Is the Teaching at Hogwarts Culturally-Responsive? Decide Who Wins the Ladson-Billings Cup!

What would happen if education icon Gloria Ladson-Billings went to Hogwarts and evaluated the professors in terms of culturally-responsive pedagogy? That's the question I posed to my undergraduate education students recently.  Using this rough assignment, we read and critiqued some of Ladson-Billings' key concepts, watched clips of teachers teaching in Harry Potter movies, and then students broke up into houses to create visual critiques of the teachers' pedagogy.  Which house do you think won the Ladson-Billings Cup?
