Human Bill dissociates a lot, especially at first. His body rarely feels like his own. He can hardly see through these weak human eyes. His hands don't look like that. He has one eye, not two. He doesn't have a mouth, or nose, or ears. He doesn't have any hair, much less hair all over him. Everything is wrong, down to the smallest detail.

It does gets better, eventually. He feels more like himself, less like a puppeteer cursed to inhabit a puppet. There are little things he likes about the his new body, little details that make it more bearable, little things he can do to feel more comfortable.
