As promised with Finished Job and My Heart's With You being posted I'll be starting to post some Hades fics in the coming months. I have, maybe 9 or so in the first draft stage. I'm super excited to share with everyone. I've made strides with Captive Pt 4 and I think I'll be done with it before the end of 2025 (time permitted).

hey there! fair enough question. I can tell you that I'm definitely still working on them. Hell, I even have proof. Here's an excerpt from the current WIP for part 6 of FPU:

Over the last two years I've just been very very busy moving, job seeking, dating--all of that touch grass stuff. A lot of irl stuff has finally started to settle down though and I've been able to make some more progress on the upcoming chapter. As of late, I was stuck on a specific section, (not too dissimilar to the spot I was stuck on in chapter 4 of FPU, iykyk), but it's starting to come together a lot which has been great. Basically, it's getting there. I think about the fic every day, and writing it still excites me 👍

Rezidenčné centrum AIR Guiginiguada sa nachádza v chránenej krajinnej oblasti divokého olivového lesa v krásnom údolí Guiginiguada. Obe strany údolia sú lemované strmými skalami, do ktorých od nepamäti boli vyhlbované jaskyne slúžiace ako príbytky. Mnohé z týchto jednoduchých obydlí boli neskôr rozšírené na systém navzájom prepojených jaskýň a postupom času k vnútorným priestorom vyhĺbeným do skaly pribudli aj dobudované vonkajšie časti domov. To je aj prípad mnohopodlažnej budovy, v ktorej sa nachádza rezidenčné centrum.

Z údolia vedie množstvo turistických trás, ktoré majú hlbokú tradíciu a sú spojené so špecifickým charakterom života na ostrove. Väčšina z nich sa totiž odvodila z fenoménu tzv. Transhumanzy- modelu tradičných trás pútnickych pastierov,  ktorý každoročne putujú so svojimi stádami podľa ročných období z nížin do hôr a údoliami k pbrežiu. V súčasnosti je sieť chodníkov prepájajúca pastviská dlhá bezmála 570km. Tieto pradávne trasy dali základ väčšine turistických chodníkov a mnohým menším cestám a celý ostrov je tak popretkávaný trasami pozývajúcimi na dlhé púte krajinou. Hoci v súčasnosti sa transhumanye venuje už len 23 pastierov a ich priemerný vek je 60 rokov, sú miestnou legendou. Jedna známa mi hovorí príbeh o pastierovi, ktorý každej ovci vyrobí unikátny zvonček a podľa konkrétneho zvuku môže privolať každú samostatne.

Tieto cesty prepájajú údolia a vedú po hrebeňoch vysočín poskytujúc široké výhľady na subtropickú sopečnú krajinu s množstvom exotických a endemických drohov. Je možné putovať hodiny alebo celé dni, zabudnúť na čas a nechať sa vtiahnuť do plynutia určovaného dychom a pohybom v súlade s okolím.

Na ostrove sa nachádza až 132 oficíálnych archeologických lokácií. Väčšina z nich sa týka práve jaskynných obydlí pôvodných obyvateľov, systémov sýpok, pohrebísk a svätýň, v menšej miere sú to aj miesta s maľbami na skalách a petroglyfmi. Pôvodní obyvatelia sa označujú Guanche a predpokladá sa, že to boli Berberi zo severnej Afriky, ktorí prišli na ostrov pred tisíckami rokov a vytvorili specifickú kultúru úzko prepojenú s miestnou krajinou. Žili v malých komunitách prevažne v jaskyniach vyhĺbených do úbočí skál a ich spirituálne a pohrebné rituály naznačujú hlboké prepojenie s drsnou miestnou krajinou. Ich dedičstvo dodnes prežilo v niektorých tradíciách, jazykových prvkoch a historických miestach.

Do zimného rezidenčného programu bolo vybratých celkom 5 účastníkov, ktorí mali možnosť ponoriť sa do čara tejto magickej krajiny, zdieľať svoju tvorbu ale aj spoznať miestny život a kultúru predovšetkým skrz návštevy susedného mestečka Santa Brigida. Za mimoriadnu udalosť považujem predstavenie miestneho amatérskeho divadla, kde sa na scéne objavilo prinajmenšom 30 žien v celej škále vekových kategórií a rozohrali sériu drobných etúd a úprimných spovedí súvisiacich s témami ženstva vrátane tabuizovaných a náročných tém pred plnou sálou pozostávajúcou z ich blízkych a známych. Mimoriadna odvaha a inšpirácia.

Tohoto pobytu som sa mohla zúčastniť vďaka podpore Fondu na podporu umenia, za čo úprimne ďakujem.
