so i took the forgotten Lupin Junior and made him my oc.
You guys remember the spinoff manga Monkey Punch wrote called Lupin Jr.?? Bout Lupin's son? I miss him. So here's a continuation / Lupin the 4th concept I made for a grown-up Junior goin on heist adventures with a band of thieves and an inspector on his tail, just like his old man!
Cast info below:
♦️ Arsène Lupin the 4th-- known by all as Lupin Junior (much to his chagrin sometimes)-- is the son of infamous thieves Lupin III and Fujiko Mine. Though he isn't well known just yet, and he is widely underestimated, Junior knows one day he'll be able to surpass his own dad as the world's greatest thief!
💚 Marilyn Aiki-- Junior's childhood friend (also a character from the original manga)-- a witty, charming and adventurous girl who became Junior's self-declared partner in crime. She sticks by Junior's side through thick and thin, though she has to reel him back from his impulsivity sometimes.
🌂 Jiro Yamazato-- A reserved and gruff former assassin, he was saved by Junior despite the thief being an assigned target, and now vows to protect the gang. Despite his roughened exterior, Jiro is gentle and selfless.
🗡 Goemon Ishikawa XIV-- Daughter of samurai Goemon XIII, wielding the Zantetsuken passed down to her that can cut through even the toughest steels. The stoic yet confident and sarcastic Goe grew up with Junior, and as much as they annoy each other their sibling-like bond is too strong for even her sword to cut through.
☀️ Inspector Hiromi Zenigata-- Daughter of Koichi Zenigata, Hiromi is an excitable, optimistic and determined ICPO officer. She's just as loud and persistent as her Pops, stopping at nothing to track down and arrest Junior, though it's clear she has a great soft spot for the entire gang.
Anyways yea!!! I really wanted to share them to my tumblr!!!

I find it kinda funny how in a lot of the Lupin III animes, a lot of times Zenigata is often times played up for a comedic effect. Or that other policemen that work with Zenigata never really take him seriously because he's always getting screwed over by Lupin and his gang. So much so that it makes you forget that Zenigata is literally the best of the best in the world of law enforcement.
Pops has arrested several hundreds of criminals within his career and has influenced and helped a lot of people with his kind actions. He's also a master at Judo and can wreck someone's shit pretty quickly with zero effort. Not to mention that he's the only one who's able to keep up with Lupin, as well as predict what his next moves are and is the only one who's managed to arrest him several times throughout the entire series.
Adding onto this, other criminals who aren't Lupin or his friends always fall to the Inspector's skills. Cuz he's so damn good at his job that they're not a challenge him at all in the long run. Basically Zenigata is the king and he rarely ever loses, if at all.
Unless it's Lupin.
Like it's so easy to forget that beneath the usual emotional, kind and goofy Zenigata we all know and love, is actually a god damn powerhouse of a man who's a literal unstoppable hurricane. He's the ICPO's best detective they've ever had in their ranks.
It's why Zenigata is the only one that Lupin pays attention to and takes seriously as a rival. Cuz like Zenigata, Lupin's the best of the best. He's the world's greatest thief, an unstoppable force that leaves carnage in his wake. He's left several policemen and detectives and inspectors in the dust because they couldn't pin him down nor keep up with him. Lupin's literally ruined people's careers in the law enforcement department just by outsmarting them.
And then there's Pops.
Pops, the only cop who was able to keep up and keep in step with Lupin and his moves. Pops who's the only detective whose ever given Lupin an actual challenge in his usual heists. Who's the only one besides Lupin's partners, Jigen, Goemon and Fujiko, that's still able to take Lupin by surprise outwit him when he least expects it.
They're both masters at their crafts, the top class in their respective areas and careers. No one else is able to match them when it really comes down to their skills, talents and assets.
No one except for each other.
Like dude it's interesting to think about it, like if one of them were to quit or go missing or die the other would be incomplete. Because at the end of the day, the reasons why their jobs are worth it and makes them so enjoyable, is because they have the other there to heighten up the excitement. A rival that makes the experience of heists and adventures worth while. If one of them wasn't there, then it wouldn't be worth it.

Just so you know, I do have villain F/Os as part of my romantic list. I do not condone or deny any of their actions they have done in canon universes. All I know is that they are interesting people with interesting perspectives, and hence why I am so attracted to them. If me having any of these villain F/Os makes you uncomfortable in anyway, please feel free to not interact with me or block me for your own mental health’s sake. I will not mind at all. 👍
UPDATE: I’m very comfortable with sharing most of my F/Os on these lists, except for three of them. The main three are Atsushi Nakajima, Oscar Jarjayes, and Wally Darling. These three characters are very close and personal comfort characters of mine, and I do feel uncomfortable sharing them with other self shippers. If you’re a good friend/mutual of mine I don’t mind if we share them. However, if you’re a newcomer and you share these F/Os too, I recommend you DM me first and we can set up a filtering/tagging system so there are no hard feelings on both sides. Thank you. 🙏💕
The list will be continually updated from here as I go along, but for now these are all the F/Os I can list from the top of my head! For all those who are uncomfortable sharing anyone on my list; I don’t mind if you blacklist or block me. Your mental health is just as important as mine, and I don’t want people to feel horrible because of me. I personally don’t feel the need to be uncomfortable sharing most of my F/Os with others because I’m not really the jealous type. I love my F/Os unconditionally, and without any restraint. And I believe love is possible through any and all universes. But for those who are comfortable enough sharing, please, I ENCOURAGE you to gush to me because I LOVE the company! Thank you all for being so supportive of me! 🙏💖✨
Sincerely,
Your local wine loving self shipper!

ladylooter’s guide to watching Lupin III
Tumblr media
I was inspired by @despairfiles‘ guide to watching the Fate series as well as mutuals who have expressed interest in interacting with my Fujiko muse but were either completely unfamiliar with the Lupin III franchise or hadn’t seen any of the shows/movies/OVAs/TV specials in awhile. So I’m going to use this post to share my recommendations of where Lupin fans (and soon-to-be fans!) can start with the franchise. I’ll make a note first: these opinions are my own and there’s no ‘correct’ way to watch the various anime offerings. Some Lupin fans may disagree with me, and that’s great! Personally, I think there’s something in the Lupin fandom for every fan to enjoy, depending on your tastes. This is just my personal recommendation, based on the vast (seriously, a lot) of Lupin I’ve watched over the years.
But first, the basics:
Lupin the Third (often stylized as Lupin III) began as a manga in the 1960s by creator Monkey Punch. It spawned a media franchise featuring the manga, two pilot films, six television series, countless movies/OVAs/TV specials, video games, live action movies, a CG movie, and more. It stars Arsene Lupin III, the grandson of the original Arsene Lupin, who is considered the world’s greatest thief. He often teams up with the likes of Daisuke Jigen (expert marksman), Goemon Ishikawa XIII (expert swordsman), and on occasion, Fujiko Mine (expert seductress and betrayer). The four (though mostly Lupin), are constantly pursued by Inspector Zenigata of Interpol, who will stop at nothing to apprehend Lupin III.
A note about this guide: While the thoughts are my own, none of the images are. I tried to pull photos that represent the various recommendations I give here.
Where to watch: I’ll always advise to find legal copies of Lupin III shows and films. With so much content, there’s a variety of ways to watch. If you’re in the United States or have access to US-based streaming services, I’d recommend checking Hulu (Lupin III Part II is on there still, I believe) and Crunchyroll (Lupin III Parts I, II, III, IV and V are there). Movies and The Woman Called Fujiko Mine are a little more difficult to find nowadays, but you can often find out of print Funimation discs on secondhand sites as well as a variety of licensed Lupin movies from Discotek. But if you have your own means to track down content, I’m not going to judge you.
Onto the guide!
Part I - I’m completely new to Lupin III…
...And I only want to watch one movie to see if I like it!
Tumblr media
If you only want to commit to one movie, I’d recommend choosing Lupin III Episode 0: The First Contact. Lupin as a franchise has negative continuity, so there’s multiple ways the cast meets and interacts with one another. First Contact does this in a very succinct fashion while not losing a lot of the more traditional, common Lupin tropes. You’ll be introduced to the main five characters, see some heists, and get an idea of what the franchise is (mostly) about.
In short, the plot revolves around a story Daisuke Jigen retells to a reporter about how Lupin and the gang first met. The main five members of the cast are also supplemented by interesting side characters (who aren’t just there to be plot devices. This happens a lot in the Lupin franchise unfortunately).
I really liked this! What do I watch next? Almost any of the movies/OVAs/TV specials you want, as well as Part II or Part IV. If you don’t mind a darker take on Lupin or with more questionable plots, then Part I or The Woman Called Fujiko Mine could be for you. But I’d suggest Parts II or IV if you want to watch a TV series.
...And I want to watch a few episodes! I love humor, wacky hijinks, and don’t mind older animation.
Tumblr media
Look no further than Lupin III Part II! This Lupin series is what you may remember being broadcast on Adult Swim in the early 2000s. It consists of 155 episodes and aired between 1977-1980. But don’t worry, you do not need to watch all of them, or even watch them in order! Most plotlines are contained to one episode, so you can skip around and watch what you’d like. The content is light, most everything is focused around crime capers, and there’s a lot of humor and pop culture references (well, pop culture for the late 70s). Episodes 145 and 155 are particularly highly regarded as they were directed by pre-Studio Ghibli Hayao Miyazaki.
In short, the best way to figure out which episodes to watch are to read the titles or see thumbnails and see if it interests you. Or you can watch from the beginning, but that’s a lot of anime to go through!
I really liked this! What do I watch next? I’d recommend the two following movies: The Mystery of Mamo and The Castle of Cagliostro. Mamo was Lupin III’s first feature film and is a bit darker and mature in tone than Lupin III Part II (as well as some rough animation), but the plot is fantastic. Cagliostro is a classic, and Hayao Miyazaki’s first feature film. It’s just a great movie in general and has one of the best car chases in cinematic history. My only advice for Cagliostro? Know that the Lupin gang (especially Lupin and Fujiko) are far nicer and altruistic than their portrayals in other Lupin media. Watch it with the mindset of it being a Miyazaki/Studio Ghibli take on Lupin and being very family-friendly.
...And I want to watch a few episodes! I love heists and capers, but I prefer more contemporary animation.
Tumblr media
You can’t go wrong with Lupin III Part IV! Also known as “The Italian Adventure,” this series takes place mostly in Italy and San Marino. It opens with Lupin’s marriage (yes, marriage) to Rebecca Rossellini, a wealthy heiress who has way more fun being a thief. It aired in 2015 in Japan and 2017 on Adult Swim’s Toonami block in the United States.
It has plenty lighthearted moments similar to Part II, but unlike Part II it does need to be watched in full. Some episodes are self-contained capers but there is an overarching story that spans the entire season. Luckily, it’s only 26 episodes. The animation is stunning, the main cast is very much reminiscent of the gang Lupin fans know and love, and Part IV also has the addition of a more consistent female member of the cast other than Fujiko in Rebecca (and the two play off each other rather hilariously!).
I really liked this! What do I watch next? You could watch the TV special Lupin III: The Italian Game, but a good amount of the film will rehash content from Part IV. Instead, I’d recommend watching Lupin III Part V. Taking place mostly in France, it’s the natural successor to Part IV. While you don’t see much of Rebecca, you do get another female member of the main cast named Ami. Part V also recently aired on Adult Swim’s Toonami block in 2019.
...And I want to watch a few episodes! I want to start at the very beginning to see how the characters have evolved and changed over time (and I don’t mind older animation).
Tumblr media
Then you should start with Lupin III Part I.  Originally broadcast in 1971-1972, it’s one of the interpretations that’s closer to the original manga. It was the first anime series in Japan with a mature feel and aimed at an adult audience, so don’t be surprised if there’s a bit more lewd humor and violence. There’s a lot more sinister organizations for the gang to rob and far less of an emphasis on the happy, upbeat Lupin portrayal that’s found in later installments.
I really liked this! What should I watch next? Lupin III: The Fuma Conspiracy. It still features green jacket (Part I, when it was released) Lupin and is overall a good movie. The Japanese dub of this will be a little jarring if you’ve watched other subtitled Lupin: the entire voice cast was changed for this specific movie only. Otherwise, I’d recommend checking out Lupin III Part II or The Woman Called Fujiko Mine.
Part II - I’m a returning fan to Lupin III...
...And I want to see a darker, grittier Lupin gang.
Tumblr media
The Woman Called Fujiko Mine. You will not get a darker, gritter take on the Lupin franchise in anime than The Woman Called Fujiko Mine. Tone and design are very close to the original manga and it’s the only series that has Fujiko as the main character (I’m also a bit biased: this is one of my favorite contributions to the franchise). The 13 episode series details how Fujiko met Lupin, Jigen, Goemon, and Zenigata (gotta love the Negative Continuity!), and the various missions she undertakes while she tries to outrun her past.
You’ll get some very different characterizations for some of the main cast (especially Zenigata) and as the series is much more dark and adult in nature, it has copious amounts of nudity (mostly for Fujiko. She’s completely naked for the entire opening credits), drugs, alcohol, smoking, and implied sex (among other things that would be considered spoilers).
Literally. I cannot stress the nudity, drugs, and sex aspects enough for this show. It’s also the only entry into the Lupin III franchise to be directed by a woman. I’d say that if you’re a fan of Cowboy Bebop and Samurai Champloo, you’ll likely enjoy this addition to the franchise.
I really liked this! What do I watch next? You’ll want to watch the trio of films meant to follow TWCFM and have a similar art style: Jigen’s Gravestone, Goemon’s Blood Spray, and Fujiko’s Lie. None of them necessarily reference the series, but they have similar tone and design and are meant as spinoffs/continuations. They’re all relatively short films (an hour or less). If you’re already pretty familiar with Lupin, don’t miss the shoutout to The Mystery of Mamo in Jigen’s Gravestone.
...And I want to see some great heists and overall fun that reminds me of Lupin III Part II!
Scroll up and see everything I wrote for Lupin III Part IV: The Italian Adventure. :) If you haven’t watched Lupin in awhile but love the red jacket era Lupin, you’ll want to start on Part IV. It has nicer animation with a similar feel.
...And I want to watch some movies/OVAs/Specials! What do you recommend?
Beyond everything already recommended on this list? There’s a lot of movies out there, but here are some of my favorites:
Generally good story/art contributions to the Lupin III franchise:
Tokyo Crisis
Dead or Alive (This was directed by Monkey Punch himself!)
Voyage to Danger
Island of Assassins
Alcatraz Connection
Green vs. Red (this one is good for fans who’ve seen quite a bit of the franchise already. It was made to celebrate Lupin’s 40th anniversary)
The Travels of Marco Polo ~Another Page~
Lupin III: The First (The newest addition and the first CGI Lupin III movie! It’s coming to theaters in the USA shortly and will arrive on blu-ray in January 2021)
So bad they’re good at times:
Farewell to Nostradamus (I’m biased towards this one for a reason. Also, the opening sequence is great)
The Columbus Files: Fujiko’s Unlucky Days (Look I’m here for amnesiac Fujiko and I admit it)
Dragon of Doom (Great if you like Goemon, a little basic otherwise)
So there you have it. I hope you enjoy getting into Lupin III!

Note
Alright what’s lupin the 3rd it looks SO CUTE AND GOOD AND IM DYING
KICKS DOWN THE DOOR
ALRIGHT LISTEN UP FOLKS IM ABOUT TO TELL Y’ALL ABOUT POSSIBLY THE GREATEST ANIME OF ALL TIME
First of all) It’s created by the amazing late Monkey Punch, who has such a great grasp on humor I cannot even imagine anyone else meeting that level.
Tumblr media
THE STORY: It’s about Arsène Lupin’s (fictional gentleman thief) grandson, Lupin iii, and his adventures with his gang in trying to steal from literally everyone and everything. Lupin is a goofball who’ll do anything for a treasure as well as a kiss from a lovely lady. My friend has described him as “big of heart, dumb of ass” which pretty much sums up all you need to know.
Tumblr media
Lupin is joined by his partner & best friend Jigen, a shootstraight gunman who can make any shot. And he was based on James Coburn’s character in The Magnificent S.even, who also could make any shot! The man who dubbed Coburn’s roles into Japanese also voices Jigen! How cool is that? Jigen looks like he would be a stern, no nonsense mobster, but he’s actually as much of a goofball as Lupin is.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
They’re joined by Goemon & Fujiko! Goemon is a quick to be flustered Samurai who tries his best to help the two in anyway he can. His sword can cut through anything which leads to amazing comedic shots. Fujiko is the woman who’s got Lupin wrapped around her finger. She can get him to do literally anything for her, and often betrays the group once she gets what she wants, but sometimes helps them out a whole lot. Lupin always falls head over heels for her, no matter what she does.
Tumblr media
And THEN THERE’S INSPECTOR ZENIGATA!! Rightfully nicknamed “Pops” by the group of thieves, Zenigata is part of the ICPO and in charge of catching Lupin and his gang, though Lupin more specifically. While he is determined in catching them, he’s more focused on getting them to serve their debt to society instead of rotting away in a cell. He does care about the group and their well being, and certainly doesn’t want any of them to get hurt. He often has to team up w/ Lupin to defeat a greater threat, which is personally one of my favorite parts. Think of his chases with Lupin like an elaborate episode of human Tom & Jerry. You can probably guess that Pops is Tom. HE IS STRESSED & NEED TO GO TO SLEEP & PLEASE GOD JUST LET HIM EAT HIS RAMEN IN PEACE
“But Peggy!” I hear you say “There’s so much Lupin iii content! How do I even start?”
WELL LUCKY FOR YOU!! I HAVE A RECOMMENDATION LIST OF HOW YOU CAN GET STARTED!!
First of all: Movies / TV Specials
Tumblr media
Castle of Cagliostro (1979)! This is the first film Miyazaki ever directed! YES!! THAT MIYAZAKI!!! If you want to get into Lupin & see how all the character dynamics work, then this is the film you start with. Lupin & Jigen travel to a small country making counterfit bills, but end up trying to save a locked up princess instead. It has GREAT animation! You can find this in HD on Netflix! (Miyazaki also directed episode 145 of part 2!)
Tumblr media
Next keeping along the same vibe is The Fuma Conspiracy (1987): When Goemon’s wedding gets crashed, he, & the gang must go rescue his bride and find a secret hidden treasure along the way. This one has more Goemon, a great car chase, and good Fujiko characterization, yAAAY!!! This one’s on Kissanime!
Tumblr media
Farewell to Nostrodamous (1995)! My personal favorite as of right now! A doll containing Lupin’s diamond is snatched by a little girl, & when this girl gets kidnapped, Lupin & the gang must find a way to get her back. This one has EVERYONE in character! The animation is amazing & it has one of the best sequences I’ve ever seen. I don’t wanna give too much away. This one’s on kissanime as well.
Tumblr media
Blood Seal: Eternal Mermaid (2011): Last on out “Get started” movie list is this TV special! A young girl named Maki begs Lupin to make her his apprentice in the art of thieving. But why is she so persistent? This special has great character moments & amazing animation. Give it a watch on kissanime!
This is getting long but SERIES REC TIME BAYBEEEE!!
Tumblr media
I started with Part 4: The Italian Game (2015)Lupin & his gang adventure around Italy stealing & causing general mischief. This series is what got me into Lupin. It has fun, heart, and has individual episodes for other members of the gang (Jigen, Goemon, & Fujiko) so it doesn’t just focus on Lupin! It’s a great way to learn how the characters interact with each other and it FUNNY as hell!! This is my personal favorite series, & it’s what got me into Lupin in the first place. You can find all episodes on kissanime.
Tumblr media
Part 5: (2018)On amazon prime & kissanime but oof it’s kinda rough around the edges. More pushing towards adult humor if anything. If you’re going to watch it I recommend episodes 11 & 18. They focus solely on Lupin’s gang & their interactions with each other.
Definitely give Parts 1, 2 & 3 a try too! I’m currently weeding my way through them, so I can’t recommend much yet.
There is “edgy” Lupin content, so if you’re into more dark, adult content then go for it, but it’s not particularly my style. I think Lupin should be fun!
IF YOU GIVE ANY OF THESE A WATCH!! FEEL FREE TO TELL ME! I NEED MORE PEOPLE TO GUSH ABT LUPIN WITH WHILE WE WAIT FOR LUPIN III: THE FIRST TO RELEASE IN THE STATES!

Head's up, all you gentleman thief appreciators! UZUMAKI MITO. first jinchuriki of the kyuubi, kurama. princess, high priestess, empress, mother, maiden, crone. a princess of high and noble birth in the island paradise of uzu no kuni but knew her duty more than anyone else in her country. has known heartbreak by a man and war’s kiss and married a god among men. a woman who held two powerhouses, senju hashirama and uchiha madara, up as a pillar, and together, they were a team that men and beasts alike trembled to behold, with the songs of the forest, golden chains and the sea and dark flames and eyes in the darkness. a scholar and a priestess in her own right who published books on the nine bijuu and jinchuriki and chronicles received from artifacts from her travels around the world to ancient ruins of long dead empires. a friend of the shikkotsu forest and has managed to befriend perhaps the most fearsome beast in all the realm. took her duty as jinchuriki as the one who started it all, as a sign of her duty to her beloved husband, her family, and her village.

Note
I dunno if you were legit asking, but Lupin the third is a series about the world's greatest thief and his worldwide heist adventures along side his collaborators, Jigen the gunman and Goemon the samurai. Coincidentally, they are also all complete fucking idiots.
Yes thank you because I’ve seen so many clips from it and had NO idea

Then I highly recommend that you check out Lupin III.
Like seriously it's so good and it's an absolute delight I love this series to bits and pieces! To give you a rundown of the series-
Lupin III, is a anime series that was inspired by the manga comics made by a manga artist called Monkey Punch. Who's works have been incredibly influential to the manga industry as we know it. This series has 50 years worth of anime and other nifty bits and pieces to it!
In the series you follow the adventures of the greatest thief of all time Arsene Lupin III, the grandson of infamous thief, Arsene Lupin himself. Joining him on these heists is his partner and best friend, sharp shooting gunslinger Jigen Daisuke. As well as the highly skilled samurai, Goemon Ishikawa XIII, a descendant of the infamous thief Goemon Ishikawa. Added to the Lupgang is the beautiful cat burglar, Fujiko Mine, who's Lupin's on again off again beau. Following this incredible gang of thieves is the best of ICPO's task force and Lupin's fated rival, Inspector Zenigata Koichi. Who's known to hunt down the Lupgang to the ends of the Earth and beyond if needed.
It's a really fun series full of fun, action and outstanding adventures.
Seriously go check it out.

What’s old is new again in Lupin III: The First
Though only offered a limited glance at what the film has in store (about 15 minutes of it, via the now online Annecy Festival), the first fully 3DCG Lupin III feature is looking incredibly slick. The latest in a 50-year history of anime based on the manga from Monkey Punch (who has since passed away), Lupin III: The First looks to honour the past and present of the iconic gentleman thief.
Its embrace of new animation technologies is well-coupled with a return to the character’s roots, taking the gang to France (the birthplace of Lupin III’s grandfather, Arsene) in pursuit of the diary of Professor Bresson (no relation to the filmmaker), a supposed guide to an immense treasure.
Despite its move into new territory with this method of animation, Lupin III: The First, directed by Takashi Yamazaki, still feels like a classic Lupin III tale, taking the story back to the 1960s (the decade of the character’s creation), and placing the eponymous gentleman thief in his classic red suit.
Those who have kept up with the many iterations of the show will be delighted at the film’s reverence towards it, including everything from Yuji Ohno’s classic opening theme to the music sting that accompanied the title card for each episode. It’s a confident reminder of one of the series’ greatest strengths: to reinvent itself with time and again without losing its original charms.
The ultra-realistic lighting and textures, plus obsession with historical treasure might immediately remind Western viewers of Steven Spielberg’s The Adventures of Tintin. Unlike that film, however, Lupin III: The First handily sidesteps the uncanny valley simply by leaning into the exaggerated art style of the original manga, continuing to highlight things such as Lupin’s monkey-like features.
Each character design translates surprisingly well to this mode of animation, as Lupin’s compatriots – the anachronistic samurai Goemon, the duplicitous Fujiko and steadfast, snarky Jigen – all feel comfortable in the third dimension, that move assisted by the return of their contemporary voice actors.
Furthermore, Lupin himself moves just as he did in the 2D animations (and as if to emphasise this, replicates an absurdly long jump across rooftops as in Miyazaki’s The Castle of Cagliostro, even with the same sound effect). Even with the near photorealistic detail of the environments that fun, vibrant cartoonishness is, at a glance, perhaps the animation’s greatest strength, defying the sterility and lifelessness that can all-too-often accompany CG.
It can be all too easy to fall into snobbishness when discussing computer animation, but even to skeptics like myself, frankly, it looks incredible. There’s perhaps a small period of adjustment for those who are already familiar with the series, but it won’t last long, as the film confidently sweeps into a dazzling, bravura opening title sequence that shows off the newfound dimensional freedom of CG imagery, swooping through clockwork puzzles and even a hole in a cigarette lighter.
Where the latest series (Lupin III: Part V) has Lupin reckoning with modern technology and the advent of the internet, Lupin III: The First is harnessing modern styles of animation to tell a flashy yet old-school caper, paying homage to the franchise’s past and present.

The Legend Of The Mystical Ninja Hardcore Indepth Review By Terrence T. Watson / Samurai
The following review is published for http://www.realotakugamer.com you can view that here. http://realotakugamer.com/games-you-slept-on-the-legend-of-the-mystical-ninja Retro Games You Slept On : The Legend Of The Mystical Ninja Introduction: Welcome back to the SNES Era of Gaming here we'll be talking about a hidden gem that not many people actually know about. This title is known as The Legend Of The Mystical Ninja or ( Ganbare Goemon ) in Japan. Whilst only one Mystical Ninja title came over to the US there has been a whole slew of these titles within Japan thus proving that the game is a popular series but it was more of a one hit wonder in the US eventually leading to future games in the Goemon series for the N64 and the Playstation. The Story: The Legend Of The Mystical Ninja stars the adventures of Kid Ying ( Goemon ) and Dr. Yang ( Ebisamaru ) respectively. Their adventure starts with investigating the haunted Horo Shrine and it leads all the way across Japan in an effort to save Princess Yuki from The Forces of Evil. From what starts off as a small Journey turns into being a rather massive Oddessy within itself. Going from places such as Towns to Amusment Parks , Through actual Bamboo Forests literally for a SNES Game its rather impressive just what this paticular game is quite capable of. Regardless without giving too much away you should definitely give this title a chance. Why you shouldent sleep on it: There is a lot of different things you can do within this game alone. From Going through hidden mazes , Playing Paint , Hitting the Sauna, Playing Whack A Mole , Getting your fortune told , gambling , actually playing the Lottery , actually being on a quiz show , actually betting on horses and playing Gradius. Trust me there is a LOT you can actually do within Legend Of The Mystical Ninja on SNES and the sad part about that is? It's not a part of the main campaign. Those are actually side stores you can go into as your gaming normally. With a hefty campaign and side area's you can go into and that is excuding the games hidden areas? Legend Of The Mystical Ninja is a game that has enough for just about anyone literally this section alone justifies why you should not sleep on it. Fun Factor?: Honestly "The Legend Of The Mystical Ninja's" stand alone campaign is a lengthly campaign within its own. Even having beaten the actual game? I'd say that the entire game itself is fun due to the sheer amount of areas that you can go toward almost every area has one town and one dungeon area. Most stages have a boss at the end of each level. I think the sole exception to this rule is the third level in which only has a Mini Boss given that it's a "Konami themed Amusment Park" than an actual level. Personal Likes: My Personal Likes are listed below. -The Sheer Amount Of Diversity This Game Has [Seriously this game offers a lot.] -The amount of Mini games it has. [Please see why you shouldent sleep on this game] -Its amazing Cast Of Characters [Literally every character is memorable in its own way.] -The setting for the entire game overall. [I like all of the areas and its rarely that I do.] Personal Dislikes: My Personal Dislikes are listed below. -The Length Of The Game [Personally even though the game is long I wanted more] -Some of The Boss Dungeons can get tedious [Namely Stage 4 and 5's boss castles.] -Some stages require you to buy a key item to advance. [Only two stages do this but still its quite annoying] -The inability to go back to previous stages [So once you advance? That is it until you replay the game.] Closing Statement: For this being a SNES Era Video Game? The Legend Of The Mystical Ninja was one of Konami's greatest titles on the SNES. The game for me is pretty much a god send if you ask me especially the way I see it. This is because in a game of tradtional american style titles which was pretty much how it was for that era of gaming. Before the big Asian based boom came in this game had broken the mold to me. It also introduced me to a whole new genre of gaming and personally? I'd like to pay it forward and tell the whole world about how amazing this title is. So if you fancy playing a hidden gem within the SNES Library look no further than. "The Legend Of The Mystical Ninja" for Super Nintendo because it is a game most people definitely slept on. With that being said it's time to wake up and smell the Coffee ~Samurai

Discotek Announces Memories, Urusei Yatsura Movies, and More
Discotek Media has a fresh slate of new announcements from their industry panel at teleconference anime convention AnimeLockdown, and we've got the run-down of their acquisitions and license-rescues, which include the following:
1001 Nights: An adult animated take on the Arabian Nights folktales, this 1969 film is directed by Eiichi Yamamoto and produced by Osamu Tezuka. It was originally given an X rating by the MPAA when it was screened theatrically in the United States in 1970. Discotek's Bluray release will include a new restoration of the long lost “international version” edited English dub.
S-Cry-Ed: A 2001 TV anime directed by Goro Taniguchi and animated by Sunrise. Will be released by Discotek Media on Bluray with the English dubbed and subtitled versions. Originally released in the United States by Bandai Entertainment, who described the story of the series as follows:
22 years ago, Tokyo was destroyed by a cataclysmic earthquake and in the aftermath the devastated region was just abandoned by the government. This area became known as the Lost Ground and it gave rise to Alter Users, people with unique psychic abilities to change matter and create Alters with incredible power. To bring order back to the Lost Ground, the special police force HOLO was formed and using Alter Users themselves created HOLY to capture and control the renegade Native Alters. One such renegade is Kazuma, a Native Alter who thrives on the thrill of a good fight and the cash rewards. The power of this Alter, Shell Bullet is put to the test when HOLY comes knocking on his door and Kazuma must fight for his freedom and the safety of his friends. But is he strong enough to take on HOLY's most powerful Alter User Ryuho and his Alter, Zetsuei?
Case Closed: "Episode One": aka TV Special 6, a modern retelling of the origin story of Shinichi Kudo, aka Detective Conan Edogawa. To be released on Bluray, featuring a new English dub by Bang Zoom!.
Memories: A 1995 anthology film based on the manga of Katsuhiro Otomo, composed of three segments: Magnetic Rose, directed by Koji Morimoto; Stink Bomb, directed by Tensai Okamura; and Cannon Fodder, directed by Katsuhiro Otomo. Originally released on U.S. home video by Sony Pictures Home Entertainment. The Discotek Bluray release will feature a new English language dub, a revised English subtitled script, and it will be remastered in 1080p HD. Scheduled to be released in 2021.
The Urusei Yatsura film series: Previously released on home video in the United States by AnimEigo, Discotek will be publishing Bluray releases for the remaining five films in the Urusei Yatsura theatrical anime movie series: Only You, Remember My Love, Lum the Forever, The Final Chapter, and Always My Darling. Discotek has previously released the second film, Urusei Yatsura: Beautiful Dreamer. The Blurays will feature 1080p transfers of the films as well as the English dubbed and English subtitled versions.
Demon City Shinjuku: a 1988 theatrical anime film directed by Yoshiaki Kawajiri and animated by Madhouse, based on the supernatural novel by Hideyuki Kikuchi. The new Bluray release is coming in July of 2020, and Discotek describes the story of the film as follows:
The near future. The glittering skyline of Tokyo now lies broken and crumbling under the weight of an oppressive evil: The tyrannical Rebi Rah. Desperate to rescue her father, who was taken captive by Rah and his monstrous minions, the beautiful Sayaka Rama enlists the help of Kyoya, a streetwise Tokyo teenager. The two must bravely venture into the Demon City, where even the army fears to tread.
Love Hina Again: A 3-part OAV series from 2002, continuing the adventures of Keitaro Urashima and the girls of Hinata House. Originally released on home video in the United States by Bandai Entertainment, the Discotek Bluray release will include the original Bandai Entertainment English dub, the original Bandai Entertainment extras, and a 1080i upscale transfer.
Lupin the 3rd: Dragon of Doom: A 1994 TV special directed by Masaharu Okuwaki. Previously released on U.S. home video by Funimation. To be released on Bluray. Goemon cuts an airplane in half in this one.
There's a little something for everyone. I'm personally looking forward to an HD copy of Memories, another release of Demon City Shinjuku (I think I own like three copies of this already), the Urusei Yatsura movies, and Tezuka being horny on main.
