For me, as a fan of the first seasons of The Flash, this date is something special.
It is now that I realize that the future has truly arrived. I remember the day I watched the pilot of the series and saw this date. Then I thought, damn, I have to wait another ten years, wow, that’s a long time...
And now we are here.
April 25, 2024.
The day the Flash disappeared in a flash of light while fighting Reverse Flash. Who would have thought, right?
We survived. Wow.
Thursday is Flash day. Thursday is review day for the first season.
Thursday is April 25, 2024.
Thursday is the day Flash missing vanishes in crisis.
sorry rewatching arrow (still) and a random fic idea/scene popped into my head:
—-
“Keep him back,” Bruce said, gesturing at Ollie. “We need twenty seconds for the comms to link up.”
He briefly looked up from the comm at the sound of Oliver’s bow twanging. The goon slammed back against the wall with a bit-off scream, one shoulder pinned to the brick through and through by a razor-sharp arrow.
“What?” Ollie asked when he spotted Bruce looking. “You said to keep him back.”
Blood gushed down the goon’s shirt, though not fast enough to be concerning. It looked extraordinarily painful, and Bruce — several years into recovery from a knife wound to his left rotator cuff — had a feeling it was.
Roy and Babs' dynamic has the potential to be so funny. "I'm having a homoerotic relationship with your stepmother while you are having a homoerotic relationship with my boyfriend". Unhinged.
Steph: I think it’s more of a situationship? They still seem to have some feelings going on there.
Jason: Yeah right, and get accused of cheating on Selina? I think not. They’ve been dating for as long as I can remember.
Dick: That’s…strange, cause I’m pretty sure he and Clark are married. Big Blue gave him a ring and everything.
Damian: A Kryptonite ring. One that Father keeps in a lead lined safe with the rest of the alien’s bane. Besides, everyone knows Mother’s laid her claim to him already. Only a fool would interfere with such a union.
Cass: Talia and Bruce are about as divorced as two people can be.
Tim: No, you guys are all missing the point. If we want Bruce to have a partner, we need to pick the most profitable option for us. [ pulling up a PowerPoint ] Hear. Me. Out.
—-Later, At the Watchtower-—
Oliver: Bats, why are your kids inviting me over for dinner?
I think Roy Harper is the personification of all those “my unemployed friend on a Tuesday” memes. Even if he was employed. Like you’d walk into his home and it’s just full of Contraptions. He just does Things and the purpose is unintelligible
Jason is like this too but in a less noticeable way. Roy is like “I welded a toaster oven to my assault rifle to see if it would do anything when I zapped it with a taser” and Jason is like “I read four textbooks and wrote an academic paper about the Mesopotamian grain economy”
“what did you guys do today”
“we liberated a country and then I built a motorized couch that’s technically street legal and then Jason blew up the road couch”
Headcanon that the real reason all the other Justice Leaguer's avoid Gotham is because there is a running joke with the Gotham press that every hero in Gotham is either Batman, or a Robin.
Superman stops an attack drone from burning down a city block?
NOPE! News headlines read "Is Robin's new ability to fly proof he's really a vampire??"
Black Canary busts a smuggling ring?
"Batman's second female Robin. Will she last longer than the first?
Green Arrow catches a bank robber?
"Green Robin's facial hair and exactly what citizens think about it, page 3."
Idk how many Green Arrow comics you've read but it is canon that, at least when he's going through a Time like when he came back from the dead, Ollie can just be like. Disturbingly brutal. One of my fave scenes in the comics is where Roy and Ollie both shoot arrows at Catman at the same time, Roy's arrow pins him to the wall and Ollie's arrow shoots straight through his shoulder, and they say "you missed" to each other simultaneously. And after learning Ollie actually meant to hurt Catman Roy just gets really uncomfortable and quiet. It's from somewhere in the Archers' Quest storyline in Green Arrow (2001), I can't remember the specific issue
Oh dang. That gave me chills. Yeah, I haven’t read a ton of stuff with Ollie but it’s very interesting how he kind of oscillates between a charming and sometimes mischievous man and being, like you said, shockingly brutal.
