And there you have it: my first watercolour piece on this blessed day of Caturday. What do you think? I started it last night while listening to and watching the always lovely and entertaining @alisavysochina draw & colour her many witches. I learned a lot from her great live stream earlier in the afternoon so I decided to put it into practice. And practice I did. She makes it look so easy! I spent hours layering and blending and adding. Biggest things I learned that watercolour can be quite forgiving! I love erasing my messy patches with water, blending mistakes and I do enjoy adding texture with a simple napkin. My biggest problem so far I think is mixing the right colours. My values are all over the place but all in all I'm quite pleased. I need a proper palette thingie, currently using the plastic protective sheet my water colours came in. Next one I'll try and do quicker, following Alisa's example with a base coat and some darker tones. I want to achieve a cleaner and lighter look with less coats.
