I've worked out how to put trees in your walls in Dwarf Fortress and this has driven me to create even more cursed constructions than before.

New Artifact in Glazednourishs

It's got a good name

The fortress's hunter Rakust Trussmined has given birth to a child once every year for the last three years. Her progeny now make up 50% of Glazednourish's infant population.

Oh yeah, the siege has ended now. It has been named "The Outrageous Attack"

And with that our new guildhall is complete and it's got a tree in it!

I saw my resident poet was praying to Citu the Bloody, so I did some digging

The swimming pool is finally finished.

So I set up pumps to remove water on the left. of course. The water will jump flow back in if not held back so the pool's a bit smaller. When something steps on the plate the hatch to the river in the bottom opens and...

The trainie swimmer is drenched in fresh river water up to their neck. This continues until someone steps off the pressure plate. No one has drowned yet and their swimming skills are improving!

Glazednourishes, 4th of Granite Year 14

This is an affront to common sense; Observe the giant ball made of logs. Even so, this has solved the accommodation issues so all the dwarves (and humans) have their own rooms.

I had to go into stonesense's init file and change the fog alpha so the ground was visible in this picture.

I am building the fortress entirely on the surface. And spitting in the face of cave-ins by making accommodations on bridges in the air.

This cannot possibly go wrong.

Our river is polluted with the bodies of goblins and our fallen comrades. It's a good thing that dumping bodies there doesn't spread disease otherwise things could be pretty bad.
