#gluttony will DEFINITELY need a redesign

Some concepts for the missing bad-ending sins? I will probably do some tweaks here and there, BUT the ideas are now on paper :) yay!

Some notes under the cut:

Greed and Envy are full time repossession men. Sometimes they do some work here and there around the Casino (like bouncing, or working certain tables), but their main job is to go around and rough up toons whose souls are overdue.

Gluttony probably works with the Tipsy Troop around the kitchen/bar. Gluttony is all about indulgence, and you better believe that the food in Inkwell Hell is going to be SO GOOD.

Sloth sorta just lazes around all over the casino. She looks cute, what more do you want from her?? Patrons buy them drinks, spend more money, and Sloth is too relaxed to really care either way. 😌

Wrath works behind the scenes, in research and development regarding souls. However, most of their "work" is just a lot of torture and pent up rage under the guise of science. Oops.

Lust is a lot like Sloth. Customers buy her drinks and spend more for her, but she's a lot more animated about it! But, she can come off as too much, and very overwhelming, especially when compared to Sloth.

Pride is in training directly under King Dice to be a manager. Very clean and put-together, the neatest sin. Will turn their nose up to regular patrons attempting to speak with them, and will be short with other employees.

i keep seeing ppl complain about gluttonys design and while i dont disagree that it could be more bee, and id certainly enjoy more bee, its clearly sposed to IMPLY bee rather than BE bee. especially considering shes not. a bee. shes a wolf.

the lashes and ears imply antanae and the multiple arms and the wings are outright bee, with fur markings implying stripes and chitin that would otherwise be not only obscured by her outfit but make the design cluttered.

and like i personally would lean more into bee, but theres always the possibility they plan to use her later and outright bee wouldnt fit their purposes.

spindle horse studios character designs (bcuz this wasnt JUST vivzies design) have all/mostly been fairly detailed and vivid and some of the redesigns ive seen proposed kinda. dont follow that convention? you need to design a character with other characters in mind. you dont wanta character to stick out. so eventually if we see enough sins youd want to put them next to each other and go "yeah that makes sense", not see them and go "whys this one so DIFFERENT" whether that be too detailed, too simple, too vivid, too desaturated. its a fun balance of "look unique but not odd".

you may also consider the voice they decided for her, if i had decided beforehand "i want kesha to voice a character" i would design the character around the personality and what kesha would bring to the table. snooty slightly volitile party girl doesnt totally fit LITERAL queen bee. in fact if you show me a massive ACTUAL queen bee who would likely stay in one space like they do irl thats pretty contradictory to her personality. you can absolutely come at this disagreeing with having kesha as a VA obviously but if you want to use the character in a completely different way with a completely different VA then that's a different issue from just this design. thats a writing criticism.

ADDITIONALLY if you "fix" her and you show me a fat gluttony im actually murdering you. gluttony being fat is played out and fatphobic and i know some of yall would then be screeching about fatphobia if she went that route. idk there's definitely reasons to criticize this show and studio and creator specifically but i just dont really get this one? unless ur dissecting how the character gets used as well, the design just comes down to personal preference and the energy would be better used on actual problems in the show.
