Google Speed Test Qestion -What Score Should You use for Google Lightspeed / Page Speed? https://www.reddit.com/r/SEO/comments/c8eih1/google_speed_test_qestion_what_score_should_you/
Very confused as to which one you should target as there is GoogleSpeed Insights, Lighthouse with No Throttling, and then two throttling options? Which one is the proper benchmark to use?

I’m looking for some feedback/recommendation for a managed hosting providers. I narrowed down my options to Kinsta and SiteGround Cloud.
My blog traffic is increasing to a point where I have to consider more powerful plans beyond the shared hosting plans. I’m currently with SiteGround GoGeek plan, and considering to move to their Cloud hosting, but there is very limited information/review about SiteGround cloud services.
While I’m aware about other provides, such as Digital Ocean, I do not have the knowledge, nor the time to manage a server.
Let’s assume that price is not a factor. My goal is to get the optimal hosting considering the points below.
I worked with SiteGround for over a year, and they are awesome. I really have no issue with their services. But that was based on their shared hosting plans, and I’m not sure about the cloud services.
Things I like about SiteGround and looking for in order to support my growth:
I get near to perfect speed scores – close to 100 in Gtmetrix, Pingdom and GoogleSpeed Insights (but based on GoogleSpeed Insights, I should reduce server response time. Not sure if that would get solved if I move to the cloud plan)
They are using cPanel, which has great documentations. It also makes migration to other hosts much easier in case it’s needed
They came up with a new version of their caching plugin (sg optimizer), which I really like. It allowed me to replace couple of plugins, as it offers Lazy load, https redirect, and some other optimizations
I put some good effort to optimize the htaccess file from firewall rules, to complex redirects. I’m not sure if that would be a major concern when moving to another host that uses nginx. Most likely, it will require to translate those rules to nginx
As for Kinsta, I read great reviews about their services. I think that by moving to Kinsta, I should be able to:
Get higher speeds and better performance using the Google cloud servers
Ability to switch plans using a click of a button, as opposed to do migrations from shared hosting to cloud to dedicated if I were to stay with SG
They proactively address any issues with the website if it goes down, even if I wasn’t aware of it
They would clean any malware free of charge
My potential concerns of using Kinsta:
They created their own control panel. It might be easier to navigate using their own Dashboard, but with customized solutions, it would make it harder to migrate to new hosts, should it be needed (as opposed to using the standardized cPanel, where each host would have no problem to perform the migration). I am also not sure if they sacrificed some of the features that are available in cPanel, such as access to the File Manager, and to phpmyadmin. And whether their backups can be used if I switch to another hosting provider.
I’m not sure if that would be an issue, but I would need to translate all my rules in the htaccess to work under nginx. Perhaps they will be able to help with that
Considering all of the above, what option do you recommend to go with. Anyone here has experience with either Kinsta or SiteGround cloud plans. It would be great if you could share your experiences and recommendations. Thanks!
