i love how things that make characters seem badass and capable and trustworthy in earlier episodes of umineko eventually get twisted to be something that's terrifying or violent.

for example, kyrie and rudolf's skill with guns in Ep 3 becoming the Ep 7 Tea Party, or george's sensitivity to social situations and dynamics leading him to uphold the status quo, or lambdadelta's early lighthearted cynicism peeling back to reveal her true nature and weaponized cynicism.

even things like jessica's brass knuckles could be used by witch hunters after the fact to theorize that she's the culprit because of her documented violent tendencies. the good things can be twisted and the bad things can appear innocent.
