about your struggles with your undergrad. i was in the same boat not a few months ago. it got so bad i went to the ER for stress-related internal injuries, i was suicidal, i was convinced i couldnt succeed in my major (or life) no matter what, i felt hopeless... please consider: before you drop out, you have to be honest with yourself and your limits. i switched from compsci to my true passion and its very freeing. your advisor is there to help you. im sure they can help you like they helped me. also look for support from family/friends at this time. (i know its tough. again i was convinced id be better off dead so it was hard to ask for help BUT IM SO GLAD I DID.) instead of quitting, try changing your goals. btw, its never too late to change ur major. i changed 3 years in. better to swap now than live a lifetime, as you said, of stress and difficulty. future you will be so grateful. and past you will be soooo jealous. don't give up!! you've made it this far, you've got the skills! if you don't have the passion or patience to withstand a certain subject, then change it!! its so much easier than you think!! sorry for word wall. i believe in you. it gets better. good luck. and etc :)

Btw, did I ever talk about the time I stumbled into a crypto bull excrement event that my uni was promoting as "tech investing basics".

It was a mess that involved me learning way too much about the Solana blockchain against my will, which those ugly monkey pics run on.

Cool marketing class tho, ngl, as the reps of that startup did talk about dealing with "overselling" the monkey launch. In short, the crypto bros they were working with generated too many pics for the blockchain mumbojumbo to verify or whatever. Compsci kids next to me seemed enthralled. Anyways, they invented a whole lore explanation for why they were revoking them and it was a mess.

Like, the psychology of people who think ugly monkey pics are a good investment is so fascinating to me. Although I suppose trying to learn the exclusivity marketing tactics of this token bull is more than a smidge unethical lol.

Also, one of their presenters stole my open soda. It was an open bar so I was able to grab another but like bruh... the entitlement. Also, he acted all butthurt when I pointed out that the "mix fine art with crypto" thing that he was trying to pitch as the future (tm) exists and is a core to a site that runs using a competing blockchain. And he googled it on stage and I don't think he knew of it even tho I unfollowed a bunch of twitter famous artists I previously liked over selling on there.

Tldr: crypto is dumb but our compsci majors are drinking the koolaid while finance kids watch in exasperation.
