In terms of buildcrafting Destiny 2 is definitely like. In the best spot it's been. Every subclass feels strong in its own ways. But the removal of crafting for seasonal weapons has been genuinely devastating. No more re-crafting to see what works, I'm just like. Saving up rolls I will likely never use after getting the one or two rolls I want. It IS nice that I'm getting like 3-4 chances per Nether run for a Refusal of the Call drop. But it still took me a good 10 hours total of just doing Nether and Court to get the roll I wanted, and I ended up getting it when I wasn't even focusing on it. I understand why crafting should have certain limitations but I also think seasonal weapons that will go away by the end of the year and will only have a hyper-specific drop source NEED to have patterns. And I also finally got a Repulsor/Destabilizing Gridskipper after 15 TONICS!!! JUST GIVE ME A PATTERN AT THAT POINT!!!

I think moving Eliksni into the city might have some negative reactions. People might jump them, might call them slurs, some weapon companies might refuse to sell them items out of fear. Who knows, there might be some police brutality assuming there are police.

Maybe he fact Eliksni used to eat human children and their own children will spread around and people as a result will refuse to let kids play with them. (I half expect Saint-14 to be tense seeing Fallen around kids because of trauma from failing to protect a village.)

I think it'd be good writing for this stuff to occur. I don't hate Eliksni but others do. People in the City might. That's natural. Good writing includes consequences. But what do you think?

That’s exactly what’s happening. 

Borrowed Time recounts Drifter stopping an all-out bar fight between Eliksni and humans (and the Eliksni detail the rumours about children-eating).

Gridskipper tells of a civilian in the city seemingly suffering from nightmares about Eliksni breaking into his house and increased paranoia.

Riiswalker is a short look into humans literally abusing and almost murdering an innocent Eliksni in the street, as well as said Eliksni running away in fear after being saved by a Guardian who used Stasis (trauma from Eramis).

Shattered Cipher is about a human who very obviously murdered an Eliksni civilian and is trying to cover it up.

There’s more but the writing so far definitely includes consequences. 

The Eliksni in Borrowed Time lore do say that they never ate human children (though obviously we know they can’t be speaking in the name of every single Eliksni) but they do admit that they ate our dead. Drifter is understanding about this, but that’s Drifter. I personally agree with Drifter on this issue.

Saint has so far been flip-floping between agreeing with Mithrax because there’s bigger threats (Vex), but also very adamantly expressing his displeasure about the whole thing. I’m sure he’ll relax as time goes on. It’s a good sign that he agreed to work with Mithrax in the first place and to oversee the Eliksni settlement. But he does have some harsh words:

Mithrax does not respond to this. How can he? Saint is very emotional here and he is right to have these feelings after all that he has seen.

And of course we have Lakshmi who is very adamant about the Eliksni being a threat in the future. And we have others like Ikora, Osiris, Amanda, Crow and civilians being accepting and understanding. 

Bungie did a great job introducing the nuance of the budding alliance with the Eliksni. Not everyone will be accepting, not right away. Some people not ever, I presume.

All your facial imperfections seem magnified. This might be the only reason I don't mind winter.Įver had one of those days where you wake up, look in the mirror, and go "ugh"? You feel worn and exhausted. The temperature is cool, the wind is cold and minty. Winter has that perpetual morning freshness. I identify the smell and all of a sudden I see him/her doing his/her morning getting dressed routine and all of a sudden I feel like I know them. Palmolive honey, Pleasures for men, Davidoff Cool Waters, Loreal Wet Look Moose, Johnson's Baby Cologne, Axe for men and sometimes I even smell the peppermint freshness of mouthwash! (Yes, I have a super sensitive nose). When I get into the metro, I'm so busy identifying smells I can't concentrate on the newspaper I have to read. I have an 8:30am class to teach every morning. There is nothing more momentarily pleasurable than someone walk past you and you get a fresh whiff of perfume, cologne, soap, cream, or even hair gel. Has anyone realized how good people smell in winter? I'm a sucker for people who smell good. Much needed conclusive note: Come January and it's going to be crazy again, so sit down and enjoy every morsel of that molten-chocolate-whipped-cream cake. Even if they don't have any concrete achievements to justify hours of absolute lethargy. I feel guilty like I have no right to take time off. It's great to have these days but it's hard to really enjoy them when you don't have a proper job. This week (and I presume the next one too) has seen me relieving my year's nonsensical preoccupations (what am I doing with my life, why am I in Spain, I have a white hair (!), when am I going to clean the cobwebs in my room, etc etc) by eating full-fat food and dessert, nonstop. If there is anyone out there who is not pigging out this festive season, still exercising and therefore still looking great in tight jeans, how do you do it!? How do you resist indulging in sweet and savory delights put in front of you, begging to be eaten? Answer: you don't. Thank you and cheers to all those people who have been reading my blog. The song was originally composed for "The Doll Underground", one of the many popular Eon McKai alt-pornography films. Though sharing little with it musically, the track (and it's sister track, Verkalerte) were inspired by the work of composer Arnold Schoenberg.
