The Road So Far…

The beginning of Santae’s Alpha test on May 12th, was the start of an incredible journey. In the weeks since then, we’ve enriched the game with dozens of regular updates and exciting new features.

Here is just a taste of what we’ve added to enhance your experience on Santae:

New pet species

On Santae, mystical pets are your adventuring companions. There are plenty to choose from, and many more species on the way! Over the course of Alpha, we released 5 brand new pet species for Santarians to befriend. We’ve also increased the amount of pet friends you can add to your adventure party to 10 when you start!

The adorable moth-like Nochturn is ready to join any Santarian’s adventuring party as soon as they join the site. Brave adventurers who journey to the Lava Caves of the Flamefall Cascades can find the draconic Harlowin and fearsome Grusim. The elegant Drava can be found at traveling merchant Vespera’s exclusive shop. And finally, the friendly Quibbit evolves from its tadpole-like Minimal form.

No matter your style, you can customize your pet companions on Santae with the help of magical shimmer dust!

We announced FOUR exciting new pet colors over the course of Alpha, with more to come in Beta and beyond. Will your pet let its true colors shine with the beautiful Prismatic shimmer dust? Exciting New Site Features

The world of Santae is rich with opportunities to explore, gather, and discover. During the site’s Alpha phase, we’ve unlocked engaging on-site mini-games that bring you and your pets all across the vibrant world of Santae.

Send your pets Gathering at locations across Santae and they will bring back exciting items to share with you! Your pet might bring you a magical rune from the mysterious Stormforge Caverns, gather useful plants from the Ancient Grove, or maybe even discover an egg that can hatch into another pet at the volcanic pools of Ember Springs. You can also direct your pet to pluck rare berries from the Great Berry Tree!

When your pets go Fishing at the sunny Solar Sands – or in any gathering location across Santae – there’s no telling what they might find at the other end of the line. You might reel in a delicious fish, an eel that can join your pet as its Minimal companion, a piece of useful equipment that only needs a small repair, and so much more. More discoveries in the depths of the waters around Santae are sure to come.

If you want to tame wild Minimals, go visit Silvershade’s Ranch in the Lani Archipelago! They will send you out into the wild to catch and tame a Minimal through an interactive Herding mini-game. Bring berries, toys, and plushies to tempt and distract the Minimal as you and your pet cooperate to befriend it.

A Dynamic World

Santae’s sunny days and mysterious nights each hold their own mysteries to explore, watch as the clouds move while you play, and every hour on the hour you can watch the transition to day/night. As the world cycles between states every hour, you and your pets have the chance to make exciting new discoveries!

Visiting the Lava Caves in the dark of night will bring you face to face with the opportunity to tame a fearsome Grusim – but during the light of day, the Grusim retreats. While the sun shines over the Lava Caves, you can instead bring your Harlowin egg there to hatch into a new companion.

Exciting Events

The most important ingredient in the world of Santae is you: The community!

Over the course of THREE exciting events, our Alpha Testers have been able to participate in and shape the future of the game’s world. Together, we’ve discovered new Minimals, locations, and even new pet species.

The Goopper Swarm

Mysterious slug-like Minimals swarmed Gathering locations all across Santae, prompting adventurers everywhere to collect them in an attempt to learn more.

By collecting the Gooppers and discovering their source, Santarians discovered a brand-new location: The Goopper Grotto. This tranquil forest clearing holds an amazing secret: When you bring a Goopper there alongside certain powerfully magical items, the Minimal will transform!

The Mourning Grusim

By following the traces of an ancient legend, adventurers learned of a mythical creature lurking deep within the Lava Caves.

Together, Santarians discovered sanDust: A secondary currency earned through site activities. This magical dust proved to be the secret to calming the ferocious ancient beast within the caves. By working together to collect sanDust, the community unlocked the ability to tame and adopt the Grusim for everyone!

The Quibbit Cove

When Santarians began to discover mysterious eggs around the site, they banded together to collect them and learn more about them. Together, we learned how to hatch Quibbspawn eggs into a brand-new Minimal: The Quibblet!

But the Quibblet was no ordinary Minimal. More ancient clues pointed the community towards a newly-discovered location, Quibbit Cove. It was there that the true secret of the Quibblet was revealed: Feeding it in the cove causes it to evolve into a fully-fledged pet, the Quibbit!

Thanks to the community’s efforts of research and discovery, the location of Quibbit Cove and the secret of Quibblet evolution are now unlocked for everyone.

which means that out of 36 pets, there are ten unobtainable pets. I'm willing to give grace to the grusim and xyren, they're nowhere near as bad as they used to be, but... ten unobtainable pets?? and about half the pets still don't have all the colors??

CJ, I get you have a vision, but maybe put the new pet beam down for like ten seconds and give your artists time to finish the pets we already have. Santae is ten years younger than Flight Rising, but has about ten more breeds than Flight Rising does today. Please. Let us get caught up with the pets we have now without adding more.

how did you get back into sims 3 and immediately managed to make it look so personal and "modern" and yours like how??

the house you created is cluttered just as the ones from sims 4, your sims look like the sims 3 version of your sims 4 sims

like, I'm back into it as well but visually talking, it still has the "ea's version" type of look, not mine

▪️Oh thats easy to explain! I am using mostly sketchbook pixel/grusims and sourlemonsimblr skins. I'm using these set of sliders as a base and downloaded every single slider from simtanico

▪️I have all my setting set very high graphics wise, along with using the smoothing path by lazy duchess along with the graphic rules from this Sims 3 starter pack on reddit. I'm using this lighting mod in my game along with the gshade i use for my gameplays in the sims 4. Those two things are why my game looks similar. I'm playing in Willapa Valley, it one my favorite sims 3 worlds, it runs so well.

▪️Build wise, I'm using this mod from omedapixels that has functions very similar to the sims 4 build mod in some ways its amazing.

▪️Its truely down to the light mod, the world and my gshade!

Hi there! I got bored and decided to do some math There are 189 Divine figurines currently available that you cannot get from the NPC shop (minus the Grusim and Aerios but we'll get to that in a moment). This includes pets like the Wispyr and Kyree, however- Assuming those figurines would cost 12sC each if they ever made it to the cash shop, and with 13 Aerios figurines at 9sC each (without the discount) it would cost you $2,385 to get each figurine. (That's more than a copy of the Sims 4 with every single expansion pack!) Now, Grusims can be obtained only for sD, at 15,000sD for each figurine. With 21 available colors, that would be 315,000sD in total. Now, lets say we don't want to spend that much money on sC and go the sD route instead. Aerios figures are 60,000sD, while regular figurines are 120,000sD each. Including the Grusim figurines, that would be a grand total of, drumroll please... 3,363,000sD. There are ten quests that give you 400sD an hour (Excluding the Altar and Invoker's Fortune), which in total will give you 4,000 every hour if you max out each quest.

To get the amount needed would take you roughly 841 hours, just a little over 35 straight days of maxing out quests every hour.

Why does almost every single Celebration dust pet have that ugly ass 'copy and pasted' tiny forehead candle??? It's like the petrastone dust where they all got a poorly cropped/ angled amber "gem" (don't get me started on the petrastone lerk). That tiny candle straight up ruins some of the designs! Rattlinz? Perfect use of the tail being the candle and not having a stupid forehead one. Grusim?? The tail was perfect, why add the forehead one?

imo a color design doesn't have to have every single element they choose the represent. please please stop crowding the design by shoehorning in something.

The thick ribbons around the front legs for rhymoss, nontra, and direfang. The ribbon scarf on a lot of them but specifically velotra. Honestly, just the ribbons on most of them. Wolperjack, Shimmerint, and Seamso, Nochturn are good. A bunch are alright but I feel most could've benefited from no ribbon tails and twisted thorny vine tails instead if they wanted to lean into the rosebush thing. Grusim with a vine tail instead of bushy would've been cool I think.

A mammal that isn’t a bird or a bug or dog….. litterslly a cute woodland critter…, nontra is part bug. The phasmic is part bug. The velarie is part bird. And I hate dogs and foxes. I want a beaver a chipmunk a cat without bug features a groundhog a ferret a mouse ….a cute thing. The flying squirrel wilperjack romper and pippin were the only cute mammals. Also a shimmerint is an aquatic creature so that is not a cute woodland mammal. grusim has a dumb scorpion tail…

not everybody wants a hideous bug or dog. The point is they don’t have enough diversity. Why does everything need to have horns??? You can tell AI designed the first batch of pets. That’s why they have similar features and a set of horns or a combo of two animals. Very lazy

I'd never say this publically because overall I'm a huge supporter of Santae. Really love the site, but MAN. It's like they don't have a design bible for the pets and their dusts.

If the natural color has a theme, why abandon that theme in the base C recolors? (Ex: Grusim's stripes being the same color as the tail in natural but not in any of the C recolors). Some of the themed dusts have one element that just ruins the whole thing. (Ex: Rose weavers red ribbon, like why? A rose theme with green foliage and red roses was PERFECT) the Aurora "scarf" on Auroralight is so out of place on some of the pets it looks mashed in there. (The auroralight lerk ugh). The netherflame's color tones are so similar it's extremely hard to see the details and even tell what pet I'm looking at. It flew just a little too close to the sun. And DO NOT get me started on Regal dust. So many of those are a miss.

Again I love Santae, I just think they need a few more drafts before release. Or maybe more "no men" behind the scenes to look over it with a critical eye.

I like a few of the roseweaver pets but some of them are soooo green. Crazy amounts of green for a valentine's day pet. The drava, grusim, quenaris, and pheros are just *aggressively* green. We missed out on cute pink/red/white pets for overgrown plant ones.

talking about sancash shop items... the fact that once you put an item in the wardrobe you can't take it out to sell it if you get tired of it/realize it doesn't look as good as you thought it would with the rest of your outfit? makes me not want to buy any cash clothes at all tbh. and some of the items rotate so quickly too. i think there's already 200 dollars worth of cash shop minimals with another 15 dollars worth coming on the 29th? sure some of them are going to come back in a year or two or more in non-cash ways but I dunno... still feels bleh

I guess there's the sandust equivalent shop but that shit is hard to get too. i'm trying to get a couple of grusims and the slog to just 15,000 is a pain. again, i know, beta, but it's so grindy plus i'm afraid to dust some items in case i need them for future avatars or crafting or events or something.

(and god the sandust shop prices aren't even consistent lmao. a stamp is 2 sC and 20k sD. So 1 sC should be 10,000 sD right? well yeah, mostly. except when there's 5 sC minimals for 80,000 sD because fuck you and the 6sC enchanted glade item is also 80,000 sD because ???)
