Hope you’re all doing well and welcome back to another post.

Today I’ll be sharing with you my thoughts on the Illamasque precision gel liner.

I picked up this product a few weeks ago in TKMax when I went with my partner Richard to view some flats. It was in their yellow ticket clearance and so for £1.70 I thought I couldn’t leave it behind, especially when I hear so many good things about Illamasque. Once I got home, I did a little research only to discover this product retails on their website for £21. Getting this product put me outside my comfort zone as this was the first time I’d used a pot liner and to the outcome I was pleasantly surprised. 

Let’s start with packaging….

I love the glass jar with the plain black lid and the simple name look. This makes it seem expensive, especially for the fact it is.  

The product is very creamy and is a very intense black. I was skeptical as liners I own never show up as intense when applied but fortunately it was. 

Applying the product was pretty easy, it was the same as when I use a pen. The only issue I stumbled across was having a proper brush, I did use an eyeliner one but recently I threw the rest away as I never anticipated on having a potted one. I would have preferred have a slimmer tip to have a nice thin wing.

I found this is a better product for going over shimmers as pens tend to stop working as they get covered in glitter but this issue didn’t occur using the brush as you can just re-dip.

You don’t get much product but a little goes a long way. Personally I wouldn’t pay the full price but that’s only because I don’t have money like that going spare, however I totally recommend if you’re use to products like this. I think I just need more practice to tell if I prefer it over an eyeliner pen.

I have this gel liner pencil for over a month now. It's very creamy and doesn’t budge when it sets, but my god the lead itself. It keeps break due to the soft tip and the sheer size is too big. I get why it’s HG for some people, but I could not work with it.

I don’t think I’ve posted these before, but forgive me if these are a repeat.

I also beg forgiveness for the messy blue swatch. It bugs me, but I wasn’t about to redo them all because of one bugger.

Creamy and pigmented, yes. Great for the waterline? I personally haven’t had great success with that, but I have heard that they are. I also need to make myself use eyeliner more often. Usually I’m too lazy to expend the effort.
