“Not sour, no, but there was a melancholy to Prince Rhaegar, a sense […] of doom. He was born in grief, my queen, and that shadow hung over him all his days.”

Lyanna starks haunts the narrative. You should see how jealous Elia's fans are from this fact. They want george and the narrative to care for her. They think it's unfair that Elia doesn't haunt it too when all that she is is a plot device, while lyanna is the woman of the prophecy and the mother of Jon, the promised one. It's not like I hate Elia, but someone dared to say that Elia deserved the flower crown at Harrenhall when it's lyanna's motif.
I can't wait until they see that even Arthur Dayne cared for lyanna more. He probably stayed by her side comforting her after Rhaegar's death. I wouldn't be surprised if he was attracted to her. Not to hate on Elia but to show them the truth.
i'm so sorry but you've come to the wrong place, yes i was crying over lyanna a couple hours ago but i've cried over elia too because what could you possibly have against a dead woman in asoiaf who's only crime was... being in an arranged marriage? not being lyanna?
in all seriousness maybe george and the narrative don't care about elia but i do. she watched her baby's head be caved in and then was brutally raped and murdered and i hate that that's the most important thing we know about her. i wish elia was as important as lyanna, but how cruel is it to sit and compare two dead women by how much they matter to the living men.
also i have no idea what you're talking about arthur dayne and you can say this isn't hating, but it feels kinda like hating to me 😭
EDIT: i've thought about it more and "i wouldnt be surprised if he was attracted to her. not to hate on elia but to show them the truth" is such a wild statement please don't come back 😭

An event from ASOIAF that I think about a lot is the r*pe and murder of Elia Martell and her children. People try to justify Rhaegar’s actions by saying that it was for prophecy. But honestly fuck prophecy. He did nothing to protect Elia and their children. He just left them to be with a minor for over a year. If Rhaegar really cared about his children and prophecy, he would’ve just knocked up a woman from the north because Rhaegar, himself, already had first men blood. I believe that there still would’ve been an event with Daenerys hatching dragons without Rhaegar trying to “fulfill prophecy”.
I also believe that Rhaegar manipulated Lyanna into the marriage. HOWEVER, why would you ever want to be the other woman? Like I get she was young, naive, and didn’t like Robert, but get over it. I knew, at 16, how wrong it is to be the other woman and how wrong it is to cheat. So honestly, I hate both Rhaegar and Lyanna.

Lyanna Stark does not represent feminism
Stop this shit in the name of feminism. This is truly insulting. Feminism doesn't mean hating your femininity, being a warrior, or act selfishly. Just wearing pants doesn't make you a feminist. The first clause in feminism is to have the ability to choose and to respect and appreciate all women. A feminist woman feels for other women, so she won't run away with Someone's husband Just because of love. Do not spread your hatred towards women. Like Elia Martell, Catelyn Stark and Alicent Hightower, just because they decided to do their duty.

Robb is like Lyanna Stark in the sense that he is also the dead girl that changes the course of the narrative. He also is the good and honarable lady that we'll only know by the eyes of other people: the good sister, the noble daughter, he's also seen as this tragic martyr that was played as a pawn in the game by the canon caracteres and as this lovesick immature teen that ruined his life because of love by the audience.
They're both the stopim of a war, they're both betrothed to people they don't love, they're the good, kind, honored, admirable poor souls that got crushed by life. We will never truly know Lyanna or Robb as characters, they're forever frozen in time and are only loved because of memories of the ones that have loved them in the past
