So, our weekly laws have been put forward: this time, all projects by municipalities must be further approved by the state. They had the right to supervise and ensure lawful operation previously, but now they want full control. This is another stop in the trend of bleeding out the few non-fidesz municipalities in Hungary.

The guy putting this forward is currently the minister of construction (no joke, he had this post made for him iirc). I think he's angling to replace Orbán when the time comes, he's making a fuss about solving shit (he doesn't solve anything). He is currently messing with all rail projects, mainly ordering the state railway company to repair the tracks (they are in shitty condition all around the country), not delegating funds to it, just giving the order. ("They should find the funds in their budget.")

His nickname is 'Laser', having been caught using a speedrap-blocker in his car a few years back.

Anyway, the punishment of Budapest goes along as planned. They can't tolerate this liberal holdout in their country, so they'll just draw even more funds away, and say that socialists can't run a city.
