   summer   finn’s   influence   is   kind   of   contradictory   ,   but   so   is   sum   ,   so   it   oddly   makes   sense   to   me   .   sum’s   always   been   very   quixotic   &   enthralled   in   love   &   what   it   entails   ,   but   she’s   never   let   anyone   close   enough   to   actually   experience   it   herself   ,   even   if   the   opposite   person   was   in   love   with   her   .   she   loved   love   ,   but   there’s   always   been   a   fear   of   love   due   to   the   open   opportunity   for   rejection   ,   but   her   parents’   divorce   only   made   it   worse   ,   &   now   ,   she   doesn’t   believe   in   it   at   all   .   she   shares   summer’s   now   emotionless   girl   trope   ,   as   she’s   purposely   enigmatic   &   manic   pixie   dream   girl  -  like   after   her   parents’   crumbled   marriage   .  however   ,   it’s   not   actuality   ,   &   sum   can   be   overemotional   at   times   behind   closed   doors   .   with   her   relations   ,   sum   sends   a   lot   of   mixed   messages   &   will   say   she   wants   one   thing   but   act   as   though   she  wants   the   opposite   .   she   can   be   childish   in   that   sense   ,   but   ultimately   believes   she’s   protecting   herself   from   ending   up   broken   like   her   mother   .

iii.          her  mother’s  unholiness  :  lust  ,  unable  to  contain  the  proper  southern  charm  that  oozed  from  her  with  every  sickly  sweet  smile  .  the  hook  up  merely  beginning  as  a  means  to  bribe  a  judge  ,  to  ensure  that  georgia  won  .  it  never  ended  ,  their  tryst  turning  into  a  full  blown  affair  –  kept  under  wraps  as  cherilyn  buchanan  found  the  one  thing  she  desired  the  most  :  to  feel  young  again  .

iv.         her  father’s  unholiness  :  pride  ,  eager  hands  unwrapping  his  wife’s  affair  like  a  present  he  never  wanted  .  the  decision  to  remain  together  born  out  of  their  love  for   georgia  ,  the  two  hiding  their  fights  behind  closed  doors  as  the  spark  between  them  fizzled  out  .  kisses  were  reserved  for  the  public  only  ,  the  marriage  merely  proven  by  a  piece  of  paper  .

v.         slowly  ,  her  life  begins  to  unravel  from  perfection  to  tatters  .  for  a  couple  years  after  ,  georgia  never  understood  why  her  father  traded  quality  time  with  her  for   coaching  .  he  always  had  an  excuse  ,  work  his  top  priority  .  her  mother  played  it  off  ,  he  was  a  busy  man  &  georgia  had  other  prospects  to  look  forward  to  –  worry  creates  frown  lines  .

vi.       one  night  ,  georgia  accidentally  stumbled  upon  the  truth  –  her  mother’s  transgressions  the  reason  for  the  sudden  change  that  occurred  between  her  &  her  father  .  it  was  too  much  for  him  ,  a  heartache  each  time  he  looked  at  her  :  the  spitting  image  of  her  mother  in  almost  every  way  .  georgia  internalized  her  resentment  ,  unable  to  change  &  envious  for  what  she  could  no  longer  have  .

vii.        after  the  revelation  ,  all  georgia  wanted  was  to  find  a  way  to  steal  her  father’s  affection  back  .  it  started  innocent  ,  dying  her  golden  locks  to  brunette  .  much  to  her  mother’s  protest  ,  georgia  quit  pageants  &  traded  in  her  new  found  free  time  for  late  night  escapades  .  when  shedding  her  babydoll  persona  for  one  more  perverse  didn’t  work  ,  georgia  tried  harder  as  she  went  from  stumbling  home  tipsy  to  being  drunk   more  often  than  sober  .

viii.        at  eighteen  ,   georgia   found   success  as  her  father  took  on  a  new  coaching  position  at  dillon  university  .  he  insisted  she  attended  as  a  means  to  keep  an  eye  on  her  ,  her  behavior  ,  as  of  late  ,  unacceptable  .  with  the  separation  from  her  mother  ,  georgia  thought  their  relationship  would  improve  --  always  showing  up  to  games  &  refusing  to  join  the  cheerleading  squad  as  a  sign  that  she  was  different  from  her  mother  .  yet  ,  vying  for  her  father’s  attention  seemed  to  be  the  new  norm  . 

ix.        the  world  blurred  ,  georgia  finding  herself  as  dependent  on  liquor  as  she  was  on  becoming  daddy’s  little  girl  again  .  it  got  old  keeping  up  with  her  charade  –  her  mother’s  isms  still  engrained  &  her  efforts  to  break  from  the  mold  futile  .  the  bottles  of  vodka  hidden  beneath  old  pageant  dresses  the  only  escape  ,  a  way  for  her  to  feel  nothing  at  all  .

the delgados are a family of medical practitioners . both caesar and loren are doctors and so were their parent/s . it’s almost set in stone that if you are part of this delgado clan , you had to work in the medical field .

cruz’ path has always been set on becoming a doctor because that was what his parents wanted . in fact , he was planning on taking a pre-med course for college until he discovered he had skills in football . ever since , he focused most of his time and energy on football . he realized that being a doctor wasn’t his dream , he didn’t want to pursue that career and he was only doing it because of his parents .

when he told his parents about not wanting to become a doctor , they weren’t happy about it . his mom was disappointed in him but decided to support him eitherways . his dad on the other hand , he was very disappointed and changed his attitude towards cruz . he barely talked to cruz anymore , treated him like an outsider in the family . he didn’t even go to any of cruz’ games in high school . caesar made cruz feel that he was a disappointment . 

it didn’t help that his younger brother jude was the one pursuing the medical career instead of him . it caused a rift between the two brothers because jude didn’t want to become a doctor either and he thinks that cruz is being selfish for choosing football as his career path . 

it was tough for cruz because no one really supported him with his life choice . he feels like a big disappointment even if he was just pursuing what he really wants to do . he can’t help but blame himself for caesar and jude hating him and constantly beats himself up about it . he tries his best out in the field for his family because he doesn’t want to disappoint them any further .

winslet’s parents met at dillon university & were college sweethearts. they moved to dallas after college but winslet’s grandparents still lived in dillon so she’d visit them a lot on weekends & school breaks. her parents tugged her in different directions — her dad wanted her to play music, but her mom wanted her to be a cheerleader — so she did both, bouncing between practices and lessons. 

head cheerleader and student body president, winslet had everything going for her — until her dad died in a gas station robbery when she was 16, with her as the witness. everything went downhill for her after that. she began experimenting with drugs, sex, parties. after getting arrested for a minor shoplifting charge when she was 17, she was sent to live with her grandparents in dillon & finish the rest of high school there. that didn’t stop her reckless behavior, & she went to rehab the summer before college.

went to dillon bc it was really her only option !! still doesn’t feel at home & is ready to get as far as she can from texas the second she graduates.

she’s still a huge partier, will never admit that she has a problem, will deny it till the day she dies. she’s what some would call, the life of the party, and can act like a fool...but in the way that’s almost cool & ppl fuck with it

somehow worked her way up to being cheer captain ?? in between partying and music, she dedicates a lot of her time to cheer. it started off as her trying to please & her mom but she’s grown to really love it !!

cohen currently lives in a glorified, raggedy frat-esque house ( he is NOT a fratboy but he might as well be huh ) of his own right off campus, about a five minute drive / ten minute walk from the stadium ( it’s about four bedrooms large with three bathrooms, all on one floor. think david dobrik’s house–click here to see–except much uglier and CHEAP MVDFLG ). 

he’s fiscally very protective of his savings. he’s been working since he was 12 with his dad, and never ever spent his money, despite some repetitive near-misses where his parents tried ( and failed, bc cohen’s slick ) to steal money from him. basically he now pays for his share of the house using the money he saves/has always saved working for factories, farms, & fixing people’s junk cars. 

his only current roommate is foster, meaning he has two spare rooms he’s not really doing anything with. beer pong table’s outside, the kitchen is the alcohol hot spot, there’s a pool table instead of a dining room table, u know how it goes. 

regardless, he throws open invite house parties literally every weekend. they take place every friday night up until the sun rises on sunday morning–whether he’s around the house for all of five seconds or all night doesn’t matter, because they’re always a-go. 

you’re all 100% free to use his house entirely at your leisure for character fun / development / a place for ur thread to take place / etc! you don’t even need to get my okay beforehand! just do it! think of it as a known dillon fact that cohen’s having a house party every weekend NFKDFNDFKJG. 

no matter who you are, whether cohen likes you or not, he will not care if you show up with some randos or familiar faces and party it out. he’s socially bored 24/7 and full of apathy and alcohol at all times so mans probably will be plastered drunk out doing donuts in the parking lot and fighting someone he doesn’t have beef with anyway. ur muse probably won’t even see him there. hardworking–he works himself to the bone and is entirely unapologetic about it. you’ll rarely catch him slipping, but if he does, he’s the first to get ear-splittingly angry with himself over it. he’s way too hard on himself & he knows it, but he’ll never admit it. 

he nitpicks at the flaws of others in an effort to feel superior, and always acts unaffected when he’s called out for bringing the team down when he’s not taking care of himself ( cue vince howard from fnl or nathan scott from oth scenes where they’re bragging about how good they are on the field even though he’s apt to get himself hurt because of how desperate he is for some kind of validation–cohen had a huge issue with restricting and abusing stimulants / testing steroids throughout high school and college in an attempt to boost his football persona. he was always incredibly fast and beat literal ODDS to maintain his wide receiver position, but especially thanks to his small build he’s used to being underestimated / downplayed, which puts a really heavy weight on his shoulders. today, he’s eating healthily, he’s off drugs, and he’s taking care of himself better than he ever has before, but it’s still incredibly hard and he still reaches out for ways to overcompensate, which is where alcohol usually comes into play ).

dillon , texas born & raised . on the outskirts of town is a ranch that is enough to house the beckham family: mom, dad, and all eight beckham children . beck is the second oldest , with one older sister , four younger sisters , and two younger brothers . . . not necessarily in that order . 

mother , sophia mattheson - beckham is a lawyer based in austin working with the ACLU , and father , michael beckham has a small private practice in dillon working as a pediatrician . they weren’t home often , but when they were , they spent as much time with the kiddos as possible . it’s just . . . they were so rarely home that it really didn’t matter. 

with the beckham name, though, comes the pressure to be SOMETHING GREAT , and that’s something that’s been a part of beck’s life since . . . he can remember . little league & kindergarten grades were always taken a little too seriously , and it didn’t help that his older sister was a shining example of perfection . 

growing up it was hard not to like him. he was quiet for the most part , but goofy when he wasn’t . there was a little extra charm about him that just gave him an all around magnetic pull . kids wanted to be his friend and he wanted to be theirs . he fit in , but around home , he was the odd man out . beck was always a little more interested in sports rather than math or music rather than reading . it wasn’t to say he wasn’t smart , it just kind of –– bored him?? where his family was v

there was give and take with beck–– the golden boy of dillon but the black sheep of the family . he could play hockey if he kept his grades up. he could take guitar if he was also on student government and model u.n.. his parents would applaud him on his grades but never cared to hear him play; they’d show up for debates but rarely ever saw a hockey game. it was touch and go, his relationship with them, and it still is.

DESPITE IT ALL though, you wouldn’t catch him complaining. he bore the crown of homecoming king his senior year and never went to a dance without a date. teachers loved him, so did his coaches. he found a best friend in one cameron sloane –– ( because of course he did ) –– when the sloanes moved to dillon , and they were an unstoppable kind’a duo on and off the ice.

when it came time to pick a college, he really . . . had his pick of the lot. coulda gone anywhere, but there were roughly six reasons , all with the same last name , that kept him close to home. his parents even agreed that if he went in as pre-med, they would pay for the whole thing . . . and even make time to watch him play hockey. 

things were good for a long while, until they weren’t. you can usually see the stars on the outskirts of dillon, but one night, his sophomore year, you couldn’t. storm clouds covered ‘em up, and he tried his damndest to get cameron to stick around a celebratory party until it passed, but sloanes are stubborn and there was no changing his mind. 

cam passing away was like losing a brother, and he spent countless hours pacing in a hospital waiting room . . . hoping for good news and never getting it. beck had never known loss like that, and it knocked him into a bit of a tailspin . he quit hockey and didn’t register for school the next year . he spent a lot of time at a family residence in austin and even more time drinking . for the most part . . . he kind of DISAPPEARED , losing himself in the process for a good nine months.

they say it takes a village to raise a kid, and it took a village to drag this one out of a spiral. his parents. his siblings. his friends. and eventually . . .  dillon’s football coaching staff. a loud knock on the door from coach buchanan and a swift kick in the ass from coach sloane, a man who knew the kid almost as well as he’d known his own son. come work for us, they told him . . . and it was a way to get him back on track under a watchful eye that. wasn’t quite as critical as his parents

so that’s where we are now . . . back at dillon, a year behind, and working with both the football and cheerleading team as a physical trainer, playing a heavy hand in making sure both teams are the best conditioned in the state of texas. his grades are looking up, and he’s still on the fast track for med school, much to his –– and his parents’s –– surprise. 

the beckhams don’t talk about his little stint of a spiral. no one in dillon does . . . unless in tones of hushed whispers alongside judgmental looks. beck doesn’t mind it too much ,though . . . even takes it as a challenge

small town texas superstar logan casey has arrived !! jk but basically he’s been someone dillon university has been eyeing for quite a while — relatively good grades, no previous trouble, and a favorite among texas high school football radio for being one of the best high school strong safeties in the state!

a nickname, an old relic that he loves to hate —  is the sport announcers use of the name “ double me casey “ as in, put two men on the field to cover him or he will catch the ball... but you can imagine the unfortunate jokes his teammates came up with, with that one.

THAT SAID — one glance and it’s pretty obvious why he’s so good: the boy has no life outside of football. he’s young, still a freshman, and as straight laced as good ol’ texas boys come. he doesn’t drink, he doesn’t smoke, and goes about his studies without getting into trouble !

but what’s more odd is that casey doesn’t seem to talk very much at all. like ....  at all. more often he’s content with a nod, or a grunt to be polite. he keeps his head down, does his work ( albeit, struggles to ), and doesn’t let much “ distract him “ from football.

clara leigh sloane was born in small town, louisiana to a family that lived and breathed sports. her grandpa coached college football in the sec for years, ending his career with a national championship team that included his son, clara’s father. that was the same year clara’s older brother was born, the spitting image of her father and the sloane family’s pride & joy. it was then that, choosing coaching over a professional career for the sake of his son. five years later, clara came along.

her parents were college sweethearts, and they really thought they wanted the same things. one kid couldn’t save their marriage... two kids didn’t do the trick either, and when clara was five, her mother packed her things and left, never to be heard from again.

they were a happy little trio, though! traveling every now and then for the sake of dad’s job as a high school football coach. he had quite a few national championship titles under his belt at the high school level, all of which clara watched from the sidelines.

she grew up very interested in everything her dad and brother were doing. curious in general, honestly, but this began her love of sports. specifically: football and hockey. football, from her father. hockey, from her brother.

she and her brother were just far enough apart in age to never have to cross each others paths too much, but everyone who knew cameron–– clara’s brother–– knew her as little sloane. she never minded it, just as she never minded drowning in one of his old hockey jerseys from the sidelines and learning to skate with him also on the ice. he was .. her favorite person, honestly. and he didn’t mind his kid sister being around either.

life was relatively smooth sailing. never rich, but never going hungry. never short on love in the sloane household, and never boring with two kids that had crazy colorful personalities. like these two were just.. . . goofballs and they played off of  each other’s energy like it was nothing. comedians of family thanksgiving. choreographed living room routine. idiots, rly

when she was about 13, her dad got into coaching at the college level, taking a small school to a national championship before being hired by the university of michigan to turn their football program around.

he was given two years, and he couldn’t manage it, despite coming close. around the same time cameron got a full ride to dillon for hockey, their father got hired as the defensive coordinator at dillon. thus, the whole family picked up and moved to texas.

when she was a senior in high school, and cameron was a junior in college, cam was involved in a car accident that left him brain dead. after days in the hospital and exhausting resources, clara and her father said their goodbyes and he was gone. u know that scene in if i stay?? where the grandpa is like it’s okay.. you can leave go if you have to?? p much . .. that. clara held his hand until she was dragged away

there’s a bit of a grey cloud that hangs over the sloane family since. his room hasn’t been touched. his car sits under a tarp in a shed behind the house. their father doesn’t talk about it, never did, so clara just kinda navigated that grief alone. she’s... fINE REALLY SHE’S perfectly fine

but incapable of leaving dillon, it seems, as she chose to go there to stay close to her dad and to be close to cameron

she’s always loved the sidelines and has a very stem-wired brain, so she’s going for athletic training to be an athletic trainer... of course akjdhfa in hopes of working for the nfl or the nhl... or maybe med school to be an actual team-hired doctor

a lot of her friendships are very surface level because she’s got this way about her that’s very optimistic, very fun, very sunshine and that’s kind of what people expect of her, so she doesn’t really let anyone see anything different than that. very few people get close to her, but those people?? she’d do anything for ... .. . lowkey she soft

stubborn! and! competitive! put them together and you have someone who hates not being immediately perfect at something. she gets frustrated with herself very very easily

very opinionated and does not hesitate to stand up for herself or others. this can kinda come off as a bit know it all sometimes, or like she’s incredibly sure of herself. she’s not. in fact, she’s.... not her own biggest fan. her older brother was golden, and losing him made her an only child in some sorts. that pressure to be perfect was now on her, and her strained relationship with her father certainly didn’t help that. nowadays he seems to be more interested in his work and getting to a head coaching spot at another university than anything else.

a little history

daisy grew up bouncing from foster home to foster home in downtown LA.  she went through at least five homes in twelve years before the last one finally stuck and she had found her forever home with the brooks’. f

five years of adjusting and growing to love where they were all at had gone by and the new family of five found themselves packing up and moving to the very small town of dillon. daisy’s father had accepted a job at dillon medical and that was that. they were off. 

the family as a whole had a lot of adjusting to do, but it didn’t take daisy long to get well adjusted and well acquainted with the small town. she fell in love with the idea that almost everybody knew everybody even though that meant that gossip spread quick. 

that being said, daisy’s perfect little world came to a crashing halt when word got around that her father had been having a secret affair. her mother moved out and her father’s boyfriend moved in. the remaining years dee and her siblings spent every other week at her mother’s house.

dee’s hour-long bike rides turned into day-long ones. anything to stay out of the house. she looked for anything as a distraction. anyone to use as a distraction. 

once dee was accepted into dillon university, she moved out and tried to distance herself as much as she could from her family. she’s very embarrassed by what happened and 110% can’t really stand her father’s boyfriend. 

she can be super reckless but HUGE softy and like... craves (the right kind of) attention tbh

Hello everyone! Here is my lovely Matilda “Tilly” Rose. Here is some more information about her. Also, I love all the plots and connections.

Matilda is an old soul at heart. She enjoys everything vintage, record players, old books, poetry, and thrift stores. All in all, she enjoys simple things such as an old book and a cup of hot tea. She is studying nursing because she cares about others, and will put others above herself. 

At first glance she is not the typical cheerleader type, however her parents always had her involved in sports such as gymnastics and cheer from a young age in an attempt to get her our of her shell. 

Matilda is more of the shy type, a true hopeless romantic. She is sweet at nature and will warm up to others very quickly. Tilly has never felt like she has truly ever belonged to one group, and often has been more of a lone wolf.
