fun things you can do when you have an f/o! (part 2)

compile an amazon list or pinterest board of clothes they would wear!

if you're able, buy snacks you think they would enjoy!

name a stuffed animal after them or name a stuffed animal something you think they would name it.

make yourself a sticky note as if they made it (like a doodle, a simple 'i love you', or something silly!)

if your f/o has a particular interest, look into it! study it, if you'd like!

take quizzes as if you were them. could be something serious, or something silly you find on uquiz.

if your f/o is romantic and you would want to have children with them, pick out baby names! compile a pinterest board of baby clothes or toys you and your f/o would purchase together.

build you and your f/os dream home in a building game (like minecraft or the sims)

plan out a vacation of somewhere you'd want to go with your f/o. maybe you could make a Google slides "brochure" to convince them to go.

if your f/o has a canon perfume or cologne they wear, or alternatively, their source created one for them (primaniacs website has a long list of series they've made scents for!) put the scent notes into fragranticas "search by notes" feature to find a dupe, or make one yourself you think theyd wear!

compile a list of flowers you'd think (or know) your f/o likes, make them into a bouquet and maybe look up the meanings for each flower.

compile a list of bath and body works candles or body lotions your f/o would buy!

This review is long overdue. the first time I smelled Angel by thierry mugler was 2003. It was summer- I was at a pre college program that Bennington College ran. High school students would stay in the dorms and go to classes like sculpture, creative writing, dance etc. it was an arts program. I signed up for beat poetry and fashion design. I quickly became disinterested in beat poetry and switched my “major” to philosophy.

I brought my notebook. I was going to take some fucking notes. Philosophy and fashion design- I loved the vibe. Fuck beat poetry.

College students of Bennington would work at the camp as our teachers. My philosophy teacher was this tiny raspy voiced woman. She couldn’t have been older than 30. She dressed in dark denim and a small baby t shirt that was ripped- necklaces and rings and boots. She has black hair with blonde streaks. She smoked cigarettes even though they weren’t allowed to.

I forget her name but halfway through the summer she bought a pug puppy. She was so cool with motorcycle boots and this tiny pug on a rhinestone blue leash. One day she came into class wearing a shirt that she had made, it said “don’t touch my pug”

So cool it was like so Nylon magazine.

The setting at Bennington was summer in Vermont. Sweet grasses and the smell of all different shampoos from the campers. Wet hair and lavender with smokey campfire. My philosophy teacher wore Angel but i didn’t know it was angel. I smelled her and then my life was dedicated to finding out what it was. I was too shy to ask her though. I would smell every perfume at Sephora except angel lol- finally my friend from high school had it in her room one day when we were playing video games. I was so happy, I now knew.

- [ ] I will never not react to smelling Angel. I will always say “love it”. It reminds me so much of my hot smart philosophy teacher. It literally gives me swag when I wear it. I’m not myself for a second. I spray it and my spirit and psyche activate. Memory is nothing without scent- fragrance is nothing without memory

i don’t think so... unless you count the sparkly skin 

29. does your f/o have any artistic hobbies? (knitting, drawing, painting, etc)

i’m sure he has had the desire to learn some artistic hobbies like painting, but he’s a poetry kind of guy 

31. what type of scent does your f/o remind you of?

i feel like i’m not answering this question “correctly”, but i have to shove in my other interests besides drooling for fictional spouses somehow (like fr i have a fragrantica account and everything): 

this one is kind of funny, because the name of this scent literally has “twilight” in it, BUT it isn’t because of that. it’s because it’s a musky, woodsy, fruity type of scent? which works with the imagery of his source as well as just gives me his vibes. the notes are lush berry, sparkling mandarin, soft mimosa, apricot nectar, and cypress wood, and it sounds very fruity, but the cypress wood note is very forward. i’m not sure why it doesn’t have some kind of fluffy musk note in there, because the fruity notes mentioned are more lowkey than that. in any case... it’s very nice - deep and soft... i miss having it tbh

there is indeed a fire accord on fragrantica, and it does not smell like burnt nose hair.

Bitter Rose and Broken Spear by DS&Durga smells like depression, embers, thyme, and someone's bad relationship with his grandmother.

white musk and amber for the meme

to my knowledge there is not a specific note for white musk; but there are many massively popular perfumes called white musk, including one by the Body Shop which includes an amber base note and is apparently driving people to practice thelema and fuck nasty. See below:

the thing about fragrantica reviews is that many of them are written by insane reactionaries with the type of disposable income that allows them to spends thousands on liquids in nice bottles. you WILL see people denying war crimes while comparing of rosechoulis. you will see erotic fanfiction about historical figures you thought uneroticisable! you will see written horrors beyond your comprehension, and you will learn a surprising amount about analytical chemistry.
