She gives the wall a final shove with her shoulder, just to let it know who’s boss. 

“Oh wow. Fancy seeing you here.” The Bellhop’s voice grates on the Manager’s nerves. And the Bellhop gives a dramatic little gasp, “Are we about to kiss right now?”

“You are not serious.”

“No. Gross. I don’t even like tall blondes with anger management issues.”

The Manager should be insulted. She settles for tackling the Bellhop in the dark.

“Woah, buy a girl dinner first.”

The Manager finds the Bellhop’s strangely elongated neck and gets both hands around it. As she squeezes, the Bellhop’s gloved hands go for the Manager’s remaining eye. The Manager responds in kind by biting down until she tastes blood and has silk fibers in her teeth. 

The Supply Closet door opens and a hand grabs the Manager by the back of her collared blouse, hauling her up and off the Bellhop.

“Aud! She fucking bit me!”

“And you tried to gouge her eyes out,” the Auditor buzzes somewhere over the Manager’s shoulder. “We have a job to do, girls.”

The Manager attempts to elbow the Auditor but ends up jabbing at empty air. 

“Desk. Now.” There’s an edge to the Auditor’s voice as she lets the Manager go. “Hop. In place.”

The Bellhop makes a whine but the Manager takes her place. When the Auditor doesn’t give them any more commands, the two stare at each other. 

The Bellhop winks.

The Manager has a feeling it’s going to be a long night.

no that wasn't her. There are lots of timelines out there, and if people want to add them in replies or whatever here for this anon I invite them to, I'm sorry, I don't have any for you offhand. Given how many things we just don't know any timeline that claims to know everything is just that person's opinion- but if you want to go through what happened when, hopefully someone will suggest something useful. I will say that while people over the years have commented on the fact that Louis looks less uncomfortable in pictures with Danielle than with many of his other girldates and they seemed to get along well, the circumstances most of those "acting casual and natural" pictures were taken under were so absurdly, ridiculously contrived that I feel like that should be factored into how seriously to take them
