Speaking a foreign language . Using a foreign language is difficult. It can be embarrassing. Intimidating. Scary. For children particularly there is always the fear that they will ‘look silly’ in front of their peers. But, get them (and adults) involved in some fun art or craft and they lose their inhibitions. Today we have started to make snakes 🐍 from papier-mâché . It was fun. Just look at the vocabulary we used: paper. Paste. Flour. Water. Stir. Lumpy Creamy. Pour. Wrap it Round and round. Tie with string. Pass me. Can I have. Thank you. Please. Leave it to dry. Soft. Messy. Sticky.
