honestly i think the perfect way to illustrate williamson's pacing issues is this

like its just. man. you cant try to convince me there are stakes to this josh if you're just gonna have the entire conflict be resolved with lian pretty much going "but fuck that" and ollie going "despite being alone with this knowledge for months to think about it, i never thought of it that way, ur so right!" like WHAT. man.

GA 6 SPOILERS

i don’t even know. the pacing issue struck so bad here what the fuck, williamson talked up giving ollie a big arch nemesis just for it to be a merlyn (how do you do something winick did and somehow do it WORSE) and once again more waller. ok.

josh tries to subvert the trope of the loop with that wake up panel, but the subversion is (imo) shit. dinah conveniently being there for a slo mo beach babe moment… josh u have managed to make ME pissed off about dinahollie do you know how hard that is

you had a good concept with past ollies in the quiver era just for it to last what, half an issue? i can enjoy the through line of connor always finding ollie, but man. was there even a fight between ollie and merlyn 😭 this entire book has been “ollie you’re the problem” random family member: ollie stop being the problem “oh okay nvm i will stop 👍”

idk it’s not even that bad it’s just kinda nothing. the big climax is the dinahollie reunion and then more waller and it feels. incomplete. obviously i know the waller story is continuing in the next issues and in other books but man, what a fucking cop out of a green arrow “arc”

as an aside complaint once again, they specifically mention merlyn having meant to have died in the checkmate bull, which is fine for the like 10 people who read leviathan for whatever reason. but there once again is no editorial telling the readers where to go to understand that story! and that shit happened like within the last few years! its not old or inaccessible online or shit.

additionally connor using the 3-under draw as opposed to the more widely used mediterranean draw that roy and ollie use! ROYS BOW EVEN HAS A STABILISER

ollie and roy using the average type of takedown recurve training bows. i used those kinds when i learnt!! dude thats so cool. AND their arrows are bullet point because they're target shooting, unlike the broadheads they use in the field!!

the e on this sign being out. idk its just a cute detail makes the world feel lived in
