Yeah the holiday fic! Aw man I've been trying to get some more of that written, I've two chapters sitting as wip's I gotta get workin on it again! Yeah I'll admit Knux and Amy aren't my faves but I'm doing my best to include more guys in the story even just for practice, I can't just write team dark forever lmao! Glad you've been enjoying it so far tho! I got another Sonic & Shadow stand-alone thing I've been working on too so hopefully I'll be able to upload that soon!

1301 - Day 4

After the harvest there's finally something else on the table than gruel - today the Norwood family breaks their fast with pottage for the first time

The new plants have gown well and after Finnian tends to the fields so there's not much to do today. He does a little bit of woodwork instead.

Tara sold almost all their stock yesterday and her bread went really well. But there's not going to be a sale today because it's May Day and the curch has put together a small feast around the bonfire for the locals.

Finnian is pleased to see Emma here as well.

"I've brought a small gift for you, I picked it in the garden this morning."

"Oh, Thank you Finnian. It's so pretty"

The fire is going strong and the food is good. They spend the whole afternoon together dancing and talking with Tara and Evan.

William looks on from the graveyard.

"You would be so happy to see them dance, Eva. Perhaps someday we will look after them together again."

When it starts to get dark, Tara and Evan leave but Finnian stays a while to help the priests clean up.

Emma helps out as well but she has to leave soon.

"It was a nice day, Finnian, I really enjoyed it. And the rose will look great on our dinner table. Well…. Goodbye"

She fidgets, then looks up at him again

He knows that now is the time to make his intentions clear. He leans in an they share their first kiss

Afterwards she blushes and squeezes his hand. "Well… goddbye again"
