One of these days I'm just gonna go feral and write self indulgent X Reader fics of my favs but Marvus simps are still here and must be fed. They are appreciated deeply but this is not a Marvus only blog and I am one free moment away from screaming into the abyss about my favs. Which probably won't get as many likes or reblogs but they're self indulgent for a reason lol. hey there! you seem to basically be the friendsim queen here so i just wanna let you know that i fucking love friendsim. ive only played up to volume 7 so far but holy shit it is so good. like i never thought committing literal murder with a one eyed blue pirate art thief would be so fun but goddamn is it amazing. i love cirava and skylla and BRONYA and kuprum and folykl and elwurd and of course my queen remele. this has been a psa thank you for listening

IM GLAD YOUR LIKIN IT SO FAR!!! and also im glad my impact is whenever people have thoughts about friendsim they gotta go “well im gonna tell dia this” LOL volume 6 and 7 are def up there with my faves, and volumes 5 and 3 are so good as well, AHHHH i cant pick which one is best!!! remele’s such a fun character i love thinkin of her as like the ceruleans’ collective undomesticated little sister. ad since were talkin about her Im gonna post That image again

friendsim 15 thoughts:

-Wanshi is a precious kid, goddamn i love her. dunno what her class is at all but the Doom came through pretty well. i will protect her

-Charun’s probably a Maid of Rage? They make all this art and stuff seemingly purely for their own amusement/benefit, and the art's pretty Ragey in itself. it invites skepticism and confusion, and even when they make "good" art, the Reader describes the experience as pure "what the fuck". Pretty fitting Rage stuff.

-them stealing the tracker through Rage (manifest in azdaja and konyyl's black feelings) suggests Rogue/Thief, but they do so specifically so they can make stuff with it later. Since Rogue would be the class that corresponds to Olives and every olive so far has outlaw imagery attached, I’m putting down the stealing tendency to that.

-finally, most importantly of all of course

-charun/cirava otp all years, step aside galora

4. Bronya

She really overtaken this list! If I had rated her right after volume 3 she would have been a little bit lower, but everything that’s happened since has only aided in her ascent.

God, where do I even begin with her?

Well, first of all she ticks off a lot of personal character traits that I’m favorable too: devoted mother, loyal, lesbian, wears a really cute skirt, same blood color as Kanaya. The fact that I relate to jade bloods has only helped her standing!

But then we continue and, god… Karako wouldn’t even exist without her, and the way she’s pretty much Wanshi’s mom. We just see how she touches the lives of everyone around her and I just… I just really love it! ^^

3. Tyzias

Rebel-sensei! She is a welcome inclusion to friendsim. It feels great someone is fighting the system, and she’s pretty damn chill. Everytime she shows up she steals the show, either giving a new perspective on the situation or giving us much needed laughs!

I think my favorite moment with her was during the Tirona route. Just how she collaborated with Protag. God, I was so anxious to go down that route, and just how that part was handled, good stuff!

2. Wanshi

OMFG SHE’S SO GODDAMN CUTE!

Okay, we’ve got a tiny little cutie who’s my favorite blood caste who’s also adorkable? Hussie, hussie, you can’t just do this to me! She’s just so curious about everything and she’s so enthusiastic!

I LOVE HER AND I WANT TO PROTECT HER!

Also, god it was surprisingly dark. I kind of like how her route handled the futility of being a Jade, a bit more than Daraya handled it.

1. Skylla

Ah, dear sweet Applejack. I thought Cirava was a breath of fresh air, then Skylla dropped from the Heavens and bombed us with a friendliness nuke! Honestly, it was difficult keeping Bronya from this spot, but there’s just something so warm about Skylla. She just kind of feels like home… I dunno if that makes sense.

Not to mention her good ending was one of the biggest “FUCK YEAHS” in the series! There’s just something magical about when we charged out there, skin burning, outnumbered as hell, but still winning out! It’s easily my most favorite scene out of all of friendsim! Just everything about that route was spectacular writing!

Also… well, there’s a bit of a personal touch to it. Skylla’s route was the first time I really felt bad for a character in this series. Diemen was way too one note, and we don’t see Cirava’s tragedies first hand. The bad ending hit me REALLY hard, and uncertain how the series worked at that point, I was convinced she wouldn’t have a good ending. This misconception made that triumphant good ending that much more powerful to me!

I think Skylla’s route is what fully sold me on the series and she’ll always hold a place in my heart! ^^
