Sometime I wish Bee was always like TFP Bee with the mouth guard cause holy hell I cannot draw his face for the life of me
I hate this piece btw but there’s no way to learn how to draw bots without sucking at it first
All part of the process

Ha! surprised I never caught that , I thought I was hot shit cause I recognized the “Mr. Fusion” prop from BTTF in the background of the original Alien (1979) ( really a Krups Coffee grinder used in several movies ) Poor Shockwave , can’t catch a break :D

Posting the last song "Escape" actually reminded me of one of my favorite BG scores of all time. If you love electronic/synthwave/darkwave you need to hear this! I could write by this, sleep by this, you name it. Beautiful ass fucking song that sets a mood like an SOB and leaves you wanting more

Rockett Review Transformers the Movie (1986)
Fight scenes , explosions and stupid kids, let's talk The Transformer's Movie!
Okay so do you guys remember the Star Wars Clone Wars animated shorts that were on Cartoon Network and they were basically 7 minute awesome fight scenes that could be put together to form one movie? That’s what the first Transformers Movie is at the end of the day but is also HEAVILY seeped in the 80s.
First let’s talk about the animation because holy crap has there been an upgrade. Metal Shines, busted bots show heavy scrapes, dents, and various other types of damage, it's just a visually stunning looking film and while they can't possibly compare in terms of quality seasons 3 and 4 of the cartoon after this follow suit in terms of art style.
The main thing people talk about when this movie is brought up is just how many characters die in the film under Hasbro's orders to have them removed (honestly the actual body count isn't as high as all that WAY more characters die in the comic) and while that is true it's still regarded as a great film and for good reason. It's mostly an action film with any lulls in between just being reasons to get back into more action and yet it never feels forced because this is a series that's about war so there is a lot of fighting that just naturally occurs from hostiles and enemies bumping into each other. At the same time this comes at the cost of not a lot being explained. We don't really know WHAT Unicron, the big bad of the movie is or why he's doing what he's doing IN the context of the movie and the only reason I know at all is because of the “Lore in a minute” youtube channel just so happened to do an episode on Transformers before I watched the movie.
However what the movie DOES focus on is really good, establishing Autobots both new and old in a time jump in between seasons 2 and now, it being several years in the future the Autobots now have an entire city on Earth as well as bases on the Cybertron moons. Spike is now a full grown adult (yaaay no more stupid teen characters!) with a child of his own (booo more child characters). In all seriousness as far as Dylan is concerned he's not that bad a child character. They put him in a transforming exo-suit and gets to make himself useful instead of getting in the way like other child characters.
Many characters aren't formally introduced either. RC is just a girl Aubotbot that's... around for some reason and Soundwave is summoning Ratbat and Frenzy in addition to Rumble, Laserbeak and Ravage. I don't think Optimus Prime's replacement was ever really seen before this movie either but there he is. A lot of times I was left wondering if I had missed something or if this was all just going to be covered in season 3 at some point, despite taking place after the movie is over.
But really if we're going to talk about one thing in this movie it can't be the characters. It can't be the action or animation or the deaths or anything like that. Oh no. It has to be the soundtrack. This film is pretty much a glorified 80s music video at times with all of the licensed music they use for the fight scenes. “You Got The Touch” plays twice throughout the film and “Weird Al's Dare To Be Stupid” gets played in a way that actually makes sense and is kinda badass. It's definitely of it's time but that doesn't mean it's aged poorly, far from it. Character dialog is a lot less cheesy this time around (Spike says shit. It’s cool), less focused on catch phrases and 80s slang and more focused on moving things along and keeping the character motivations focused. Except for Blur. I hate Blur. Blur got annoying real fast and I anticipate hating him more and more as we go into the third season.
If you enjoy transformers and know any of the classic characters but haven't seen this movie yet then I highly recommend you do it's incredibly enjoyable as a fan to see these guys shiny and new and beating the crap out of each other.
