do you think pedro and boyd still keep in touch i really loved them together on screen but even when they were shooting i couldnt find many interviews of them together i dont blame any of them if they dont though i understand that actors are not meant to be besties or even friends off screen they are like most of us just co workers but it just might hurt my javier steve loving heart a bit 😩

Hi, I hope you're doing well! Just wondering if you're able to do a post/poll/comparison/analysis - let's call it a scientific study - of Pedro's broad shoulder in proportion to his tiny waist? (and maybe also his cute, um, bottom?)

This ask is literally 8 months old, I’m so sorry sweet anon 😭 I kept putting it off because I felt like I couldn’t do your ask justice. I still think I can do a much better job than this, but since it’s Boxing Day, I thought I’d leave this naked man under all of your trees.

Please forgive the half-assed analysis because my mind doesn’t work in the face of such broadness 🫠 And of course, we can only use half-naked pics because we need clear references for science.

Let's talk overall broadness first. This man majorly beefed up in between Nikita (2013) and the first season of Narcos (2015). I was going to use 3:5 cropping for both gifs, but I literally couldn't fit all of Javier in that frame. That's how bloody broad this man had gotten.

Can we admire the corded muscles running down Javier's side for a second? Look at the lines. Look at them. He is significantly thicker and more sculpted compared to Liam, he definitely put his hours in the gym in those couple of years.

Skipping forward to the next time we see this man half-naked on screen in TUWOMT in 2022, he has clearly gotten even broader horizontally and also filled out in thickness. The shoulders are bigger, and look at those tiddies pecs practically leaping off the screen, and that soft belly. They knew what they were doing not giving us a full frontal shot of Javi G - he's a danger to ovaries everywhere.

Now let's move on to shoulder-to-waist ratio. Compared to Liam, Javier has a more pronounced dip in the waist thanks to the broader shoulders and the tiny little waist that stayed tiny. If you draw lines connecting shoulders to waist, Liam is more boxy and Javier is more of a trapezium.

While we don't see Javi G stand up fully, that shoulder-to-waist ratio is clearly still there, even if he is broader on both ends overall. That slutty nip in the waist is still very much present.

Ok that's all the analysis my turkey-fogged brain is capable of right now. This is such a broad topic (tehehe), consider this a prelude of sorts. I'm sure I'll be doing more of a deep dive one day, because we haven't even gotten to that little tush yet.

Cee, as you know, I had an important lecture last Friday that terrified me through the week. Well, I wanted you to know that I brought my Frankie pencil with me for support, which is not surprising, but most importantly, I brought my DIETER STICKY NOTE with me. It's been a while since l've felt the words really flow - I'm talking 2k written in a few hours, which is super fast for me! I'm writing this for purely self-indulgent reason of wanting Frankie and Shiv to meet Seams Joel, and to delve into who he was before Ellie, and before Pin.

Hopefully I can have this edited and posted by the weekend. I’ve been struggling a bit with focusing on the main Seams story, so I’m hoping this little detour kickstarts my inspiration again 🪡

So, here's the deal. I hit a really rough patch with writing these past couple of months. I've even entertained thoughts of stepping back from writing permanently.

But. I've been feeling more like my old self on the writing front this past week. I actually outlined a little Christmas special for Seams, I just haven't had the time or inspiration to actually write it out.

I also have another 4.5k words in draft for two full-length chapters that I wrote down ages ago, but haven't touched in months. Once I drop the January collection of @fuckyeahpaperco, I hope will have more time to think about continuing the series. Thank you for your patience ❤️

Anon, I hope you know that you have started a FOREST FIRE in my head with this question and I've been in a quagmire of chaotic frenzied thoughts since 🤯 AND I LOVE YOU FOR IT.

I was talking to @imaswellkid about it and I'm afraid there's no easy answer. I'm going to have to go through a whole process™ to come up with one worthy of this fundamentally important question you posed.

BUT. Since that will take time and time is scarce right now, I want to drop some initial thoughts before I work on a detailed post on @fuckyeahpedropascal. Here are some Pedro boys who I think won't get along with a one-liner explanation:

Ezra v Pero: Ezra would give Pero a reason to go back for that black powder to shut. him. up.

Javier v Dieter: drugs

Frankie v Din: the pilot is not a fan of impulsive, on the fly bounty hunting missions, and you bet they'd be fighting over the joystick (tehehhehe)

Tim v The Thief: self-explanatory

Javi G v Joel: the golden retriever grins and wags his tail so hard his whole butt waggles while the grumpy pitbull grinds his teeth

This non-exhaustive list is all I have so far, interested to see if anyone has strong opinions they'd like to share with the class!

I swear I posted a Javier fic post not too long ago, but as usual, my tags are an absolute disaster and I can't find it 😑 I don't read a lot for Javier, so these are a few off the top of my head that I have read:

@iamskyereads: Skye has two completed Javier series, Lie To Me and Insomnia. I haven't read LTM but I've read the latter and it's absolutely amazing. While you're on her masterlist, her Frankie and Ezra are also to die for!

@mvtthewmurdvck: Jo's Late Night Texts is the latest Javier fic that I got into. It's fun, it's sweet, it's laugh out loud sassy and funny. Cannot recommend more!

@psychedelic-ink, @toomanystoriessolittletime, @wildemaven: Sil, Steph and Heidi all have many Javier goodies on their masterlists!

I will admit that shaming Succession was a knee-jerk reaction because I was so hopeful that Pedro would be awarded, but thank you for calling us out! We need to remember to be kind. And Pedro wouldn’t want us shaming Succession.

Thank you for admitting to that. I get that emotions are running high and it’s easy to get caught up when you’re in an echo chamber like this fandom where everyone has been getting up on their soapbox.

As someone who’s actually watched both Succession and TLOU and being the biggest Pedro girlie, I think Succession deserves all of its wins. And even if you don’t, it doesn’t deserve the hate that some people have been gleefully sprouting.

What is the etiquette on using gifs?

I’ve seen some people use the gif button on here and it shows who made it, but some people also type the url of the gif maker in their post? Is the former considered okay, or is it considered rude without the latter?

Hi anon! So the problem with saving someone else’s gifs and uploading them, even with credit by tagging the creator, is that Tumblr then thinks that you created that gif. If someone else finds that gif you uploaded in the search and uses it in a post, Tumblr will then credit you as the creator, which is not true.

I can’t speak for everyone, but I stopped doing this when I realized that is what happens. I’ve had gif makers tell me that they’re ok with people crediting this way because it’s better than not crediting at all. I try to find gifs via the search 99% of the time.

I tried something new yesterday that I remember seeing from someone else’s post. If you right click on a gif in a post and select ‘open in a new tab’, and then drag that gif to add to your own post, it creates a link to the original gif. That way, you get to use the exact gif you want without uploading it, it links back to the creator and you can still credit them. See example here.

Also, you can always reach out to the gif maker and ask! As long as you’re respectful of the time and effort gif makers put in that’s what matters ❤️ This is my two cents and I’m sure others will have different opinions.
