I was hoping the news wouldn't happen but I found out that Global MapleStory WILL be getting the Angelic Buster Remaster and by the looks of the banner even the design too...

As a AB roleplayer who grew up with the OG design and has noticed the differences it feels like a slap in the face to me and I've heard I'm not the only one who likes her original design over the new design. This will also include story changes, which means she might be canon divergent not that she wasn't to begin with.

On the bright: I have at least a few months till that remaster's coming and if things in GMS are going like how KMS are I will at least keep the original look from my existing ABs on my account so if I have any other ABs I want to create on different accounts I will have to do it within the 2 month period, which I had been considering on doing it at some point but didn't know when it was the proper time. By the looks of it we have 2 updates until the remaster comes into play.

Still, I hoped that the news didn't happen or will be later, but I guess there will be no delays.

Ishura, Eupheria, Landevian, and Holstatt with their other appearances

Major NPCs that appeared in the Runeblade’s storyline (introduction and the Awakening Job advancement), though they can only be seen in the Epic Questline

Lapentouched Ishura, Eupheria, and Landevian are major bosses in the Eye of Lapenta Dungeons and can be fought in Terminus of Time, Emerald Prison, and Azure Flex respectively. All of them can be fought in the Blackshard Nexus dungeon.

Though not released in GMS2, Holstatt can be fought as an opponent in Queen Bean Arena.

Ishura and Lapentouched Ishura have their own body pillow mounts, though only Lapentouched Ishura was made available as a participating contest prize for the Global MapleStory 2 Sunset Discord Banner contest.

Ishura has two unreleased character illustrations (uploaded in a separate post via queue)

Many of the NPC Illustrations have already been uploaded, though a majority of them are not standalone images with a transparent background and most of the time they are as screenshots

I did the best as I can to group the NPCs together (I won’t be uploading repeats of NPCs in the files unless there’s a significant change in their artwork) theme wise, alongside with naming them when possible (feel free to make any corrections). Some NPCs have reused talk sprites (notably generic ones).

700x700 px resolution for most of the images, I don’t think any of them are smaller than that.

I’m so bummed. :<

I actually wanted to play MapleStory so I clicked to open it and it said there was a missing file so it wouldn’t open and I was like okay why but whatever. But when I clicked the Okay button, the desktop shortcut disappeared!

So I figured I’d just redownload it and that would put the missing file in place and fix the problem and also patch the game.

So I navigate to the site and download the downloader, then use the downloader to download the files and click install.

But it still says that file is missing. :|

So I try like 4 more times (and it’s now occurring to me that I could try the manual 17-part download version) and it keeps failing.

I removed every trace of Maplestory I can find, but neither the Global version or the Japanese version are in my programs list so I can’t uninstall?

Like days ago Global changed to use a damn game launcher (I am so tired of needing to go through so many hoops to open a game. I have Steam, Origin, Battlenet and now Nexon Launcher??? And I have like one game each??? My computer doesn’t have the resources to have these resource-heavy launchers running in the background of my resource heavy games!? Anyways...) and I realize oh yeah, I can’t play this one cuz it’s Global server and I live in Japan. Okay, that’s fair I guess.

Then I notice the minimum requirements for the Japan version...It says Windows 8.1 and up. Umm, excuse me, I played this game like 2 months ago on my Windows 7 laptop! What did you guys do!?

So I figure the Japan server must have also gotten this Maplestory Awake update or whatever. But when I check the minimum requirements for Global Maplestory, it still lists Windows 7!

So now I’m wondering if the Japan version always was Windows 8.1 and up and I just brute-forced my way in or if there was some update that now goes beyond my pcs capability and, no offense Japan I love you but...It hasn’t changed nearly as much as Global has. I mean just look at Global vs Japan’s websites!

It’s cute don’t get me wrong but one of these says you need Windows 8.1 to run it and I would think it was the first one but no. :<

So I’m sadly not playing Maple right now because I have 15 more files to download in hopes of getting the Japanese one working again. :<
