FRIDAY FAM DROP - GER DUANY WALK TOWARDS THE RISING SUN . One of my favorite people on this planet is my brother Ger Duany. I can honestly say I’ve never been so simultaneously (and constantly) intrigued, inspired, amused, enlightened and enriched by a person. The story of a child-of-war is traumatic beyond what most of us can imagine. The task of revisiting and analyzing these memories is something that many don’t have the bravery to delve into. . I have been on the outskirts of Ger’s life for about a decade now and I know he has been wrestling with how to tell his life story since around 2003. Our initial interactions were based on artwork during his years as a top NYC model and gradually deepened as time went on. In the past three years Ger quietly opened the doors of his “memoir journey” to me and invited me in and take a look at what he was creating (I will be forever grateful for this privilege.)
