Aziraphale smiling at Muriel’s disguise and then immediately becoming a “newspaperman” has the same energy as Crowley pulling the rib heist when he DOESN’T KNOW YOU NEED TWO UNICORNS

So. To those who are saying that Aziraphale wanting Crowley to be angel again is ooc of him, can we talk about a particular scene at the end of episode 3 of season 1?
Tumblr media
One of their many break-up scenes..
Here you have the dialog for this scene:
It's the Great Plan, Crowley.
Yeah. For the record, great pustulent mangled bollocks to the Great BLASTED PLAN!
May you be forgiven.
I won't be forgiven. Not ever. That's part of a demon's job description. Unforgivable, that's what I am.
You were an angel once.
That was a long time ago.
So, when Aziraphale says 'You were an angel once.', he smiles, but his eyes are sad. He looks as if he were talking about a long lost friend of his.
Tumblr media
But when Crowley shuts him down with 'That was a long time ago', he immediately stops smiling.
Tumblr media
A small part of Aziraphale has always wanted Crowley to be an angel again, he desperately wishes for him to be good. And so there's no surprise that Aziraphale immediately jumps at the opportunity Metatron presents to him.
Thank you for coming to my TED talk.

So Crowley saves Aziraphale's books in 1941. Because he loves him, because it doesn't matter Aziraphale has hundreds more at home, each one is cherished. Then 72 years later, Aziraphale gives up not a dissimilar amount of books to create a situation where he can invite Crowley to dance. Because he loves him, because he thinks dancing with someone is a direct pipeline to uncovering hidden feeling. Cool, cool cool cool, cool cool cool.

Can we talk about how recent the Flood would have been, in A Companion to Owls?
If we go by biblical timelines, humans were living a long-ass time back then. Noah lives for 350 more years after the Flood. Shem, one of his sons, lives for 502 more years.
Job’s children could have talked to people who were on the ark.
So when Aziraphale’s in that cellar, he has very recently seen Noah get horribly, viciously drunk. He has very recently seen Noah’s family try meat for the first time — and the stomachaches that followed, unless they introduced meat extremely slowly.
Forget sullying the temple of his celestial body, I would be fearing for my earthly body after seeing all that.

Hmm, maybe not. A bit pretentious? // I still prefer the funny ones.
