saying "just use an emulator" about console games also feels really stupid to me because the whole appeal is the console. sure maybe i could find a switch emulator that Nintendo hasn't struck down but i can't take that on a train with me and it won't have the same controls. i would rather Nintendo just not charge me half a month's rent for that either

no literally. like i understand and agree piracy is preservation we need piracy to continue to keep what would otherwise be dead media in motion. it isnt a thing against piracy. but emulation is also not the answer every single time when criticizing company's bad policies or pricing points. emulation does preserve games and its important technology for when a console enters the end of its life cycle and it becomes more expensive to maintain the upkeep of that console than it is to get a pc that can run its content functionally. im sooo frustrated with the state of modern gaming that any criticisms of legal ways to acquire the games is met with piracy, notably something you should not be loud about to companies you are pirating from. when working in areas deemed "illegal" many people tend to keep on the downlow to avoid attracting attention. this is for good reason and is fair as a method of avoiding scrutiny or punishment. anyway do you all remember when xbox came out with mandatory internet enabled or it wouldnt run? and the backlash was so bad they reverted that? yeah. i think consumers need to do backlash like that again.

i live under a rock can u explain that movie post-

yeah the post is saying conclave (my favorite movie of the year, a more lowkey political thriller that is genuinely so fun when you sit down to watch it) is boring and unwatchable. it's not for everybody! (it is constantly religious & very blunt about it). and saying that emilia perez is better because its less boring. emilia perez is a musical about a transgender former drug cartel member. it is a french movie. the director cannot speak spanish. the lead actress has dozens of tweets being incredibly racist & xenophobic to latin americans (she is a spaniard). its also just incredibly bioessentialist. many people really hate emilia perez for these reasons. but also because it got nominated for 13 oscars (the most any movie has ever been nominated was the titanic & lalaland with 14. this is an insane amount of nominations.) and literally no one can figure out how or why they got that many. because of this it made the hatred for the movie even bigger. aside from that the EP lead actress got into an internet war by accusing the lead actress of brazilian movie "I'm Still Here" for sending hate to her & Emilia Perez. Sidenote nobody talks about it but emilia perez also somehow still had zionist propaganda & pinkwashing in it with them going to tel aviv to try to find a surgeon for emilia's transition like this movie is crazy in a baddd way. this is also doubly insulting after conclave had genuine & thoughtful (at least to me) writing of an intersex character.

dude it’s going! slowly but surely. it’s a pain to not publish now while I write- which I know is what some people do- but I really want to finish the whole script before I start uploading episodes so I can get everything right and add all the fun details and foreshadowing I want to add.
