August Embers was born from a brainstorming session after the ten week course Start Run Grow Your Business from the Mission Community Services Corporation. Why August Embers? The month of August to me is the perfect time of the year. The warmth of summer is still present but the magic of fall begins to slowly creep in. The days are still long, making for magical nights, but we become aware of how quickly the rest of the year well fly by. This leaves us with a bitter sweet taste. Despite geek culture becoming more and more mainstream in the last few years, there’s never enough spaces for geeks to feel like they can be unconditionally themselves. Amanda has created a magical and whimsical safe space for geeky brides to feel understood and accepted. She has done this while also creating an environment that isn’t overwhelmingly geeky.

It’s a place that traditional non-geek brides may enter and still find lovely. It’s also a place where family members (cough cough mother-of-the-bride) won’t feel overwhelmed by the geek culture. The nods to fandoms are subtle but obvious enough that a geeky bride will feel at home.

Lord of The Rings Inspired Dressing Area

Walking into Lorien Bridal is like walking around an enchanted forest. Each area is inspired by a different mythical forest. There are plenty of nods to Lord of the Rings. As you walk into the shop a floor mat that reads “Speak Friend and Enter” greets you. The cardholder at the register is Tree Beard and even the name of the boutique is inspired by Lord of The Rings culture.

We have provided wedding photography, videography and bridal hair & makeup service to this very friendly sweet American bride and British groom on a sunshine day in Finchley, London.

The couple's wedding ceremony and banquet were held in Stephens House & Gardens, Finchley. It was our second time here to take wedding photo and video film. This wedding venue is quite relax with an open garden for public but also a nice good spot to take our couple and group shoots around the small pond and big garden.

Our this bride and groom are geeky, fun-loving couple. The bride has a kind heart. She is a vet. The groom is video game designer. Although the groom seemed quieter, they are just as fun as each other. They have also invited their some geeky friends as their guests as well.

We wish them a happy married life ever after. Hope that we can meet them up to take their lovely pregnancy and newborn baby photos in the near future.
