That scarf is pretty long, is that ideal for road work? Seems like it could get caught in smth

The scarf isn’t always on. If the site is dangerous, then the vest-coat and the scarf are usually off.

You don’t need to become a cone to hang out with them :)

They specialize in other safety stuff too, but focus a lot more on road safety because of the car infested landscape known as America 🇺🇸.
And for other wizards, I haven’t come up with any so I dunno. Their cones are enough company.

i hate the vast useless parking lots that are never even filled more than a quarter. i hate the heat map they create. i hate the stupid parking garages that take up space that could have been used for housing, shops, or even a PARK. i hate the fuckin stroads. i hate all car-centric "infrastructure" that does nothing but ruin cities, divide neighborhoods (purposely), & takes away valuable space that should have been used for more important things. i want to destroy it all it makes me so god damn angry

welcome to my rant about American Infrastructure, to take ur mind away from the sadness lore brings.
Now, I'm Australian. We do a relatively good job of making our cities and towns accessible for people without cars. But America has car driven cities. Like bro... u don't need 3 parking spaces for every person in the city (looking at you Houston). And they have like, no footpaths. And if there are footpaths, they're shittily made.
Don't even get me started on stroads. A street, by definition, is a road that's usually one lane wide either way (2 in total), and is lined by either trees/vegetation or buildings. Roads are not, usually 2 lanes wide either way (4 in total), with cleared sides ( i forgor the technical name) so if a car were to pull over, nothing would stop the car. A stroad is the worst of both worlds. 4 total lanes, with buildings on the side; it's a nightmare. You are meant to go fast, but have to watch out for driveways and other stroads going in.
Also, Imma use Houston as a an example; the amount of carparks the city has is insane. Big blocks of parking space, just sitting there. PUT THEM UNDERGROUND AND SLAP A BUILDING ON TOP. It's not hard. Even a building structured like carpark, then buildings with an elevator connecting them. It would look a lot better. Even vegetated carparks. I've never seen one before, but wouldn't it be better to section car parks of with greenery? a nice pathway perhaps. Some nice big trees instead of slabs of concrete. It really wouldn't be hard.
ALSO please put better footpaths in. It's better for the environment, and people with lower income who can't afford cars. American cities are car centered instead of people centered. Roads aren't made efficiently, traffic lights often suck, traffic is awful, it's bad for the environment, none of it is good. Public transport is wonky as hell (/neg), and trainlines often stop a weird and inconvenient places. Cities could look nicer and function better if you put in more footpaths and bike trails
anyways that was my rant, hate American infrastructure, they should do better.
With Love

Ok so I'm British, never been to America but GOD yeah that sounds like a frustrating mess. And the fact that that you have like successfully highlighted what is wrong and a bunch of better alternative to fix it it's even more annoying like bro!! Do better!! Chuck some greenery in there!! Chuck some footpaths in there!! Uh car dependent areas in general are so annoying, like please some of simply can't, god.
Thank you Deer, this may be frustrating but I also feel slightly educated
