For the WillLionWeek 2023, Day 4, 09/12, "1/2,578,917 - Miracle".

I had the intention to draw all the prompts and actually managed to do the drafts for them, but since like Willard I have a lot of work and couldn't bring myself to finish them on time - not even this one sobs -, I chose that if I was to do at least one at full, it would be this one, which has a lot of meaning.

I still remember I got into umineko universe because I found out about Will and Lion, and wanted to know about them. At the end, i ended falling in love with all of this novel long time ago and I'm still, even now.

So as much as I enjoyed doing this, I hope you enjoy it too!!

They'd been granted temporary access to Featherine's library, but now stood barred by two witches mocking them for the simple reason that they could because they were witches and Lion and Will were not. In the blink of an eye, Will had gone to say something rude, but before he could, Lion swoops in and pinches him.

Negotiation is something Lion excels in. And it might help to have these two witches on their side later for whatever reason. They turn slightly, indicating that Will should follow suit, leaning up to murmur half into his ear, "If you open your mouth, then I can't be responsible," winking lightly to show they don't mean to actually reprimand him, before turning back to the two...lovely ladies.

"Sorry for my partner. He's been fighting a dust allergy since we came here and I didn't want him to sneeze in your face. Say, we're just trying to find the manuscript to And Then There Were None. Surely such a story is not worth the attention of two powerful witches. Our friend the Lady Beatrice would be depressed if she heard that the two of you had wasted your time on that manuscript."

Of course, playing to their egos works. The witches titter and giggle to one another about the pair being beneath them and not worth their attention / boring, even -- and then they leave, swallowed up by Featherine's vast library.

"See? Sometimes it's better to be nice, Will. 'Keep your enemies closer' -- oh, but they don't have that one in the Decalogue, do they?"
