To celebrate it being the last show of FITFWT, what have your favourite moments been of the tour? 💕💕

the BEST one in my opinion is the collective meltdown we all had when louis wore a tank top for the first time in cuyahoga falls. but i also really enjoyed going to three of his shows!! i put them under the cut bc im being nice and not flooding the dash from everyone else’s posts

so i had planned my vacation last year so my official first day was the cincinnati date (a christmas present from regretfully my dad). it happened that i think the next two shows he did (i might be wrong) were within 2 hours of me, columbus and indianapolis, during my vacation. indy is where my ex lives so we decided to go together and i went to cbus and cincinnati by myself.

these are from my cincinnati date! i had a joke beef with louis because the past 3 times i saw him, he wore a white polo. v glad to not have that beef w/ louis anymore

my favorite story from this show is that there was a mom and her 2 y/o daughter at the show near me. it was the daughter’s first show and she was really excited for it. everyone around us kept giving her little gifts and bracelets and just 😭 really sweet to see!! at the end of the show, the girl starts crying because louis left (same girl) and she asked her mom where he went and she kept telling her it was his bedtime and he needs to sleep

these are from cbus! the venue was weird and there was a minor league baseball stadium next to the venue that had a game at the same time as doors opening. so all of us are in line waiting and these baseball fans are going inside and wondering why there’s this long ass line next to the venue. it was also hell in line because of the game and doors opening. BUT i did see tank louis in the flesh so 🫶🏻🫶🏻 worth it

and these are from indy!!! this was the show i went with to my ex. he had previously seen 1d on otra so he didn’t know what to really expect (he also is into kpop and those concerts are notably different than other genres). after a few songs, he leaned over to me and told me louis walks around like he has the biggest dick in the room and it’s hot to see (same). the only story i can remember from this show from the audience is someone threw up in pit. venue had like alcoholic slushies??? and someone threw that up. also i’m on the official LTHQ ig for that photo dump. i only know this bc i wore my fucking shrek bucket hat to this show and there’s a shot you can see my stupid hat in.

i will also miss shirt bets and @allwaswell16 forgetting to do shirt bets. and the meltdown we all continued to have with every outfit. i love my favorite little white man 🫶🏻🫶🏻

I have decided to do a re-read of the whole Tanthamore CBU, starting with 650 ft and then going through on the order Kris posted. When fic authors post things the first time we all get to talk about it as a community, and I was wondering if anyone wanted to join me in the same way, but for a re-read. Essentially, a book club!!!

In order to make sure Kris doesn’t get overwhelmed with asks, but that she can still see our conversations, I was thinking we could post our “book club thoughts” in the notes of this post. I don’t actually know if this is how Tumblr is supposed to be used, but that’s my current idea. 🤷‍♀️ (Kris, if you have a better idea, would let us know?)

A man walked up to me today with his peen hanging out.

I'm a mail carrier on a highway contracted route in Alaska. I do work for the USPS, but I'm not employed with them. These are routes that are too spread out and too rural even for the USPS employed rural carriers, so they contract these routes out to independent carriers like us.

So, that's what I was doing today when I got an eye full of a 50 yr old penis. This is how it happened.

I pull up to a stop, and since this particular stop was what I consider to be the halfway point of my route, I decided to check my email. I was waiting for something important and I didn't want to miss it. I wasn't even there a minute when I looked up to see a big white truck pull up in front of my little Forester.

I decided, ok, I'll wait a little more and proceed to mess around on my phone while this dude gets out of his truck and goes to check his mail.

He gets back into his truck, and I wait another minute, but he doesn't leave. OK, I think to myself, maybe he decided to read his mail before he drives off. So, I get out, grab the next bundle of mail, and pull the arrow key out of my pocket to open the first CBU (Cluster Box Unit), and I start delivering the mail all the while I'm acutely aware of everything around me. I'm delivering mail on the side of a highway with only my car to shield me from the traffic going by 20 mph over the posted speed limit. By now I can tell by the sounds of the tires on each car if they are just driving past me or if they are going to stop behind my car and ask me some inane question like "Do you have anything for me?" You're a complete stranger to me. Am I supposed to know who you are? But on this particular day, the traffic on that road was nearly non-existent

Since he hasn't left yet, I decided to deliver the mail to each CBU before I even start on the packages. I don't care that he's sitting there as long as he stays in his truck. I get halfway done with the third unit when I hear his truck door open again. I can hear the snow crunch under his feet as he approaches me. So, I close up the CBU all the while mentally preparing myself for yet another stupid question. He doesn't disappoint, either. Upon seeing that I closed up the CBU, he asks, "I guess I have to go get my key then?" I turn to answer him and tell him that yes, he needs his key to get his mail when I see something that I never once saw in all my seven years of working retail.

Don't get me wrong, though, I've seen a lot of shit working retail. Some of it even included actual shit. But seeing a grown ass man piss himself in the produce section while snacking on grapes still could not mentally prepare me for what I saw today.

This man stood there and asked me if I finished delivering the mail for box #5 all the while free ballin with his little Vienna sausage poking out of his fully unzipped and unbuttoned pants. It was roughly 20 degrees outside today. How could he not feel his Vienna sausage shrivel up like a piece of Jerky?

I quickly told him no and finished locking up the CBU. Then, as he was walking back to his truck to get his key, I walked back to my own vehicle and fully noped the fuck outta there. It didn't matter that I hadn't finished delivering the letters, nor did it matter that I never even started delivering the parcels. I just had to get away from there. I circled back, of course, after completing all the other stops on that street. But I found he was still sitting there in his truck. So I passed the stop up again.

Later, after all my other stops had been completed, I would circle back one more time to find he finally vacated that stop. The folks got their mail and packages, just a little bit later than usual, thanks to their free ballin neighbor.

Wow, what a finale to the end of our campaign

[Major spoilers for @cbus-by-night below. Specifically stuff related to my character, Lattie]

Wow, just wow. I know a lot of this is going to be out of context since we are several journal entries behind on the campaign blog, but I need to get my thoughts out somewhere.

First of all, I found out some stuff (ooc) from the GM about Lattie’s embrace/sire. Apparently Lattie was never a human. Instead, she is a Frankenstein’s monster of Nosferatu corpses mixed with some other things put together by a Tremere. However, she doesn’t know this information…

Secondly, my character (Lattie) exited battle via someone teleporting her. The thing is that the teleporting was hijacked by the “tremere archon” we met a couple of sessions ago (his name is Will). He has basically kidnapped her to become an apprentice of his. (Kinda reminds me of Charles Xavier recruiting ppl for his school). The worst part of this is that she is now separated from her best friend, Delilah (a human who has superpowers that is toon force). This has caused Delilah to go in a path to becoming a supervillain in order to find out where Lattie is and kill who took her.

dragoon theorycrafting: how to fite

So it's pretty safe to say that the Knight-Dragoon order has been forced to constantly evolve their fighting style. My headcanon has them returning to their roots not only as dragon-riders, but as highly specialized monster and demon hunters. Fortunately given both Coerthas and Dravania's location, there's no end to said fiends, which means there's more than enough for both Clan Centrio and the Knights Dragoon.

HOWEVER. It should be noted that the Order is probably still learning how to, if not starting to master by this point, fighting actual humanoid ground troops. And yes, I can hear the commentary "well they should already know how to do that!"

Nah-huh. Remember that these guys turned into a hyper-specialized shock-troop force. Now they probably were ordered into combat against heretic forces at the very beginning of the Dragonsong War, but as time went on fighting heretics more than likely eventually fell to the Temple Knights and the infantry units of the High Houses' private armies. Maybe occasionally you'd get a dragoon or two in on that, but otherwise? The Order's fighting style switched to solitary, how-to-kill-dragon only combat. It's a major point of the HW Dragoon quests that the WoL is teaching the Order how to fight with partner/partners.

Now in current time, the Order has to learn not only how to fight ground forces once more, but also remaster dragon-back combat. And there's a lot of challenges with the former. The Temple Knights have probably tried and true methods to Stop Dragoon Bullshit, Stephanvian's probably got a few tricks up his sleeves. We have the Monk class also having the skill set to Stop Your Dragoon Fuckery, the Garleans...well...it's not that hard to imagine. Seriously.

(Riven has used Garuda quite a few times to ground a certain derpgoon).

You all get the picture.

Dragon-back probably depends on the type of dragon and what opponent, plus if said dragon is willing in the first place. We see Estinien doing jumps and leaps off Vrtra, but given the many evolutionary paths the children of the First Brood can take...

Now there's probably some basics--jumping, diving, but otherwise? Tactics more than likely will depend on the dragons. There's also learning how to get along with your dragon-partner, not to mention certain aspects of a long-lived race teaming up with a shorter-lifespan race. I have a headcanon that many in the proto-Knight-Dragoon order actually passed on their mantles from parent to child, due to the partner-dragon having made a bond with the entire family.

At current, dragon-riding is still very new and still in it's infancy, as Ishgard's still got a lot of work left to fix itself. (let's be honest it's going to take generations for them to get to a relatively stable point).

These guys are a little bit more tricky. CBU III not only went with the traditional FF dragoon, but also for the IRL version. I kinda wish they hadn't, or at the very least given us more differentiation. For those of you who don't know what a dragoon is in real life:

I'm very hesitant to offer any other theorycraft because there is a lorebook for XVI coming out (Japan this month, US next year). We don't have any idea of how many actual jumpy friends made up the dragoon ranks.

But regarding the fighting style:

Did Valisthea have anything/anyone capable of Stopping Dragoon Bullshit? More than likely, yes.

There's also one more bit, and it was brought up one night from the brilliant @driftward . It's quite simple, which is that dragoon fighting-- much like any other art--becomes personalized to the dragoon. I know I have Reinhardt incorporating various movements from different polearm fighting styles, and in the clip underneath this, Dion Lesage basically flexes in a controlled fall.
