i am not otherwise a “fixate on men who are otherwise intended to be side characters in a series of books that has many interesting and compelling women to choose from” type of guy (just ask @g1deonthefirst lmao) but i’ll never not be compelled by g1deon and I think a lot of my being compelled by him initially began as an irritated response to how the fandom (majority white space) ignores and others him as a character — i think he and judith really do get the worst of it sometimes and i don’t think people even necessarily realize they’re doing it which is 🤐

once the locked tomb series is finished, a collective of fans w way too much time on their hands should get together and publish the Medieval Bible Edition, a handwritten omnibus with the actual text in the inner portions of the pages, and then a big wide margin for the gloss: a running commentary on the text that explains how to interpret it, including notes on every single literary and internet meme reference
