I have a headcanon that infected people from GnB during the disease process - are wary of and avoid mirrors. Because of hallucinations, they catch a hard trigger from their appearance in the reflection.

(Well, also, because some at that time could believe in the theory of a “portal to the other world” through a mirror, from which all kinds of evil spirits come out, and therefore they were afraid, curtaining them in most cases).
