for @endless-obilvion ;; continued from HERE
It was always thillian when he came around; Camila, due to her shy personality, hadn’t found the courage to ask for his name but she had figured out the man’s pattern, he showed up at least once a week, walked around and then ended up taking vegetables, he looked fit so she guessed he needed all the healthy food he bought and she had watched his hot body from afar; daydreaming about it now and then but never being able to get into a full conversation with him besides the commercial transaction.  “Hi.” Camila greeted him again when he finally saw her. “Alright.” The blonde nodded, still smiling before chuckling when he pointed out the stroll she had already figured out. “I must say I’ve never seen someone buy so many vegetables per week.” She snickered. “Uhm, but I can help you with somenew. If you want.” She shrugged, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear. “Are you... interested in plants? We’ve got some very pretty low-maintance ones if you don’t have experience with plants. Her experience with men was limited to her one long-term boyfriend whom made her want to keep to herself instead of date and after that, she turned to her plants; it was the one thing that helped her get through the difficult break-up, focus on them, and by now, it was the one topic she was good at.  She wished she accepted her girl friends’ invitations to go out, got a little more ‘field experience’ flirting but she was on her own means today when she finally started a conversation with the man.

It even surprised Jeff how he gone from this playboy, swooning women with just a flash of that smirk, and a few sweet nothings uttered to them. Now? He couldn’t even get himself to actually strike up a conversation with the woman, and the only reason he knew her name was because of the name tag that was pinned to her shirt. He could’ve easily blamed it on his discharge as if you asked the United States Marine Corp what he faced out there that he didn’t dare utter a single word about would change a man. Which it very well indeed changed him, and his long time girlfriend leaving him shortly after. For Jeff though he rather pin the blame on the fact that he been rusty, and blonde that he found being the only reason he even came was a completely different scale of attractiveness. Causing a first for Jeff the feeling of having something caught in his throat every time he even thought of starting a conversation with the woman.
“If I’m honest with you. Most of them end up sitting in the bottom of my fridge begging to be eaten until they go bad.” A light chuckle leaving his lips, before his tongue glided across his bottom lip. His eyes seemed to narrow as he looked down at her listening to her closely, as this been the first time they even had a conversation for this long, and it been only a couple minutes. Plants-Now that, that would be the perfect reason to make his weekly visits more believable. “Never been much of a plant guy. One succulent I bought from the store, and week later it was dead. Positive I’m the only person in the world to kill a succulent.” The tone in his voice been one of lightheartedness. Self deprecating himself over his lack of having a green thumb, but even if it meant buying a plant that would ultimately wound up dead in a week was worth it having a few more minutes of talking with the blonde beside him. “But I’m sure you could find me something that I won’t end up killing.” The right side of his lips cracked into a half smile down at the woman.
“I’m Jeff.” Feeling the urge to push this conversation in a more personal route even if it been something as simple as her finally knowing his name. “Figured that I’ve been here enough times that might as well know who I am.” His stance moved to beside her standing left hand side, as they were heading over to the section of the green house. “How long have you been this? You know the whole plants thing.” His hand gesturing to the plants around them as his head was faced to the side still glancing at her, and his eyes flickering forward to watch his steps every few seconds. “Don’t imagine that one day you just woke up decided you were going to be working at a greenhouse.”
"Oh." Was the only thing Cam was able to mutter as she didn't know how to reply to the fact tbe mam dropped, she chuckled along, mostly confused as to why he kept buying the food but then again, it wasn't her business. Instead, the blonde offered him something else, just to talk to him a little longer and hoping she'd be brave enough to ask for his name.
It was no surprise when he mentioned not having the best hand at plants, the brief anecdote bringing another chuckle to her lips as she tried to cover her smile. "Oh, you'd be surprised the amount of people that can actually kill a succulent so don't worry about it but yeah, I can show you some thing." Camila nodded, pleased that he'd stay a while longer. Before rey started their way, the man surprised her introducing himself and Cam smiled, finally getting a piece of personal information on him. "Jeff, it's nice to meet you." She said holding her hand out to him. "I'm Cam but, you might have seen it already." She added with a chuckle as she pointed to her name tag, then they fell into a slow stroll side by side. The question made her smile, or was something that school kids that came on trips tended to ask her but she felt she could give Jeff a more honest answer. "I don't know, the whole taking care of them helped me heal and focus during a bad period in my life." She said when a small, rather sad smile. "And when I got better I just... I had this money and figured that I might as well keep up with that, help other people, too. So I got loan and I bought this place, and look after it." She said, her arms slightly up and out motioning the green house. "What do you? You work nearby? I figured that much since you came here so often." Cam pointed out.
