Well! I really wanted to draw at least once a week this year, and whilst I didn't necessarily manage that, I did do more art than last year (having finished a sketchbook and half-filled another on top of my digital art), I finally did figure drawing and forced myself to experiment more. I am really happy I finished the piece of Shambhala and the one of Dana. Hopefully I can keep this up for next year!

I'm not 100% set on the palette but quick little page for Byron, an ex-witch hunter turned mercenary currently employed by the Syndicate.

The Syndicate is very proud of their medical capabilities, and the vast majority of that comes down to one woman: Daniela de Galo. Acerbic and snappy, her attitude hides her complete devotion to caring for others. Her 'affliction' as an undead revenant means she can commit to many, many sleepless nights before collapsing; something that has happened often.

Despite Dana being one of my older fav character, I haven't drawn her since 2018 (!!?!?!). If you're curious, here's the comparison.

Oc-tober drawing challenge, day 2! This one is new oc, so I went with a very new one, Oku Aya. Oku is part of Kasaiwari's shinobi. He's also known as 'the spider' for his illusion magic and his tendency to trap victims inside their own homes, which he transforms into labyrinths. His colour palette is based on the female joro spider!

I'm attemptin b-weird's October challenge! I have never done any month long art challenges before so this will be interesting.

Day 1 is fav oc! Now, I have over 200 ocs so I have a lot of favs. There were a few of the more obvious choices- who I'm sure I'll end up drawing later, like Rho or Banshee. I went with Killian de Damascena, the Grand Duke of the Great Noble House of Damask Rose.

Killian is really special to me as I first made him during a really bad depressive episode. The only reason I got up (at 3pm, mind) was to write him, and that went on for about a month.

Representing that in a few ways, his plotline has had him go from the exiled heir of his house seething with bitterness and pain to overthrowing his father and learning real compassion and mercy.

Unfortunately, the results of that haven't been ideal. You can ask @tacticalbooty on how well it went when he tried to 'rescue' Malachai. Still, Killian has come a long way and it was really fun to give him his present day look, so to speak.

Fun fact, the hands corrolate to family members! His grandfather, Didier, is the hand on his head, a strong hand pulling it backwards. The hand covering his eye is Soroka, his granduncle, hiding the truth from him. The hand on his chest is his father, Solovei, forcing the same feelings he once felt onto his son. The hands on his arms are Anastasia's, his grandmother, partially comforting but distant, holding him back.

I don't really do furry art or anything like that but Shiki is a qirin so. A bit of an experiment!

Bit of an intimidating figure, isn't he? Sticks out like a sore thumb. I heard he's got that northern god's powers or something. What? Nah, that's a rumour. He's just a powerful mage, that's all. You know how mages like lying. If he's a mage, why's he in that sentinel paladin armour shit? Shut up, he'll hear you!

Here's my yearly roundup, with each oc's name scribbled on in case you want to know who each weirdo is! I've tried very hard to push myself this year, draw more full bodies and experimenting some more with my style. Next year's goal is expressions, something I am not great at.

It's hard to say which is my favourite here: Nova's piece is simple but I had great fun on his injuries, I idly worked on the Future piece for a long time, tweaking her design, I like the Rose vs Zima one because it actually came out very close to the idea in my head. I think, though, I'l go with the one of Arianrhodes, because he looks ridiculously handsome. Which was my intent.
