I'm going to straight up and say the only oc of mine worse than Andy for F would be Kai. I cannot concept how it would or could happen. Farah is so MUCH in Kai's opinion: too loud, too bright, too childish and impatient, too refusing to get the sign to back off [in his opinion]. And I think Farah would be less endeared with Kai's NINETEEN PERCENT of people skills at the start of book 3 [and I think it gets worse].

I don't recall what Sera said F's stats are but I bet the way Kai leans heavily blue, Farah leans heavily red.

farah would be the opposite! and it would just ... wertyujtres lmao. THOUGH I think the only MAYBE way it COULD happen would be because - funnily enough - because Mason. I could see Mason telling Kai to like ... chill. Kai isnt cruel but he is dismissive and at times too blunt; he prefers being straight-forward. If there options for him to shut down F in the story, he would take each and every one 34ertyrew /sobs. I think it would be a combination of Mason and ... I believe it was @/sewellheart who made a great point of the difference between Tina and F. Farah DOES know how to chill and can do her work, and is quite good at what she does. I think a combination of a few cases and the fact that his bff is basically her family ... might help.

Farah: You don't like me, do you? Kai: Nope. But I feel it would be a stretch to get there. Not IMPOSSIBLE [but nothing is impossible especially if i have a will is hall find a way! to do it icly too] But arguably a headache .... tho negl. I do think it could be cute. But I'm a sucker for cold/sunshine, grumpy/sunshine, stoic/sunshine and Kai is all three erew ROFLMAO.

And then from there it would go.

Kendis and Leon.

I put Kotsam and forgetting it's been a while since I played it lol. Like some dynamics are super clear and others ...

I think they could have fun. Kendis and Cyrus started on dislike, to wariness and respect, to being obsessed with each other ... no i joke. sorta. Leon for all his ego is infinitely chiller than the twins. I think Kendis and Leon would be catty but in a teasing, bratty kind of way -- they both like to have fun and they both are into fashion. I could see them being shopping buddies. The thing is Leon would have not to play games -- I remember what peaked Kendis' interest in Cyrus wa shim being like 'yo, dont get mixed up in cressy and leon's nonsense'. [wont go into the WHY, bc this aint about them. goodness! @ me lol.] And Kendis doesnt have patience for machinations; they dislike politics and double-speak and teen kendis is worst lol. Leon can also get pouty. So, if he can withstand them being like 'yo'.

I think they could maybe work. What Leon desires is someone on his side and Kendis is so that type and Kendis would want someone who sees them, who would choose her ... and I feel Leon can be that. If I remember his big romantic declaration correctly lol.

I can actually see them sorta like Astrid and Leon but .... less lol. And without the animosity. I could see them like fighting for the last dessert or something and squabbling and then even as theyre doing so theyre making room for the other.

Alana and Orion.

Orion would probably be the best person Alana has ever dated in her life. I think it could work just because Alana is VERY romantic and is a piner. lol. So, she could set for the long hall. He might prick at her heart with his seeming indifference but she has dealt through worst!! I think they would be so gross. LOL. I mean it's weird for me to think about, maybe i'd feel less so if I actually played it. And something tells me they would have foolish moments of misunderstandings made worse bc of the show ... but if they got past that? They would be so gross. Alana is very much DC's 'Cater 2 You' and Orion likes to dote. Just vomit. But in a way you cant fully be MAD about it bc its just lovely to see how into each other they are. Plus he would respect how diligent she is.

Marin:

Besties with Farah, close friends with Ava (they know Nat and Ava are best friends, and it’s important to them that they have a good relationship with Ava too). Morgan is the one they’re least close with—still friends, but not as intense. (She intimidated them a lot in the beginning.)

Bobby is Marin’s ex-wife (their marriage was very brief, and they eloped when they were a lot younger. It was messy.) There’s a lot of animosity between the two of them now.

They have a huge soft spot for Douglas. They see a lot of themself in him, when it comes to him and his dad. They should be more firm, but they just don’t have the heart to!

Tina is Marin’s other best friend. They do lots of movie nights, especially once Marin leaves Wayhaven PD; they miss not getting to see her at work every day. Tina knows about the supernatural :)

Verda is someone Marin looks to as a sort-of parental figure. I don’t remember his canon age, but in their story he’s quite a bit older than they are and he’s good at helping them talk things out when they need it. They love to babysit his kiddos when he needs a night out with Eric, haha. The girls call them their aunt/uncle Mari, depending on which term the girls feel like using at the time. (Marin likes both.)

Kai’s story isn’t as fleshed out yet, but I have this so far:

She and Farah are also close friends, but she’s closer with Morgan. Morgan is a woman of few words and keeps to herself, which helps Kai whenever she gets too stuck in her head; sometimes it’s nice to be able to just be quiet with someone for a while with no worries about having to fill the space with conversation. She respects Ava a lot, but they aren’t quite friends; not yet. She hasn’t had much of a chance to spend time with her so far.

She’s also a lot softer with Douglas than she should be, mostly because she doesn’t know how to put her foot down. Sternness doesn’t suit her 😔

She and Bobby dated when they were in collage, and it went badly. She avoids Bobby now whenever she can… which isn’t very often. Thankfully, Tina and Verda are there to chase her off whenever they need to, lol.

Speaking of, she’s closer to Verda than Tina—they like to get coffee together whenever they can. He’s someone with a good head on his shoulders most of the time. She’s friends with Tina too, but sometimes her energy can be a little bit much. Kai can handle it better in small doses, lol. Like occasional drinks after work.

Verda is the one Kai leaked the truth to! She felt horrible about of afterward but the stress was eating her alive!

May/Coulson and Klaus/Hayley for the meme?

May and Coulson. Coulson and May. I -- . Wow. I haven’t thought hard about them in a long time. But I still have the feelings for them. I really wanted them to be a thing once. I loved May and Andrew. (I even May/Andrew/Coulson, May/Fury/Coulson). But I felt May should get the dude. Honestly, I shipped it more because I wanted May to have a happy ending and Phil just heart eyes at her breathing (even though sometimes he’s a SHIT. And I remember moments where I was displeased). But when I learned of their backstory? They are so entrenched in each other yet have come so far AND YET still have so far to go. And you don’t get to see that in an older couple. You don’t get to see that in a couple period.

It kind of makes that slow burn worth it. So, yeah, I still enjoy them and hope those two kids end up together -- even if I’m not AS invested.

Klaus and Hayley. I’m going to use the words ENTRENCHED AGAIN. Am I just lacking a thesaurus or do I have a type?

Both.

I don’t think at their end - not that I watched it - I could ship Klaus and Hayley. But people who think they didn’t love each other (or more importantly because this fandom was up his ass -- Klaus didn’t love her), are full of caca. These two mirrored each other so deliberately. Hayley’s words during their fight in front of Hope, still gets me. The desire to better parents -- a better family -- than what they had. They understood each other, for better and for worse. 

And that understanding led to both respect as well as the ability to know how to really hurt each other. Yet at the end, they were Mikaelsons. I really love how genuinely (both for better and for worse) Hayley became a part of that. Not because of Elijah. Not just because of Hope. But because of a dynamic built. I think they would have been interesting as an official couple, I don’t know how they would have lasted. But I would have LOVED to see them centuries down the road as contented (”contented”) exes. Their vibe was such a good vibe to me. Even when I detested them both -- which, could be often. The show AND the fandom undersold it.

Those are mostly my faves too 😁. Yeah, that is fair re: the pod people. I didnt watch the episode, I probably have some distance from it. Though I dont believe Iz did it, it annoys me they helped a murderer get awat and I wanted Kyle and Liz angry for longer.

NM (I never watched the original), which, between the gifs in my dash and a freind’s recommendation, I caught up with during this week xDD my faves are Rosa and Kyle, and I also like Maria, Liz and Alex. and like I said, kyliz, kylex and Maria/Michael. except for Michael when he interacts with Maria (or sometimes Alex or Liz), I’m unbearably unimpressed with the pod people, which is my only sore spot with the show (I HATE that they’re getting away with what they did to Rosa. HATE IT), but otherwise I really liked it (and I hated when I caught up because I needed more episodes lol).

Andy does not like Felix. And Felix tries -- in my mind. Because parts of Andy reminds him of Nate and Adam. I think .... though this would have to be two ways: Felix coming MUCH earlier and he meets a younger Andy. But an early 20s Andy would probs be why Felix his complex, because I don't see them becoming friends with Andy the way he was at that age. He was more brash and more outwardly Andy. The best Andy would be Teen Andy, so Felix would have to come earlier AND younger. The other POSSIBLE option is book 4, that talk about Felix's mom. They could bond about legacy, responsibilities, and loving their mom. I feel that conversation did serve to ... lessen Andy's dislke of Felix's personality. I think bc he got to see a different side? I'm sure he saw shadows .... when he bothered to look, but it wasn't enough to draw him in. It would be so snail paced. But it would be friends to lovers. I feel the vibe ... actually it makes me think of @/delucadarling fanfic. That Farah teasing Adam and Adam pretending to be unaffected but will tear at anyone that made Farah so much as sniffle? Yeah. But Felix would have to be determined to go through despite knowing how much it would hurt. I think Andy, if he wasnt the detective would skip town in hopes Felix would move on because he really would hate being one of those who hurt him. BUT he also treats Felix as an adult, because he is. As protective as this Andy would be, he would be clear -- he'd be constantly telling felix he is NOT a good person. A mess really.

Ori and Orion.

Goodness. I think it would heavily press on Ori's insecurities because Ori is a goof and Orion is very serious and expects so somuch. And he would always feel like he's fucking up. But Ori would take things seriously, and Orion would appreciate that. I think Orion would have a softer approach for Ori as they got to know each other and find him funny - despite himself. He'd also let Ori know he wasnt a fuck up. 'Mr. Zhou doe snot know how to react -- awkward crab walk out the room' moment. Alternatively, I think Ori would be good for Orion. Get him to just be SILLY and have FUN. I think they would balance each other and be just the person to defend the other against those who have hurt them/be there for the other in the aftermath of that.

It would have nicks and bumps and bruises along the way but it might well be worth it. It certainly wouldn't be ANDY AND FELIX.

Kendis and Halsin.

It could work actually. But it would be a rough start. Mostly because Kendis' pride roflmao. Fun fact, neither of my druids like Halsin. I don't remember why entirely -- but I do know Kendis COULD mellow out with time. Probably because of the shadowlands arc, his regrets, how he is about thaniel, his trauma. His anger. The thing is earlier, I recall Halsin says something snippy ... or in a sorta dismissve/condescending tone and Kendis bristles -- bc first of all how dare you, second of all that legit wasnt how they ment it!

I would love to say it would just be a matter of Halsin not saying the wrong thing or I guess Kendis not scratching up against snarky Halsin but .... how long could either of them avoid that? I don't know if it would last though .... Kendis finds him too moralistic -- and that kicks up a few other problems lol.

For a mismatched ship! Do you think KOTSAM Kendis and Talia could work?

I THINK SO. It has been such a long time since I played KOTSAM and KODAN. It is funny, I knew they would get along but I felt that Thalia would think that she was too edgy for Kendis/that Kendis wasn't edgy enough ... and lo and behold: You know how to live on the edge—with a little prompting. lol.

Thalia is a bit of a shit stirrer but she's super loyal, if I remember correctly. And that would matter to Kendis. I feel Kendis might even find Thalia a bit TOO hype, but I think they would have lots of fun together [to Leon's constant headache and Astrid's fretting]. Thalia also seems chill enough that she could deal with Kendis' hang ups but I don't know if they'd be TOO annoying for her? But she seems very easy going, so maybe not. They have some PRICKLY suitemates and she doens't let that fuss her. So they could gel.

The thing that gets me is that Kendis would have to be the impulse control in the relationship. ROFLMAO. And this is Kendis at 19. I mean it could happen.

It wouldn't be impossible. But I don't think it would be at most people's level of 'control'.

Okay. So. Fun fact. Alana probably was the biggest of my lot that was G Reigns' fan. [I mean maybe not the biggest ... Ori and Hiyam are up there, but she was A FAN!] But then Griffin being themselves and Alana being a sweet, hard working, lamby pie .... yeah. The stars are starting to fall.

And I feel the placement of Vic [a fellow rosy-coded romantic scorned by love ... you see where this is going?] searching for help might further sour Alana to Griffin. Thinking on it, I would have to play it to be sure, but I feel Alana might very well be the one of mine to more likely split up ValenReign by stealing Griffin's woman 23werwer

Which is funny because Alana doesn't realize she is quite bi yet. She's dated men. She knows she loves fem!Seven because Seven is SEVEN and of course she will always love Seven and -- oh. Okay. But Victoria is different. So it would be such a mess between the self-discovery and the adultery ... okay, maybe not so funny. At all.

So, it could happen but I don't think it could work. In the sense that Alana, would be miserable in such a circumstance [I THINK. But then she's SUCH a fool for love that maybe she wouldn't? Maybe it woudl be worth it?]. But she would convince herself she was happy. Because Victoria WOULD choose her if she could.

What is needed is for Alana to see what a sad sack G really is .... than maybe. It woudl be bumpier because Alana is determined to stay away from dude's like G. Who are heartbreakers qwerwq ... so. ROFLMAO. Though as much as I don't very often play adultery routes -to each their own - I sorta like this bc Alana is the princess often, the home-maker type. Like very ~Cater2U~. But that tendency to bend backwards for love would make her the knight here, the home-wrecker.

... dang after this nothing I say about Josnel and August could hold up. Like this is wild. I am really tempted to give it a shot. BUT I SHOULDNT. I dont need more circulation for infamous. No more pinboards! [Funnily I figured if it wasnt Seven it would be August for Alana.]

But sigh. Okay. Josnel and August. This would be another gender dating exploration, because I don't think Jose has ever dated someone who identified as non-binary. To be fair I don't think he's dated a lot of men either .... it's been Seven.

This would be so interesting. My appeal for Seb [it was originally Orion] was because how different he was from Seven but also how NORMAL he was. So, I think August's desire to be in a band AND his political parents would sort of be a rub ... for Josnel. Like a bad rub. Because he doesn't really want this long term, at this point.

I do think they could be a sweet couple. Particularly feel August as an unexpected sorta sweep you off your feet, understated way, that would really keep on catching Josnel off guard. Especially because, for some reason, in his mind he sees August as a Younger. LOL. So there woudl also be THAT to get over.

So, I do think they would be lovely and I am just GRINNING pondering it. I feel it would be better in a world where the only hang ups were like perception [mostly Jose's] and not like ... careers. Because that's different. And strangely more difficult in this case.

Winterfalcon for the ot3 meme?

 One used to be Steve so hard. I have gotten a little bitter. I still enjoy them in theory (especially with Nat as my ot4). I don’t read them as much anymore, though. (TBF, I barely read ANY Marvel fic these days). But I used to love the three of them so much. The balance of senses of humor (the flirt teasing of SamSteve, the escalation and hardcore ‘I hate you’ of SamBucky, Bucky and Steve getting to know how to make each other laugh again ‘You’re taking all the stupid with you’. Them finding their groove together), the balance of traumas. The various ways they connected to each other was all so potentially beautiful. I’ll forever remain mad about Civil War. We should have gotten MORE of them.

Nat. I just love Nat and Sam’s flirty energy so hard. There is something about Nat and Sam and Bucky that is warmly comfortable in a way that’s different than All Caps, and that is somehow weirdly easier, even with Bucky and Nat’s (comics) history and Nat having really ever been a civilian ... or fucking dated in any sense we would define dating. I feel there is more equal footing. I feel often in fic (other than the hot pwp) there is more obscure teasing, like in the sense their jokes can be odd and just vibe with each other. I don’t know how to describe it. Maybe because it’s the lack of expectations.

Sharon, potentially.

Rhodey. I love James/James a lot. And I enjoy Sam/Rhodey. 

Thor because I luff him. Honestly, I am a multishipper and I love polyam dynamics and seeing what can be brought to a pair/the table with the addition of someone else. The communication, exploring the love, the ups, and downs. So I would be down for anyone that wasn't someone I could not stand (or, I hope this goes without saying, underage). Like I read a Maria/Sam/Bucky fic before - more than one - and I liked it!

Harry/Luna, Maria/Kyle, and whatever your three fave Black Sails ships are (I'm pondering whether to start it...)

Harry/Luna: A+. They’re my biggest “canon” ship for Harry (I guess outside of Ron ... fine biggest canon het ship.) I have grown to appreciate Hinny. But I feel Harry and Luna fit together in a way that was fun, interesting, and would have lead to interesting growth for both of them. The thing that I am about. Also, I just love that she got him and made him smile. While he just genuinely loved her company. I feel them falling in love would have been the cutest.

Maria/Kyle: B. If all things were equal, they would be otp. Status. But I’m looking for ships that give my babes screen time. And they are not it for each other. However, if you were to talk just fic-wise? I think I could see them being an A. The majority of their appeal is they are my faves, they are the best, and I would dig them making out. I’ve read some really good fic about them that makes me wish there were more because I feel them being the two still hanging around Roswell, forming a bond, would be so intriguing to me -- especially with their HS history. 

I have THREE Black Sails ships. ROFL. In this economy?

Max/Anne: A+ They are without a doubt my biggest ship in the show and for each other. I feel my ardor has cooled as time has gone on. But I still stick to them out of fondness and sheer stubbornness (ie, fandom sucks lmao). The things that they have gone through both positively and negatively for and because of each other. The strength and home they found together. The really bad ass image of the queen and her berserker. All about that hype.

Flint/Miranda: Run the gamut of A - C depending on my mood and their moments. LMAO. But I think that’s their appeal to me. They’re so messy, yet complex, yet direct -- in a sense. I would say they’re a solid A for me. Again my biggest ship for the other (though I love their ot3. And Madi/Flint is one of my favorite parts of Madi/Flint/Silver). It’s so fucked up yet so ... I don’t want to say pure. But I do genuinely believe that even with the pain, the machinations, the bodily presence of Thomas’ ghost, they kept each other afloat. Heck, the show says as much. And it. I wish the show had done Miranda better. Because I feel it would have elevated them more. But I have a lot of feelings about them.

This is hard .... I relatively want to say Jack/Max: They are probably high key my favorite nonromantic dynamic. Or just up there (because I am in love with Max/Silver and Madi/Flint. And I have Flint/Silver feels. Idele/Max. Is just. So much). But I will never let Toby’s quote go: He loves her. I do think these two genuinely do care about each other as much as they wanted to strangle each other and it wasn’t all about Anne -- though sh was their lynch pin. It’s an A/B+ for me. 

You should also watch Black Sails. Season one is rocky and there are some genuinely upsetting things there. I do think they could have done soooo much better writ their black and their women characters, especially given the effort they put in other things. It isn’t without its flaws. But I see it like the Leverage of that type (Outlander, GOT, etc.).  It is leagues beyond the shows of it’s type ... and most shows period. BUT BECAUSE OF THIS, you can’t always get honest discourse from the fandom about how it erred.  I would tell you to watch for Max alone. I feel Flint MIGHT be your type. But Silver could be a surprising dark horse for you.
