bag. He knelt in front of Virgil and stroked his son’s cheek. “I’ll be back after bedtime, okay? I’ll see you tomorrow morning, be nice to Virge for me. Love you honey-dee.” He kissed Dee’s forehead and squeezed his shoulder lightly. “Thanks Vee, we’ll be back by 10 but I’ll message you if our plans change, just put him to bed in twenty minutes. Keep in contact, you know the rules.”
“I know, have fun.”
“Bye, let’s go Patton.”
Patton stood and waved at Dee. “Bye guys.”
Logan led him out and waved to Virgil.
“You look adorable.” Logan admitted as they walked down the street.
Patton beamed. “Thanks! You look really nice too, I like the pins.”
Logan glanced down at his bag where the small collection of badges were. A rainbow, a brain, a moon and stars and a cloud that read I’m not sorry for your fragile masculinity.
Patton linked their hands, and a blush spread across Logan’s cheeks.
“So, are you going to tell me where we’re going?” Patton asked.
“Not yet, we’re getting food to take to a surprise location.” Logan said as they turned a corner.
“And we’re walking?”
“It’s not far. I always liked this time of day, almost dark, everything seems calmer and more relaxed, I enjoy walking around here.”
Patton nodded. “That makes sense, it is pretty around here. I love the clouds, they’re beautiful.”
Logan looked up at the pink tinged sky, covered in smudges of orange and gold. “Yes, I suppose they are.”
Patton looked at him and smiled. God, his eyes were a fascinating blue, he was truly the cutest man Logan had ever seen. He smiled back and they kept walking, swinging their intertwined hands slightly.
“Here we are.” Logan announced. “They make the best burgers here.”
Patton looked down. “Um, I’m vegetarian.”
“That’s okay, I come here all the time with Remy and his boyfriend, Emile, he’s a vegetarian too and he absolutely loves their veggie burgers. They also have great fries.”
Patton’s bright smile returned. “Cool!”
They ordered their food to-go and walked out again.
“It’s not far, I promise.” Logan said as he guided Patton along the path.
They soon reached the place Logan was taking them, a park.
“It doesn’t seem like much but, this place is pretty and it’s fun and I really love bringing Dee here to lie on the grass and watch the sky.”
“Wow, Lo, this is actually really pretty.”
Logan led him over to a grassy spot by the playground and they sat. No one else was here, they had the place to themselves to eat and laugh and talk. Patton loved the burger, he loved the park, he loved the neighborhood, he was cheerful and bubbly and Logan found himself flustered and blushing every time Patton giggled or smiled. He was a waiter at Remy’s cafe, he loved working there, he really liked Remy and Emile and thought it was really cool that Remy and Logan were brothers.
Patton watched Logan talk about his job as a teacher, how talented Virgil was as a writer and how much he loved his son. He could talk about Dee for days and Patton could happily watch him.
“It’s almost 10.” Patton sighed, they were lying together on the grass watching the sky darken while holding hands. “Maybe we should go.”
“Probably, I really liked this though.” Logan said as he stood and stuffed their rubbish into his bag. “I’d love to do it again.”
“Absolutely! I love spending time with you.” Patton said, an adorable blush spreading under his freckles.
“I’m glad.” Logan murmured as they walked home again.
They reached Patton’s car and he stopped walking, he turned to Logan, his pale face glowing in the moonlight. “I should go, I really loved spending time with you Lo.”
“I feel the same way, Pat.”
They smiled and leaned forward to close the gap. When they pulled away, Logan was speechless.
Patton giggled softly. “Goodnight Logan Croft.”
“Goodnight Patton Hart.” Logan whispered as the smaller man climbed into his car and drove away.

Full of Life and Full of Love 4
If you want to be tagged in future chapters, send me an ask! I’ll totally do that, let me know what you think of this chapter, I thought I’d throw in Remile this time (I’m obsessed).
It wouldn’t let me add a ‘read more’ link? For some reason, idk, hopefully Tumblr will fix itself soon but I’m sorry if you need to scroll past a million times, I tried :(
Original post
Chapter 1
Chapter 2
Chapter 3
Chapter 4
Summary: Logan takes Dee to his brother’s cafe, Patton and Emile are there too.
Ship: Logicality, Remile, brotherly Sleepylogic,
Word count: 862 (Sorry it’s a small chapter, hopefully I’ll have something better next time)
Warnings: Sympathetic deceit, food mention
“Lolo!” Patton greeted. “Hi honey, I didn’t know you were coming.” The waiter came over to kiss his boyfriend quickly and smile at Dee. “Sit, I’ll just be a second.”
Logan sat on a stool at the counter, Dee in his lap, chewing on Mr Snek’s tail contently. He tickled his son’s sides cheekily as they waited for Patton to come over.
“Hey Lo, I can take a break now, how are you?” Patton asked cheerily.
Logan smiled. “I’m wonderful Pat, it’s lovely to see you.”
Dee grinned and reached up towards Patton. “’Atton! Up please!”
“Aww, of course kiddo!” Patton picked him up and kissed his forehead. “And how are you doing today honey?”
Dee cooed and patted Patton’s cheek. Logan chuckled.
“Is that my baby Dee I see?”
The couple looked over at the voice. Remy stood in the doorway to the kitchen, glasses pushed up on his head, wearing a leather jacket over a cropped tank top and torn skinny jeans. “I can’t believe my own brother would come into my cafe and completely ignore me! I barely get to see my precious baby snake.”
He sauntered over and poked his tongue out at Dee, reaching out to take him from Patton. “Hey babe.” He cooed. “Missed me?”
“Wem-wem!” Dee squealed.
“You saw him last weekend.” Logan pointed out.
“Irrelevant.” Remy dismissed, bouncing his baby nephew fondly. “How’s school?”
Logan smiled at the chance to talk about his students. He talked for a little while, catching up with his brother. Dee stayed in his uncle’s arms, perfectly content to curl up against Remy’s chest.
Patton brought them some cookies and leaned on Logan’s shoulder, pulling faces at Dee to make him smile. Logan drank his coffee as Remy filled him in on something he’d heard the other day, something about a friend’s friend’s sister’s friend and her girlfriend, Logan nodded along, piping in at necessary moments.
“- but apparently, she was actually - Emmy!” Remy cut himself off to greet his boyfriend.
"Oh my goodness, she was Emmy." Patton whispered, Logan smirked and pecked his boyfriend's cheek.
Emile closed the cafe door behind him and rushed over to duck under the counter and pop up to kiss his boyfriend. “Mmmm, hey pumpkin, hi Lo, Patton.”
“Hey angel.” Remy said, adjusting his hold on Dee.
“Hello Emile.” Logan said.
Remy passed the toddler back to his brother and leaned on the counter. “How’re you doin’ Emmy? Had a nice day?”
Emile smiled brightly. “Mhmm, I stopped by the animal shelter on my way back here, guess what?”
“What?” Remy asked, taking a sip of Logan’s coffee, earning a glare from his brother.
“One of the cats had baby kittens and oh my goodness, Rem, they’re so cute!”
“All kittens are babies.” Logan said.
“Shut up.” Remy poked his tongue out.
“Hey, be nice.” Emile scolded sweetly. “But Rem, honeybunch, these kittens are only two days old, it got me thinking, maybe we need a little cat in our lives?”
Remy chuckled. “Emmy, baby, kittens?”
“I only said one cat but if you want, like, six, I’m okay with that too.” Emile promised, wrapping his arms around his boyfriend’s neck.
“Okay, well, we’re not getting six.” Remy said, holding the other’s hips.
“So we _are _getting one?” Emile asked hopefully.
“No.” Remy said flatly, Emile pouted and started to pull away but Remy pulled him closer and kissed his temple. “One cat would get lonely, how does two sound?”
Emile let out a squeal of delight and jumped up to kiss his boyfriend properly. “Oh my gosh, Rem!”
“Hey, calm down angel, you’ll scare away my customers.” Remy reminded, but he was smiling too.
Patton beamed. “Awww! Yay, you better have us over to meet them as soon as possible, okay?”
Emile giggled and leaned up to peck Remy’s cheek. “Absolutely.”
Dee let out a sudden cry and the four adults turned their attention to him. Patton frowned. “Oh no, Dee, honey what’s wrong?”
Dee’s lower lip started quivering and tears welled up in his eyes before he cried again, breaking down into sobs. Logan cursed. “Can someone get Mr Snek? He dropped it.”
Emile ducked under the counter to grab it and dust it off. “Hey hey, Dee, look at me.”
The toddler looked at his almost uncle, tears rolling down his cheeks, his bottom lip jutted out in a pout. Emile gently pressed the snake plush into his weak grip and kissed his forehead. “It’s alright bub, Mr Snek is right here.” He gently poked the snake toy.
“T’ank you Emmy.” Dee said softly, holding the plush tightly against his face.
“No problem sweetheart.” Emile smiled and kissed his nose. “Do you want a cookie?” He whispered.
Dee broke into a grin. “Please!”
Logan squeezed him. “Lovely manners honey-dee.”
Emile went to get some treats from the cafe’s display case, Remy disappeared into the kitchen with a smirk.
Patton tickled Dee's side. "I'll talk to you two tonight." He kissed Logan quickly. "Bye Sweetpea."
"Bye Pat." Logan gave him a little smile and stood up. "I've got to say bye to Remy or he'll throw a tantrum, see you soon, love."

Word count: 1 204
Warnings: Sympathetic Deceit, crying, tantrum throwing, kissing
“Baby, I’m looking, just stop screaming, please.” Logan bounced the sobbing toddler as he pushed aside the couch cushions in search of Mr Snek.
“Snek!” Dee cried.
“I know honey, I know.” Logan stroked his son’s back and shushed him while furiously looking around the room for the bright yellow plush.
The doorbell rang and Logan bit back a groan. Patton was here and he really didn’t need to see this, Logan was a mess and Dee’s screaming could be heard throughout the entire street. “Dee, honey, we’ll find Snek, just try and calm down a little.”
He opened the front door. “Hey Pat.”
Patton’s eyes widened as he took in the tantrum throwing baby and Logan’s disheveled self. “Hi.”
He stepped and closed the door behind him. “Um, can I help? You look... tired.”
Logan laughed bitterly. “Uh-huh, I am, if you could help search for Mr Snek, that would be great.” He shot Patton a hopeful smile.
“The plush snake on top of the fridge?” Patton, pointing through the doorway to the kitchen.
Logan looked over. “Yes! Oh my god thank you so much!” He rushed over and reached up to grab the plush before handing to Dee. “See baby? I told you we’d find it.”
Dee squealed happily and squeezed the snake. “Mr Snek!” He chewed on the end of the tail happily and cooed up at his dad.
“Yes, we found it, can you thank Patton?”
“‘Tank you ‘Atton!”
Patton giggled and petted his hair. “You’re very welcome Dee.”
Logan smiled at the toddler. “It usually takes him a while to say people’s names, he didn’t say Virgil until he’d known him for a month.”
“‘Irgil?”
“Aww, that’s so cute!” Patton cooed.
Logan chuckled. “I agree, he is undeniably adorable.”
Patton smiled at Logan as he gazed lovingly at his son. Patton leaned forward to peck his cheek. “I know we were going to go out, but why don’t we just stay here and have a picnic outside?”
Logan swayed with the toddler. “That sounds perfect, I’d love to.”
Patton beamed. “Can I make sandwiches for us?”
“No, I can do it, why don’t  you go play with Dee? He likes new people.”
Patton smiled and reached over to pull the toddler into his arms. “Sure, hi honey.” He cooed. “Let’s take Mr Snek over there, huh? Oh and Lo, before I forget, why on earth was the snake on top of the fridge?”
Logan chuckled. “I needed to hide it for bath time so he wouldn’t get distracted, I just forgot where I put it.”
Patton nodded. “Makes sense I guess.”
Patton kept the baby entertained with his set of blocks while Logan prepared lunch.
“Mr Snek!” Dee squeaked as he pushed himself off the floor and crawled past his block tower and into Patton’s lap. Patton giggled and held him steady as the small child leaned over his shoulder to grab the snake plush that lay on the couch. “Snek.” He said proudly as he sat back down on Patton.
“Yeah kiddo, it is.”
Dee made grabby hands for the rainbow block tower and whined, he looked up at Patton and whimpered. “Bwocks.”
Patton giggled and drew the tower closer to them, Dee made a pleased coo and smacked them down using the fist that held Mr Snek. When all the blocks came tumbling down, he erupted into giggles.
Patton laughed with him and gently tickled his sides, the toddler squirmed and shrieked in delight.
“You laugh a lot, don’t you, honey?” Patton asked as he set the child back on the carpet.
“‘Atton!” Dee reached for the adult with his chubby fists.
Patton smiled and pulled him back onto his lap. “Okay kiddo, you can sit here.”
Logan set a plate of sandwiches on the coffee table. “He likes you.”
“Oh yeah?” Patton looked up, his surprise seemed genuine.
“Of course, he says your name, he smiles at you and he’s sitting in your lap without sending me scared looks.”
“Oh, well I guess.” Patton looked down. “That’s good, I like him too. And you.”
Logan blushed. “Thanks, I like you too.”
Patton lifted Dee onto his hip and stood. “It’s really nice outside, why don’t we sit on the grass and eat?”
Logan looped an arm around his waist. “That sounds lovely Pat.”
They headed out to the front lawn to sit in the grass, Dee sat in Logan’s lap while he ate his crofters sandwich before crawling away to look at bugs. Patton shifted closer to Logan and rested his head in his lap.
“Dee is really cute, he takes after his dad.”
Logan blushed and ran his fingers through Patton’s hair. “I enjoy spending time with you Patton.”
“I like being with you too Lo.”
“Would you like to be my boyfriend?” Logan asked softly.
Patton grinned and used Logan’s shoulder to pull himself up and kiss him, his arms wrapped themselves around his neck. Logan kissed him back and held his hips steadily. When they pulled back, they were both smiling.
“I’d love to.”
Logan kissed him again but they were interrupted by squeal.
“Dee!” Logan gasped, he turned frantically to see his child staring in awe at something by the path that led to the house.
Patton put a reassuring hand on his chest. “He’s okay, come on honey, breathe.”
He helped him up and they knelt by the toddler.
“What did you find, baby?” Logan rubbed Dee’s back gently.
Dee pointed at a worm that was inching along the path. “Small snek!”
Patton giggled. “That’s a worm sweetheart, they do look like small snakes though, don’t they?”
Logan chuckled picked Dee up. “Come on little one, it’s time you had a nap.”
“Dada!” Dee whined. “Nooo! ‘Atton!”
Patton chuckled. “Sorry Dee-dee, can’t save you.”
Dee pouted, he clearly wasn’t pleased. Logan kissed his soft hair. “Come on honey-dee, you’ll see Patton later.”
Patton followed Logan through the house to Dee’s room. Patton was speechless as he looked around the bedroom, it was painted a soft grey, a white crib was pushed against the far wall. There was a rocking chair by the chest of toys. It followed a strict yellow, white and grey colour scheme, with plenty of blankets and pillows. The whole room gave off a warm and cosy vibe.
“Shhh, come on honey-dee, time to sleep love.” Logan lay Dee down gently and he cooed. “Dada.” He mumbled sleepily.
“Uh-huh, close your eyes baby. There we go, sweet dreams honey, Dada loves you.”
Patton gently looped his arms around Logan’s middle. “You’re an amazing dad.” He whispered.
Logan grabbed one of the baby monitors off the shelf and clipped it to his belt loop. “Thanks.” He murmured.
He led them to the living room and sat down on the couch. Patton sat in his lap and looked at him. “Hey.” He smiled softly.
“Hello.” Logan leaned forward to press their lips together, Patton smiled into the kiss and cupped his cheek. “I have to go.” He whispered.
Logan sighed as Patton stood. “Yeah okay. Maybe we’ll stop by the cafe tomorrow.”
“I’d like that.” Patton gave him one more kiss. “Bye Lolo.”
“Bye Pat.”
