That on-the-lower-side rating on IMDB kinda makes sense to me now. :/ I mostly checked this one out because it was recommended by one of my fave horror reviewers and I was curious. The poster was pretty eye-grabbing as well. The concept is scary enough for someone like me who hates the dark and being stuck in a tunnel underground. Now, it's a found footage format movie, which isn't everyone's cup of tea, but I actually find that style quite effective when done right. And it does work here in the tunnel portions mostly. I think what threw me off though is that they already show us who the survivors are by having it cut to them occasionally in an interview with a different film crew. There's a very small group of people (4) going on this little journey down the tunnel so we already who isn't making it and that kinda felt pointless for me in a horror movie. It took away the tension almost immediately. It didn't feel particularly original story-wise either so at least some suspense would have been nice. I don't know I don't think it was totally bad but this was more an average kinda watch at the end of the day imo. So, keep your expectations low and maybe you'll like it? I don't know.
