Recently I made a mistake. A boo boo if you will. I didn’t listen to my gut, and here I am now about to confess, feeling a little embarrassed I may add! So recently I released the “tarantula hawk wasp” piece. Now I always do research and look up insects natural environments when making pieces, and I noticed something seemed off, as all the specimens I saw lacked the yellow strip across the thorax, well, it turns out my supplier had sent me Vespa tropica hornets instead, which is actually a predator of other wasps! But I was so flummoxed with getting things done for the update I didn’t persue it at the time. I also thought it was a little funny that the original post got quite a lot of attention but no one noticed or second guessed it either 😅 anyway, So on a better note, I now have preorders of ACTUAL tarantula hawk wasps available on the website, as well as some megascolia velutina ducais giant iridescent black wasps, and some Vespa greater banded hornets! For the time being I only have a set amount of each available.
