It’s not something I thought I d ever say ... ! but damn I m excited about a big old pile of compost that’s going to be delivered to my house .. . . A big bag Of dirt is going to be plonked on my drive ! 🙌🙌. . I can hardly wait!! . . That dirt will turn into our food .. potatoes .. carrots .. parsnips .. courgette.. aubergines ( I hope ) tomatoes .. sweetcorn .. peas ( not purple pods - they were nt that great .. so a few just for the prettiness of them ) beans .. all of the beans .. broad beans . And the list goes on and on and on !! . Herbs ... flowers .,a little veggie garden ( or mud pile lol ) for the kids! . . Grow the food you actually like .. no use growing carrots if you hate them.. or if you only like peas .. grow peas!! But you ll find the food you grow yourself .. are the best tasting !! . . . Watch out for big pile of dirt spam coming !! 🤣🤣.. If you are a beginner .. it’s sometimes difficult to know what to buy ( and to stop yourself buying everything 🤣) . . So here is a little guide to help you with what to buy . . But if you don’t have trees or hedges I d leave the lopper. . I d also buy a garden fork - I have used mine A LOT !! . Gardening gloves are a must !! . Don’t get the gloves with the plastic ends on like talons .. total pain and waste of time !! . . Start with some cheapy tools see if you like the gardening first before you invest. .
