But They tried!
"But Melin!" You're saying. "Ninja Tried to start up a new platform!"
What is Ninja's content? It's no different from any other gaming streamer out there. I hate to say this about him, since I don't know or care about him; His fame and success are directly tied with skill at shooter-games.
There's nothing else he has going for him. IMO.
And that's where a twitch clone platform failed. He was successful, in that he got paid a lot for signing on to the new platform. That has nothing to do with what a streaming platform can be.
What do business gurus say? "You got think how nobody else is thinking, you have to do what nobody else is doing, and you have to make content nobody else is making." But you gotta take the pay day if they're just gonna give you free money.
So what did Kick do that Twitch did not? They tried to do what every gaming team had done in the competitive gaming space. They tried to stack their deck with the highest rated players they could, and that failed ,because the content wasn't anything new or different.
You could, after all, watch the competitions in every other space.
Like trying to compete with SportsCenter with Lebron James and Tom Brady. You're not doing anything differently, you're just throwing money at it and trying to compete in established space.
Meanwhile, commentary was already being done by streamers people actually wanted commentary from. (Still don't know who Ninja is.)
Ironically, that's why a lot of tech start-ups fail. It's the exact reason tech start-ups fail, and why tech-bros are looked at as unbankable, and untrustworthy. And why the tech Sector looks "uninvestable".
Because they literally have no imagination, nor ability to think outside of the box. They're only trying to make what is already made, but better. Except, they can't make it better, because they're poaching whom is already the top paid individuals.
Which is exactly the same.
After-all, people only care about competitive sports players while they're competing. People can only handle so many vtubers reciting the same exact script. And there can only be so many half-naked trans philosophers.
I've already floated my ideas on the evolution of the space, as well as ideas to draw attention to new platforms, but those can't propagate until there's de-inflation.
Because the people that are supposed to be worth money, on the hook for paying back the loans... They are all Bankman-Fried's. "Good breeding stock" which is cattle-rancher for family. Had an established career, decided to get into Crypto at exactly the wrong time, and obviously didn't know s* about Crypto *except* that he could hire a bunch of public figures to try to build a brand by throwing cash at it.
And they still don't know s* about the tech Sector, do they?
Nor do they know how entertainment and tech fit together. To the Bane of every former High School AV kid.
Another group threw a bunch of money at Benedict Cumberbatch in an effort to entice people to play *that game that Cumberbatch plays*. Odds are it'll be a novelty, which'll wear-off real soon. No notes on the sticking power of the game itself. Probably enough to penetrate the *suave* new iPhone owner market who doesn't play video games that much.
What did they say about the post-laggards? You'll never convince them to adopt unless they've no other choice?
Good for a quick pay day--how did Mulaney phrase it? "Tell me a better way to make 15,000$ only spending 30,000$" (Sorry. Not Sorry. It's the best way to describe the same kinda energy going on here.)
They haven't tried. They've only tried recreating saturated spaces, that cannot grow as fast as you can throw money at something.
Watch the Twitter knock-offs. They're actually growing at a sustainable rate, aren't they? Not fast, but not falling apart. Actually thinking differently, andal about usability.

As i cant really do this idk why here are they and also i may have glossed over it i reccomend that you read my post and tell me watchu think !
1. Shiftok: The Dumpster Fire of the Multiverse
Shiftok is a spiritual clown show, where misinformation spreads faster than a K-pop fancam. The claim that “genetics affect your shifting abilities” is proof of this circus act. Genetics?! Sweetheart, shifting is about consciousness, not whether your ancestors survived the bubonic plague. Suggesting genetics determines shifting ability is like saying your zodiac sign affects your Wi-Fi speed. Make it make sense. 🤡
This community thrives on gatekeeping. They’ll tell you your method is wrong, your intentions are trash, or that you’re “not trying hard enough.” Newsflash: reality shifting isn’t some exclusive nightclub. You don’t need a “Shiftok Guru” telling you how to unlock the multiverse when half of them haven’t shifted themselves. Also, can we address the toxicity? One wrong opinion, and you’re canceled faster than a streaming show after one season. It’s giving cult vibes.
Shiftok is the spiritual equivalent of a group project where everyone plagiarizes from Reddit but insists they invented the concept. The real shifters out here are rolling their eyes while these TikTokers act like they hold the keys to the multiverse. Pro tip: stick to vetted resources, cleanse your feed of Shiftok nonsense, and remember—you don’t need their approval to shift. They’re not the gatekeepers of your consciousness, bestie. ✨
2. Permashifting & Respawning: A Whole Mood
Let’s break it down: permashifting is like moving to another country permanently. You’re shifting your awareness, not your physical body. Respawning? That’s essentially moving out of this apartment complex we call “reality” and leaving your spiritual forwarding address. Both are totally valid, but honey, they’re not for the faint of heart.
Critics whine that these practices are “escapist” or “unhealthy.” Let me ask you this: Is escapism bad when your OR sucks? People escape every day with vacations, wine, or binge-watching reality TV. If someone chooses to shift permanently to a better reality, that’s their prerogative. It’s not cowardice—it’s self-empowerment. Don’t like it? Shift to a reality where you mind your business. 😉
Respawning gets even more flak because it involves leaving behind a “clone” or physical remnant in the OR. Let’s clear this up: you’re not abandoning responsibility; you’re relocating your consciousness. If you’ve done the emotional and spiritual work to prepare, why shouldn’t you live your best life elsewhere? Critics often frame this as nihilistic or selfish, but they’re projecting their inability to embrace infinite possibilities.
The bottom line? Permashifting and respawning are advanced techniques for the spiritually daring. They’re not about running away; they’re about choosing the reality where you thrive. So if someone wants to leave their OR to become a space pirate or wizard, let them live—or rather, shift.
3. Race Changing: Exploration, Not Exploitation
Let’s clear the air: race changing in shifting isn’t inherently racist. It’s about immersion, not appropriation. Shifting isn’t role-play; it’s stepping into an entirely new identity, complete with cultural, emotional, and even historical context. If done thoughtfully and respectfully, race changing can be a profound exercise in empathy and personal growth.
Critics scream “fetishization” or “cultural appropriation.” Here’s the tea: fetishization happens when you reduce a culture to stereotypes, not when you fully embody and respect it. Shifting allows you to live that race’s reality, including their struggles, joys, and systemic challenges. It’s not some cosplay party. You’re not cherry-picking aesthetics; you’re experiencing an entire identity.
Now, let’s be clear—there are wrong ways to do this. If someone scripts stereotypes or romanticizes oppression, that’s a problem. But if your intent is to learn, grow, or connect deeply with another culture, that’s a different story. Critics often ignore the immersive nature of shifting and oversimplify it into “racial tourism.” They’re missing the nuance.
The gag? Many who condemn race changing will praise shifting into fictional races like Na’vi or elves—fully ignoring that those identities are just as real in their DR as any human race. Hypocrisy much? If you’re doing it with respect and authenticity, race changing isn’t problematic. It’s a way to understand perspectives you could never access in your OR.
4. Age Changing: Healing, Not Creeping
Age changing freaks people out, but the arguments against it are riddled with logical fallacies. The biggest misconception? That your OR mind stays intact in your DR, meaning if you age down, you’re still “an adult in a child’s body.” That’s not how shifting works. When you shift, you become your DR self, including their maturity, memories, and mindset.
Some accuse age changers of “creepy” behavior, but that’s reductive and wrong. Shifting isn’t about lust or fetishization; it’s about exploring different phases of life. Many age down to heal childhood trauma, experience lost opportunities, or simply embrace a lighter, carefree existence. What’s predatory about reclaiming joy or rewriting a painful past?
And let’s not forget the double standards. Teens shift to be adults in romantic relationships, and no one bats an eye. Yet when adults age down to relive innocent teenage love or chase their youthful dreams, people scream “problematic.” It’s hypocrisy, plain and simple.
The takeaway? Age changing can be healing, fulfilling, and entirely ethical when approached with respect and intention. Critics need to stop projecting their discomfort and let people shift responsibly.
And i personally do not care about what you do boo. In you Teenage DR your kissing boys making out behind the lockers and even having sex with you highschool sweetheart ? GOOD FOR FUCKING YOU. You are both the same age/maturity.As long as you treat them right and that its consentual i do not have a problem with that.
Shifting is all about experience if you ask someone : Why are you shifting to to x ? Why scripting y ? Why do you do z ? The answer shall always be exploring and EXPERIENCING. There s nothing wrong with wanting to expeirence stuff from various stages of life. Teen sex , teenage love or adult situations like paying bills working raising and starting a family the list is endless.
You wanna explore and experience ? Fine you wanna fetishize ? Boutta call the pop on you hun.
5. Spiritual Hygiene: You’re Doing It Wrong
The spiritual hygiene in the shifting community is atrocious. Y’all are playing with the multiverse and haven’t even saged your bedroom. Make it make sense. If you’re constantly exhausted, ungrounded, or stuck in your OR, check your spiritual hygiene. Neglecting it is like skipping showers—you’re just carrying around energetic grime.
Cleanse your energy. Protect your aura. Meditate. Use crystals, sage, or salt baths—whatever works for you. Also, set boundaries. The multiverse is vast, and not every reality or entity has good vibes. Treat your spiritual space like a nightclub with a VIP list: no uninvited guests. 🔮
Shifting isn’t just a mental exercise; it’s a spiritual one. Neglecting your energy hygiene is why you’re burnt out or why your DR feels chaotic. Take it seriously, or stay stuck in Shiftok purgatory.
6. DR Trauma: It Stays in Your DR
DR trauma following you back to the OR? Girl, no. Trauma is physical—stored in your brain and body. You can’t bring physical stuff between realities, so why would trauma hitch a ride? If you’re scared of DR trauma, just script it out. Done. Problem solved.
The idea that trauma transfers is based on a misunderstanding of how shifting works. DR experiences stay there unless scripted otherwise. If you return to your OR and feel overwhelmed, it’s likely emotional residue—not actual trauma. Handle it with self-care, not fear-mongering.
Drop your shifting hot takes in my asks 👀

How to Make CAS CC Knittable
Note: There is currently a bug with custom CAS knittables where they duplicate in CAS upon unlocking them (excluding adding to existing knit swatches). I have posted a bug report on the AHQ and the Guru’s are aware of the problem and are looking into it. Feel free to post your experiences on there and Me Too the thread after you’ve made your items.
Just so everyone knows ahead of time, baby onesies are not covered in this tutorial but will be covered in my next set of tutorials, as the baby onesies have a different process and require a new script. Another is that this tutorial does require minimal tuning/modding, but I promise it’s not going to be scary or difficult, and I’ll explain all the steps! I’m only covering the basics in this tutorial to get your CC in the game and functioning.
Before I begin, when writing this tutorial I realized EA gave us limited interactions (or categories as I like to call them) and specific interaction names (like beanies), so I took the time to make a few more and rename some of the existing interactions so we could have more options, and made it available as a download. The new ones have their own unique level requirements, but the renamed EA interactions are the same. If you used one of the new interactions I made then you will need to make sure to tell people download my custom categories .package and XML Injector.
For this tutorial you will need:
Sims4Studio
A photo editing program
Andrew’s Crafting Enabler
My example .package
If you are adding your CC to my custom knitting interactions you will also need XML Injector and my custom categories .package for testing and linking.
Note: Some images may be hard to see. I've posted an Imgur link for each one for you to click on and open in a separate tab to view in case it is.
To start make your CAS CC first as you normally would, but don’t do each swatch yet to save yourself some work. Cloning an existing knitting CAS item eliminates the next step, but otherwise is not required. If you are adding a new swatch to an existing knittable, you want to use “Add CAS Part Swatch” and skip this next step as your CC item already has what it needs.
Step 1: Once that is done (and if you didn’t clone a knitting item), go to the Warehouse section of your CAS item and select the CAS Part file. Look (or use the search function up above) for the section called “Buff” inside the CAS Part, and once you find it add 00000026 to the Group section, 000000000003AC8E to the Instance, and 6017E896 to the Type. This assigns the “WearingKnittedClothing” invisible buff that is required for a knitted item to be shown for the Knitted Aspiration objective.
https://imgur.com/QC1AfLe
https://imgur.com/O57RXb9
Step 2: Scroll down a little further (it’s not far) and look for GamePlayLockedDescription and GamePlayLockedDescriptionKey. They might be slightly cutoff where it says description. Here under GamePlayLockedDescriptionKey you need to enter the description key (I made a list below) that explains what level your item will be available for knitting. It doesn’t affect if it unlocks at this level, it only let’s people know when they can access it with your custom knitting recipe.
Here are the available level descriptions, the first being EA’s and the second being available with my custom category .package. Decide which category your CC falls under (so a hat, or a sweater, etc.) and then copy the italicized number of your chosen category and paste it in the GamePlayLockedDescriptionKey box. And that’s all you need to do for the description section.
EA’s Level Descriptions:
(Beanies/Hats) FE4B8009 - Requires Knitting Skill Level 1 to craft
(Socks) 27C1F576 - Requires Knitting Skill Level 2 to craft
(Sweaters/Tops) 021FEAE5 - Requires Knitting Skill Level 5 to craft
(Onesies) C15C92E5 - Requires Knitting Skill Level 8 to craft
(Sweater Scarfs) B6C28AFE - Requires Knitting Skill Level 9 to craft
(The Forbidden Sweater/Level 10) B9EA8E02 - Requires the Sacred Knitting Knowledge Reward Trait to craft
My Custom Category Level Descriptions
(Gloves) 62FBB6BA - Requires Knitting Skill Level 3 to craft
(Accessories) 62FBB6BD - Requires Knitting Skill Level 4 to craft
(Bottoms) 62FBB6BF - Requires Knitting Skill Level 6 to craft
(Outfits) 62FBB6BE - Requires Knitting Skill Level 7 to craft
https://imgur.com/RlJrjts
Step 3: Now look or search for “PartFlags2”, this one is very close to the bottom. Once found check the “CreatedInGame” box as this locks the item from being used in CAS. You’re now finished, so go ahead and make all of your swatches now or repeat these steps for each CAS Part Resource in your file (aka the swatches).
Edit: Someone let me know a workaround to hide the duplicates until EA has fixed the issue. Under the first "PartFlags" there is a "ShowInUI" check box that is already checked. This determines if the item shows up in CAS or not, but for some reason when CAS items are unlocked they show again despite having this box unchecked. So if you don't mind the locked item not being viewable in CAS, go ahead and uncheck that box to avoid the duplicates.
https://imgur.com/uan3WSH
Step 4: Before you move on, go through each CAS Part Resource and copy the Instance under Key and paste in a safe place (don’t forget to label which swatch it is). You’re going to need these for later, so don’t lose them.
https://imgur.com/KwrGZvT
Step 5: Now that we’re done fixing the CAS item, it’s time to make the placeholder object. Regardless of what you call it, the placeholder object is what appears in your inventory after you’re done knitting. It’s what allows you to unlock the CAS item, or sell it on Plopsy, etc. It doesn’t have a mesh though, just an icon, so you don’t need to worry about making a second mesh. All you’re doing is recoloring or replacing the icon and renaming the object. To start go to Create 3D Mesh under Object on the main menu of S4S. When it loads select the Nifty Knitting pack from the Game Pack dropdown box, check the “Show Debug Items”, and now search for a placeholder to clone. You’ll want to choose one of the ones shown in the second image that fits with what you are making.
https://imgur.com/xfIX4fx
https://imgur.com/TtYIArc
Step 6: Once you’ve named your .package and it has loaded, the first thing to do is rename the object. This will be important for later, and it’s easiest to do so now. Don’t mind the empty studio space, that’s normal.
https://imgur.com/AAg37E4
Step 7: When done, go to the Warehouse and export and edit the icon like you would a CC thumbnail to make it match your CC item. Import it back in when you’re done, making sure to keep it PNG and the same size and transparency. Now go to the Data tab on the right above the image you just imported back in and copy the Instance under Key. Paste somewhere safe, label, and save for later.
https://imgur.com/mWKfk6D
https://imgur.com/K7utKpF
Step 8: Still in the object Warehouse, go down and select the Object Definition, and under Key again you need to copy the instance, label, and save for later.
https://imgur.com/pp47qtt
Step 9: Select the Object Catalog next and look for the “NameHash” under Common. Copy this number, label and save it for later. Save your object .package now if you hadn’t already, and you’re now welcome to close it. (Note: You may need to repeat these object steps depending on what you decide in Step 11.)
https://imgur.com/T5roMT2
Step 10: Rename and open my example .package you downloaded. Inside should be a file type called Snippet with a long custom name. This Snippet file is what Andrew’s Crafting Enabler reads, it adds your recipe to the knitting interactions through the script. Let’s ignore it for now and instead go to the top and click Tools > Extract Tuning. Wait, eventually the popup will load.
https://imgur.com/o5O3IVH
Step 11: Once it does, type recipe_knitting into the search box. It will filter to just the knitting recipes. Now before we add anything you need to decide. Do you want people to knit once to unlock all the swatches of one CAS item, or do you want people to knit each swatch like EA has it? If you only want people to knit once to get all the swatches find a recipe that has a similar theme, select and click “Add to current package”. If you want people to knit for each swatch, add the same amount of recipes as your swatches (so shift + left click and select all the same recipes that you need). If you have more swatches than the available recipe, then wait till I cover what to do below and then repeat this step to re-add the same ones.
https://imgur.com/LhU02On
Step 12: When your recipe(s) have been added you need to save, close, and re-open the package. This prevents a bug that reverts your changes. Now it’s time to give these new files a unique name, otherwise they will conflict with the original EA files. Select your Recipe Tuning file and go to the Data tab.
https://imgur.com/xexgrbw
Step 13: On the Data tab go to where it says Name and delete what’s there, now type in YourCreatorName: and make sure you include the : after your creator name otherwise this won’t work (please use your actual creator name). Continue adding specific words, like YourCreatorName:custom_MyKnittingOutfitRecipe_SwatchOne or something like that. The longer and more unique, the better. When you’re done click away, usually down below in the empty space works. You should see the Tuning ID and Instance change automatically. Your file is now unique and won’t conflict.
https://imgur.com/8LuCtLq
Step 14: Now you need to edit the SimData because they are a pair and need to always match, otherwise you can run into errors. Copy the Instance from your Recipe Tuning and click the SimData file, then paste the new number in the Instance box. Clicking away should make the file update.
https://imgur.com/4mzvFC8
Step 15: Go back to your Recipe Tuning. Copy the name you entered before, then go back to the SimData. Click on the XML tab this time. On line 4, which is near the top, there should be a name= and the original recipe name surrounded by quote marks. Carefully delete that name, but keep the quote marks, and paste yours instead in-between them. Your files should now match in both name and instance.
https://imgur.com/fO4YzOm
Step 16: Now to edit our Recipe so it knows how to reference our item and object. Go to Tools > Hash Generator and a popup will appear. Locate your Object Definition key you saved earlier and copy/paste it under Convert Number where it says Hexadecimal. The area above it called Decimal will now have a new number appear. This is the tuning ID of your object and is how the game references it. Copy the Decimal/tuning ID and leave the window open as we have another conversion to do.
https://imgur.com/nZLyMRE
Step 17: Go back to your main Recipe Tuning file. Either search (using Ctrl + F) or scroll down to around line 74 (line numbers are on the left) and look for “definition”. Once you find it, replace the number there with yours. Don’t worry about the length difference, this is normal for mods/CC. The green text next to it can be altered to whatever you want as green text has no effect on the game and is for human eyes only (don’t mess with the arrows, lines, and exclamation though <--! -->).
https://imgur.com/iTQUWEh
Step 18: Bring the hash generator back up and grab your first CAS Part Resource/swatch number. Convert it as explained before and copy it. Go back to the Recipe Tuning file and look for "stored_cas_parts" which is near the bottom, around line 171. Replace the number here with yours. Depending on the file you copied there are probably multiple, which for this recipe I copied are the different age swatches for the panda beanie recipe (so adult black/white swatch, kid black/white swatch, toddler black/white swatch). If you want people to knit once to unlock all of your swatches then this is where you would paste them, following EA’s format that you can see in the example and making sure to put each number on a new line in-between <T> and </T>. If you want people to knit each swatch individually then delete any extras you don’t need and only do one converted number per Recipe Tuning.
https://imgur.com/CDk4I3q
Step 19: The next thing to do is an icon_override. Unfortunately, a current bug that may or may not be fixed in the future, is that the game refuses to recognize our placeholder object icon and appears as a white box with a red X. So, until this is fixed we have to force the game to use it, but be aware this makes the failure/poor quality object keep your icon instead of appearing as the failure icon, so it may cause some confusion. Another thing to note is that the thought bubble that appears when completing a knit still appears as the red X. Anyhow, copy this: <T n="icon_override" p="InGame\UI\Icons\Headlines\Final\headline_microphone.png">2f7d0004:00000000:BA38D7CD09BA53A3</T>
And right above mood_list (around line 179 or so, not far from stored_cas_parts), hit enter to create a new space and then paste that code.
https://imgur.com/SRpeCOF
Step 20: Now grab your icons instance that you saved earlier when making your object. Where it says BA38D7CD09BA53A3 you need to replace it with your icons instance, be careful to not delete anything else. Ignore the rest of it, including the weird location, as you don’t need to change them.
https://imgur.com/t6RpGrA
Step 21: Go to the SimData file next. Look for icon_override on line 7. Change the long set of zeros (it’s the last one) to your icons instance. Copy this 00B2D882 and replace the first set of zero’s with it. Your icon_override in the SimData should now look similar to the image on the right.
https://imgur.com/xuu13fF
Step 22: While you’re still here, grab the NameHash you saved earlier from your object and go to the line under the icon_override (line 8) and replace the number after 0x with yours, so it should be 0xNumber.
https://imgur.com/sM0kB93
Step 23: Go back to your Recipe Tuning and down to the bottom of the file again. Around line 182 is the name you just changed in the SimData. Replace it here as well, same format of 0xNumber, and you can alter the green text too.
https://imgur.com/66sS0kd
Step 24: Now, one thing I’m not covering is how to change the description shown in the image. This is what you see when you hover over a recipe in the selection menu in-game. EA themselves only used these 4 (or 5 if you count the typo description, lol):
0x1D523B6F<!--For Children, Teens, Young Adults, Adults, & Elders-->
0x470DFB4E<!--For Children, Teens, Young Adults, Adults, Elders-->
0x580AF9C6<!--Female Sweater with Dress for Teens, Young Adults, Adults, & Elders--><
0x867DC08F<!--Men's Sweater for Teens, Young Adults, Adults, & Elders--><
>0x86E6636<!--Unisex Children's Sweater--></T>
So I say just choose one of the above and use that, or delete that section. But if you must know how to make your own, I refer you to this timestamped Youtube tutorial. You have a string table in your placeholder object that you can use (and where your object’s name and description is stored), so open the object again when following the tutorial. You’re now done with the recipe file!
https://imgur.com/iBIblNx
Step 25: And finally, the snippet file. Go back to it and give the file a new name just like you did with the Recipe Tuning, remembering to use the Name: feature. Once that is done you need to change the interactions your recipe will appear in. Here are the available interactions, if you’re doing beanies/hats then you’re in luck since my snippet already has them listed. When you replace the listed interactions make sure to leave the Knitting_CraftingAutonomously alone since there’s only one of it, you only need to replace the two beneath it.
EA Interactions:

243582<!--knitting_StartCrafting_Beanies_Inventory-->
240543<!--knitting_StartCrafting_Onesies-->

My Custom Category Interactions:

17547687201202144473<!--MizoreYukii:custom_knitting_StartCrafting_Outfits_Inventory-->
https://imgur.com/ifgVhvw
Step 26: The last step is to add all of your recipe tunings to the snippet’s recipe list. Just like the stored_cas_parts if you have more than one you need to copy the format and put them on a new line. To quickly get the tuning ID and the name of your recipe at the same time, look at the bottom of your snippet. You should see something called “Local Tunings”, go ahead and click on it. This should bring up a list of all your recipe names and ID’s. Now input these into your recipe list and make sure they begin with <T> and end with </T>.
https://imgur.com/g0I6mVr
Step 27: If you chose the “knit each swatch” path, then just repeat the object and recipe steps I listed since each swatch needs it’s own recipe and placeholder object. If you have a lot of swatches and want to avoid a lot of copy/pasting, I really do recommend the “knit once” approach and putting everything into one recipe and object (or split between a few recipes). And now you’re done, just make sure to merge your CAS, object, and snippet .packages so they don’t get lost in people’s folders, and make sure to test before release.
Note: If you are doing different categories (i.e hats and socks) at the same time make sure to make a new snippet with a new name, don’t put them in the same order and file, otherwise your hats and socks will appear in both categories at the same time.

The Rise Of Skywalker Review [SPOILERICIOUS]
=0=
I’m going to post all the SPOILER stuff way below in section 3, so as not to ruin anything for anybody who hasn’t seen the movie yet.
You’ll get plenty of warnings.
=1=
In my old age I’m starting to divide creative works into three groups: Good, bad, and not-so-good.
A good creative work is any where the strengths overwhelmingly outweigh the weaknesses; a bad one is the obverse.
A not-so-good work is one where the strengths and weaknesses balance each other out.
It’s the kind of a work that will doubtless please those audience members who really enjoy the strengths in it, and equally irritate those annoyed by the weaknesses.
In my estimation, a not-so-good work is one done with straight forward intent and as often as not, a fair degree of technical and aesthetic competency, but fails to jell as a cohesive whole.
No one need feel ashamed for enjoying a not-so-good work, and no one involved in the making of a not-so-good work should feel bad about their contribution (unless, of course, their contribution turns out to be one of the weaknesses that should have been avoided).
Theodore Sturgeon famously observed “90% of everything is crap.”
I think that’s a little harsh.
I agree with him that only 10% of anything is good, but think only 40% falls into the crap bin.
Most stuff falls in the 50% I call not-so-good.
Star Wars Episode IX: The Rise Of Skywalker is in that 50%.
. . .
The good stuff is really good.
Elsewhere I’ve posted my enthusiasm for Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens and Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi hinge in no small part on just how emo Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) could get, and holy cow, does he ever deliver in The Rise Of Skywalker.
Easily my favorite parts of the picture.
Doesn’t really mesh with anything else in the movie but, hey, ya can’t have everything, right? (I’ll discuss his performance in a little more detail in section =3=.)
Other performances range from adequate to doing-the-best-they-can-with-the-material to okay-smartass-you-try-recreating-a-dead-actress-via-CGI.
The dialog in The Rise Of Skywalker is the worst of any film in the series, with the possible exception Star Wars Episode III: The Revenge Of The Sith, which I haven’t seen and have no intention of seeing (but more on that below…).
It’s not an attempt to depict characters talking, it’s a series of shouted declarative sentences.
Elsewhere I’ve referred to The Rise Of Skywalker as the best Jason Of Star Command episode ever made.
For those who don’t get the reference, Jason Of Star Command was a low budget albeit imaginative Saturday morning kid-vid Star Wars rip off by Filmation Studios.
To make sure the youngest kids in the audience understood what was going on, they tended to hammer home plot points repeatedly.
DRAGOS Jason! In just sixteen hours my space fleet will destroy Star Command!
STAR COMMAND Jason! Dragos is going to destroy us with his space fleet in just sixteen hours!
JASON Don’t worry, Star Command! I’ll stop Dragos from destroying you with his space fleet in sixteen hours.
NARRATOR (i.e., Norm Prescott) Jason has only sixteen hours to stop Dragos from destroying Star Command with his space fleet!
There is far too much of that in The Rise Of Skywalker.
Ten minutes into the movie, and there was already far too much of that…
The opening credit crawl reveals an off camera plot development that literally deserved an entire film of its own to fully explore.
There is no sustained coherent plot to The Rise Of Skywalker:
Well, we gotta do this,
now we gotta do that,
first we gotta find this thing,
then we gotta find that thing,
now I’m feeling blue,
now I’m gonna get encouraged,
etc., etc., and of course, etc.
Everything feel frenetic, not fast paced.
There are far too many scenes that exist just to sell action figures and toy vehicles.
There was a desire to tie off loose ends and say good-bye to favorite characters and that was a mistake.
It undercuts the urgency of the story (or rather, the desired urgency; the fact the film is called The Rise Of Skywalker means everybody in the freakin’ audience ALREADY KNOWS HOW THE DAMN THING IS GONNA END!
(This is not a problem unique to Star Wars. Gene Siskell famously upbraided Roger Ebert for spoiling the ending to the third Star Trek movie, to which Ebert retorted, “Oh, come on! They’re going to call a forty million dollar movie The Search For Spock and not find him?!?!?”)
There is one nice little breather scene (“little” only in screen time; visually it’s pretty big and impressive): The Festival of the Ancestors on the desert world Pasaana that gives a nice touch of exotic space opera flavor to the proceedings.
All of the Star Wars movies offer really great art direction and visual design, and The Rise Of Skywalker certainly delivers in that category.
Which makes the occasional mediocre special effects shots all the more obvious.
The Rise Of Skywalker has a few painfully obvious matte shots, a few shots obviously composed in post-production, and a few shots where the audience becomes aware the actors are performing in front of a greenscreen.
You can get away with mediocre visuals so long as there is consistency in their mediocrity.
If everything else consistently looks great, a so-so shot spoils the illusion; if everything consistently looks so-so, it’s simply part of the work’s look.
Indeed, you’re better off with consistently mediocre work highlighted by a few great shots than consistently great stuff undercut by a few mediocre ones.
Best thing about the movie is the complete lack of Jar Jar Binks.
=2=
Before diving deeper in The Rise Of Skywalker, let’s look at the series as a whole (just the numbered theatrical episodes, not standalone films, TV series, video games, comics, novels, etc.).
I’ve said the original Star Wars was the movie an entire generation had been waiting all their lives to see.
George Lucas wanted to do Flash Gordon but when Universal turned him down, created his own space opera.
Lucas, it needs be noted, is not a good writer.
Whatever visual talents he has, they don’t extend to telling a good story.
One can easily find early drafts of Star Wars online, and while they all share certain elements, they’re all pretty bad.
The development of Star Wars the movie grew organically with storyboard and production art, characters and incidents changing and evolving along the way.
It’s long been rumored that a more skilled writer than Lucas came in to do the final draft; one thing’s for sure, the shooting script is head and shoulders above the earlier drafts.
Star Wars the original Han-shoots-first-dammit theatrical release is very much a product of the 1970s.
20th Century Fox thought they had a good enough kiddee matinee movie for summer release; they expected their big sci-fi blockbuster of the year to be Damnation Alley.
Instead, they hit a nerve and found themselves with a blockbuster on their hands.
Lucas did show one great example of foresight: He trademarked all the names / characters / vehicles and held the licenses on them, not 20th Century Fox.
This gave him the war chest he needed to build the Lucasfilm empire.
And let’s give Lucas and his crew their due: They added immeasurably to the technical art of film making, as well as making several entertaining films.
What Lucas did not fully envision was how to mold his Star Wars material into a coherent and thematically cohesive saga.
He started out with grandiose plans -- four trilogies with a standalone film connecting each for a total of 15 movies -- but that gradually got whittled down to 12, then 9.
After Star Wars Episode VI: The Return Of The Jedi, Lucas put the Star Wars movie series on hold, waiting for film making technology to develop to the point where he could tell the stories the way he wanted to tell them.
Okay, fair enough.
But the problem is that while the film making technology improved, the technology of the Star Wars universe didn’t.
As I said, the original Star Wars is very much a 70s movie in taste / tone / style / sensibility.
While the designs look sufficiently sci-fi, they reflect robots and spacecraft designs of the 1970s -- in fact, even earlier in many cases.
That fit in with Lucas’ “used universe” look and the tag line “A long ago in a galaxy far, far away...”
But compare the original Star Wars with Stanley Kubrick’s 2001: A Space Odyssey.
Kubrick spent a lot of time researching where technology was heading.
Long before visual displays and vector graphics became commonplace in real world aircraft, he showed them being used in the future.
The first example of what we refer to today as a computer tablet appeared in 2001 as a throwaway background detail.
Kubrick’s next film was A Clockwork Orange and he successfully predicted punk culture a decade ahead of reality (his only mistake being the assumption white, not black, would be the base color).
Star Wars Eps I - III take place a generation before the original Star Wars movie.
Star Wars Eps VII - IX take place a generation after.
Name a two generation span since the start of the industrial age that is not marked by radical technological change that produces an ensuing change in the social order.
Now I grant you, the Star Wars universe isn’t trying to tell that kind of story, but the story it is telling is static.
Characters in The Rise Of Skywalker talk about cloning as if it were A Really Big Deal.
Cloning today is cutting edge bio-tech, to be sure, but it’s already common place.
It’s as if the Star Wars characters were getting worked up over steam engines.
One can intercut scenes from the movies and, unless one is a familiar with each movie, it’s impossible to tell one film from another.
Lucas’ financial success enabled him to issue edicts re Star Wars (and other Lucasfilm projects) that undercut the strengths of his projects.
Lucas is a technological guru and a savvy businessman, but he really struggles to tell a story.
Frankly, I think he would have been a better film maker if he’d spent a decade or so making American Graffiti scale movies, not space operas and epic fantasies and adventure movies.
His decision to make the original Star Wars the fourth episode in his saga and going back to start his story with his villain was fatally flawed.
I grant following the Skywalker saga from Anakin to Luke to Rey could work if it started with Anakin.
But what he did was the equivalent of the James Bond movies jumping back in time to follow the pre-Bond career of Ernst Stavo Blofeld.
(And the Bond movies, at least up until the Daniel Craig era, are all standalone films insofar as one does not have to see any of the previous films to understand and enjoy the one being watched, not does the sequence they’re viewed in matter. And the Craig films were conceived from the beginning as having a coherent overall arc, so in that case they are the exception to the rule.)
The joyous whiz-bang space opera of the original Star Wars got bogged down in a lot of meaningless politics and talks of trade treaties, none of which explained why anyone would want to conquer the universe in order to rule it as a decrepit, diseased dictator in a dark hole.
Look at Hitler and Stalin and Castro and Mao and the Kim family in North Korea.
These guys enjoyed themselves (well, Hitler did until things went south for him). They loved the attention and went around preening themselves in public.
The off screen Empire (and implied Emperor) of the original Star Wars served that film well: It was a story about a tactical conflict, not a treatise on the philosophy of governance.
Lucas’ universe does not make sense even in its own context.
And because of that, it becomes harder and harder to fully engage with it.
A sci-fi movie doesn’t have to explain everything, but it has to at least imply there is an underlying order that links up.
Lucas began subverting his own universe almost immediately.
The Force was originally presented as a spiritual discipline that any sufficiently dedicated intelligent being could gain access to. (Robots seem to be specifically excluded from The Force, implying it needs a biological connection. But that would seem to exclude intelligences that may not be organic in the commonly accepted sense of the word, which means such beings cannot appear in the Star Wars universe, which means…well, I digress…)
That was a big hunk of the original Star Wars’ appeal, the thought that literally anybody could become a Jedi if they so desired.
It speaks to a religious bent in audiences from many different cultures around the world, and it offers up an egalitarian hope that allows everyone access to the Star Wars fantasy (“fantasy” in this context meaning the shared ideal).
But already in Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back Lucas began betraying his original concept, sowing the seeds for self-serving deception and innate superiority as endemic in The Force.
By the time he got around to Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace, Lucas abandoned the hope established in the original Star Wars movie.
Now one has to be a special somebody, not just dedicated.
Mind you, that sort of story has its adherents, too.
Way back in the 1940s sci-fi fans were saying “Fans are slans” in order to claim superiority over “mundanes”. Today many Harry Potter fans like to think of themselves as inherently superior to “Muggles”.
It’s a very appealing idea, so appealing that the United States of America is based on it, the assumption being that white people are endowed with more blessings -- and therefore more rights -- than non-white people (add force multipliers such as “rich” / “male” / “Christian” / “straight” and you get to lord it over everybody).
Lucas with his stupid midichlorians robbed audiences of their healthy egalitarian fantasy and replaced it with a far more toxic elitism.
It appeals to the narcissistic stain in the human soul, and encourages dominance and bullying and cruelty and harm as a result.
It’s an elitism that requires a technologically and sociologically stagnant society, one where clones and robots and slaves can all co-exist and nobody points out they are all essentially the same thing.
A progressive society -- and here I use “progressive” strictly in a scientific and technological sense (though as stated above, advances in scientific fields invariably lead to changes elsewhere) -- does not let such conditions exist unchanged for generations.
As technology changes and improves, the culture/s around it change (and hopefully improve, too).
As I mentioned above, I’ve never seen Star Wars Episode III: Revenge Of The Sith.
My reason for not seeing it? Star Wars Episode II: Attack Of The Clones.
Little Anakin Skywalker and his mom are slaves in The Phantom Menace.
He saves the Jedis and Princess Padame’s collective asses in that movie.
Okay, you’d think at the end of the movie that Padame would hand Qui-gon her ATM card and say, “Here, go back to Tatooine and bail the kid’s mom out. He did a solid for us, it’s the least we can do for him.”
No, they leave her there because there is no desire to change the underlying social order of their universe.
There can be no changes in Lucas’ bleak, barren moral universe.
There can be no help, no hope, no improvement.
When an edict is issue -- be it Jedi council or Emperor (or president of Lucasfilm) -- it is to be obeyed without question or pause.
Daring to say one can change their status -- change their destiny -- results in tragedy (and ironically, proof that is their destiny).
It’s dismaying enough that a large number of people enjoy cosplaying Star Wars villains, especially storm troopers, as that seems to indicate they’re missing the whole point of why the rebels were striving against the Empire in the first place.
Originally that could be written off as (at best) just enjoying the cool costumes and props or (at worst) finding an excuse for bad behavior (i.e., “I vuz only followink orders”).
But Lucas’ tacitly endorsing a sense of innate superiority pretty much destroys everything about The Force that the original Star Wars audience found enlightening and ennobling.
The Star Wars universe has become at its core a very ugly thing, and The Rise Of Skywalker doesn’t really clean it up.
SPOILERS ahead.
=3=
Seriously, SPOILERS follow.
Holy crap, The Rise Of Skywalker is a damn mess.
Nice eye candy, but a mess.
It pretty much undoes everything good in the previous two episodes.
I’m glad it’s the “official” end of the original saga because now I never need to see another Star Wars movie ever again.
(Oh, I’ll keep my DVD of the original Star Wars and if I find Solo in a bargain bin somewhere I might pick that up, but as far as the rest of Star Wars goes, I am D.O.N.E.)
The series stopped making sense long ago, so I’m really in no mood to analyze why nothing links up or really works.
It’s full of absurd, stupid ideas, such as space barbarians galloping across the deck of a star destroyed on their space horsies.
The whole back and forth between among Palpatine / Kylo / Rey goes on for two long. If hating somebody is bad because it sucks you over to the Dark Side, then why doesn’t somebody start building Terminators that can track down beings with midichlorians and kill them? (They’ve got the technology to detect midichlorians, that’s canon.)
It’s not anywhere near a good movie. It’s not as bad as George Lucas’ Star Wars Episodes I - III, but it’s clearly the worst of the last trilogy.
The scene where Rey gets off camera encouragement from all the dead Jedi? It seemed awfully familiar to me, as if the writers consciously or unconsciously remembered the John Wilkes Booth / Lee Harvey Oswald scene in Stephen Sondheim’s Assassins where all the presidential assassins and would-be assassins past and future encourage him to plug Kennedy.
Not what I want in a Star Wars movie.
I think we may be seeing the end of Star Wars. It’s been crammed down our throats for too long. I’m aware of The Mandalorian series and how insanely popular it is, but y’know, sooner or later every pop culture craze dies out.
Star Wars has nowhere to go. Star Trek is hemmed in, too, but nowhere nearly as bad as Star Wars.
We’re about to enter a generational shift in America, and I wouldn’t be surprised if a badly dated 1970s sci-fi concept fails to make the cut.
It ends on a frustrating note, taking much too long to come to a close, far too much self-congratulatory bullshit, and the deliberate planting of clues for a future set of sequels should the Mouse start jonesin’ for that sweet, sweet Star Wars franchise money fix.
It’s a really bad script, and dragging Carrie Fisher’s digitally reanimated corpse into it and then killing her off by suicide is a damned stupid / offensive idea.
Mark Hamill’s ghost walking out of the flames of Jedi hell (thank you for that analogy, David Brin)? Wow, who didn’t see that one marching down the avenue?
Harrison Ford coming back as a memory / hallucination to tell Kylo to do the right thing? Skrue dat noiz.
(Though I have to say Kylo Ren is the best thing about the movie and his character turn parallels both Luke’s and Vader’s in The Return Of The Jedi only his is much more believable and poignant so dammit, Disney, you could have done a much better job with this movie than you did.)
The plot and pacing is straight out of a video game. First do this, then do that, now ya gotta do another thing -- feh!
And unless I misheard the dialog, this whole film supposedly takes place over a span of sixteen hours!!!
They visit a half dozen worlds, crash and repair spaceships, go undercover, get captured and escape, fight duels to the deal -- all in sixteen hours?!?!?
Yeesh.
And I’ll say this, the last line is wrong wrong WRONG.
If the Star Wars saga has taught us anything, it’s that Force users are a threat to everything.
They should be eliminated for the good of the universe.
Rey shouldn’t have buried the Skywalker lightsabers.
She should have destroyed them -- and the one she made, and any others she found lying around.
And when she’s asked at the very end what her name is, the answer should have been: “Rey…just Rey.”
I know I put The Rise Of Skywalker in the not-so-good bin, but truth be told, that’s the nostalgia talking; it’s only a eyelash away from being bad.
The whole epic saga is a failure as far as I’m concerned. One and done is the way to go; the moment it started making money as a toy franchise it went south.

Star Wars: The Bad Batch Episode 1 Review: Aftermath
https://ift.tt/eA8V8J
This Star Wars: The Bad Batch review contains spoilers.
The Bad Batch Episode 1
During the opening scene of The Bad Batch, the new animated series set during the rise of the Empire, the The Clone Wars logo burns away. At once blatant marketing and a promise of something new, the logo neatly explains what The Bad Batch is.
As Jennifer Corbett (producer and head writer) and Brad Rau (producer) said during a press junket ahead of the May 4 premiere, this show is a spiritual successor and also a direct sequel to The Clone Wars. The beginning of the new show draws from the epic scale of The Clone Wars‘ series finale (and the Star Wars Prequel Trilogy which it parallels). But while the action and heart are all there on paper, stock characters and a too-straightforward plot drag down the 70-minute premiere.
The five characters of the Bad Batch, lead by elite clone Hunter, never quite fit in. Like many other aspects of technology in Star Wars, cloning isn’t an exact science, and Clone Force 99 are “deviant” or “defective” depending on who’s talking, but they’re very good at their jobs of fighting on behalf of the Republic. But when the Republic transitions to the Empire, they’re immediately asked to start doing messier jobs, such as hunting down human rebels, whereas they’d usually fight droids. As you’d expect, the clones swap sides and, of course, end up having to fight their way out of their home base. A young girl clone named Omega helps them out, and the stage is set for the rest of the season, which will have at least 14 episodes.
Star Wars guru Dave Filoni is joined by Star Wars Resistance writer Jennifer Corbett on the creative side. Her pedigree in delivering stories for the Sequel-era animated show, and her experience in the U.S. Navy, make her an ideal guide for this war story. As military science fiction, The Bad Batch is serviceable, with the creative action and silly one-liners typical of The Clone Wars. The franchise’s approach to animation is always improving, which in this first long episode manifests mostly in impressive snow and a fun depth of field effect. The sharp corners of armor contrast nicely against soft, blurred lights in the out-of-focus backgrounds.
Stream your Star Wars favorites right here!
As far as plot goes, it’s pretty simple, leaving me to want to dig into some of the more weighty sections but not sure whether they’re actually statements. The Bad Batch see the other clones turn on the Jedi during Order 66, but for the same reason their other “defects” make them stronger, the inhibitor chips that should brainwash them according to the Emperor’s wishes don’t work. They choose to let the Jedi in their vicinity live. Future-Grand Moff Tarkin sees their rebelliousness as a good chance to prove the Clone Army is no longer effective. After all, conscripts would apparently be cheaper. But after the Batch uncover Tarkin’s true colors, they defect for good.
It’s cool to see this transition happening. What do clones become after the war? It’s a question hardcore Star Wars fans might leap to answer (they don’t all become stormtroopers, and not all stormtroopers are clones) but we haven’t seen it so directly on screen before. It’ll be nice if The Bad Batch addresses some of the practical questions around that.
Meanwhile, Tarkin’s clearly willing to shed civilian blood in a way the Jedi generals weren’t, replacing the clones bred for war with human volunteers. Like many other Star Wars stories set during the Prequel era, the Batch’s choice presents a moral decision with no right answers. The “good” choice here would be to maintain a status quo in which tens of thousands of people are born solely to fight wars with droids, which, while technically enemy soldiers, are also sapient. And while I can generally get lost in the military camaraderie fantasy here, the fact that other clones don’t like them makes what exactly the Bad Batch is fighting for even more muddled. Maybe this is about giving this squad a new cause they believe in outside of the definitely-bad Empire.
Or maybe the fact that it’s hard to tell the Republic’s policies from the Empire’s is the point. This is how the Republic fell after all: gradually.
The strongest character beats involve the characters learning to trust each other in new ways. Team leader Hunter’s superpowers are “enhanced senses,” although that isn’t really on display much. He begins to distrust team sniper Crosshair when Crosshair becomes over-eager to follow their grim mission by the book. Their arguments were most compelling before the inhibitor chip was introduced: while I know it fits with the lore, it defangs the story a little to have the main antagonist’s motivation be “he was brainwashed,” and I was a little unsure of how much the show was willing to either pin blame on him or absolve him of it. Either way, we haven’t seen the last of Crosshair.
The Bad Batch can’t even trust the Kaminoans, their creators and stewards of their beloved home. The one who shows this the best is team heavy Wrecker. His tendency to scream about blowing stuff up I generally find more annoying than funny, but toward the middle of the extended episode he adds pathos without getting away from this broad characterization. Wrecker isn’t programmed, he insists. He likes what he likes. His determination to hold on to a sense of himself as a person with free will feels like the real stakes of the show. It’s a section of the episode that quickly jumps back into goofy, fun action, but for a moment gets at something more serious and scary. Wrecker’s determination to hold on to his individuality shows exactly what Tarkin hates most about the clones. Ironically, in Tarkin’s estimation, he needs stormtroopers that can be even more tractable.
Unfortunately, the moments most important to this theme are undercut by repeating information the audience already knows. If you’ve watched The Clone Wars, you probably know about Fives’ discovery of the inhibitor chips and how Ahsoka helped Rex remove his. But moments like the one above sell the fact that the clones would be shocked to learn the truth about their new Empire.
cnx.cmd.push(function() { cnx({ playerId: "106e33c0-3911-473c-b599-b1426db57530", }).render("0270c398a82f44f49c23c16122516796"); });
The brand new member of the group is Omega, a young teenage clone introduced as both audience surrogate and mystery. (She’s also a particularly noticeable example of how the Empire is whitewashing the clones — those further from the Jango Fett template have lighter skin.) She’s a big fan of the Bad Batch because, like them, she’s an altered clone. It’s implied that she’s never really been able to make friends with other humans before, so it makes sense she’d latch on to the other unique clones in her orbit. Her fondness for them sometimes reads like a script for how much the audience is supposed to be fawning over the headliners, but the show never quite really shows the world from her perspective. Nevertheless, I think it’s overall a less jarring introduction than Ahsoka’s, who became a great character as she got more involved with the rest of the saga. It’s a “wait and see” with Omega as well.
I am a bit wary the series might be hurrying to repeat the sleight-of-hand pulled with Rey, presenting a character as both a point of view and a mystery at the same time. The first two episodes provided for review hint something bigger is going on with Omega, and how grounded that thing might be might determine whether it works. It’s become a bit tiring to use “who is this character?” as a jumping-off point rather than providing an answer in the first place and building from there.
As far as connecting to other Star Wars characters we do have answers for, The Bad Batch instantly announces that this will be a cameo-heavy episode, and…that’s okay? Now that they’re not being as coy about it as Rebels was, it’s a lot of fun to see Saw Gerrera and a young Kanan Jarrus. (Even if the latter cameo does instantly contradict the Kanan backstory comic released by Marvel a few years ago.)
When the Bad Batch were introduced in The Clone Wars I found them boring, their action figure-ready powers not any more compelling than the clones and Jedi we already had. They still seem a strange choice for headliners when characters like Ahsoka are operating at the same time. More so than The Clone Wars, The Bad Batch feels like a deep cut, a completionist tale that may struggle to hold fans. While comparisons between the avuncular Batch and Omega’s relationships with Din Djarin and Grogu are inevitable, this is no The Mandalorian in terms of either content or accessibility.

Installing Glowicons on Amiga 3.1.4
I thought fancy icons had to be downloaded but I discovered in this video (by The Guru Meditation) that it’s part of the official AmigaOS 3.1.4 distibution.
In a nutshell, you should mount the Storage floppy disk image that came with your 3.1.4 distribution when you bought it (you did buy it, didn’t you?) and execute this script;
copy storage3.1.4:glowicons/#? sys: clone buf 10 all
This will replace the default icons and make things a little more colourful (don’t forget to increase the number of colours used by the Workbench using the Screenmode Preferences app.

Simon Caruso

The Loop…. un rapport avec la série Tales from the Loop?

The 50 greatest movies never made, de Joshua Hull (chez Abrams Books).

L’album Sheer Heart Attack, ou alors News of the world. Never gonna give you up, Never gonna let you down, Never gonna run around and desert you, Never gonna make you cry, Never gonna say goodbye, Never gonna tell a lie and hurt you. Comment ferais-tu pour t’évader de prison? Facile.

New from Every Movie Has a Lesson by Don Shanahan: MOVIE REVIEW: Gemini Man

(Image: polygon.com)
GEMINI MAN— 2 STARS
Ang Lee’s new actioner Gemini Man is the cinematic embodiment of the figure of speech “chasing your tail.” A reminder from The Free Dictionary, defines that idiom as “to take action that is ineffectual and does not lead to progress” and “refers to how a dog can exhaust itself by chasing its own tail.” Boy, is that ever this movie. You have a multiple Academy Award-winning filmmaker chasing a technological benchmark that the industry cannot match. And you have a lead actor exhausting himself (and us) literally, instead of just figuratively, chasing his own tail.
Graying through his temples and whiskers, Will Smith plays his authentic 51 years of age as ultra-professional government asset Henry Brogan. The old guard assassin wants peace after losing his “feel” and growing a conscience after completing his 72nd confirmed kill. Seafront solitude with a little boat awaits Henry in Buttermilk Sound, Georgia south of Savannah. After demonstrating his chops in the opening scene, Smith’s confident exasperation and desire for this slowdown fits the actor’s appeal.
LESSON #1: “TO THE NEXT WAR, WHICH IS NO WAR” — This quote is Henry Brogan’s shared signature toast with his former brothers-in-arms from the old Persian Gulf and Somalia days, which include Jack (Red Sparrow’s Douglas Hodge) and Baron (Benedict Wong of Doctor Strange. The vibe is two-fold. First, there’s a celebration of success in making the world a better place with each dispatched despot and a survivalist wish of someday putting the bullets and triggers away.
Sure enough, retirement is short-lived when Henry learns he was fed spiked intel where the mark he sniped was someone of a less criminal background than he was told. Brogan and Danny Zakarweski (Mary Elizabeth Winstead, bringing only middling sidekick value), the burned babysitter agent who helps him, become loose-ends for erasure by the order of their head government spook employer Clay Verris (Clive Owen, dialed to 50% intensity). Globetrotting from Georgia and Cartagena in the Western Hemisphere to Belgium and Budapest in the eastern one, the chase is on.
The salt-grained rub is Henry’s indomitable opponent at every stop is someone younger, stronger, and faster with recognizable facial features and training. Over 20 years ago when cloning was the rage, Verris used Henry’s DNA as a test to create an experimental line of expendable soldiers packaged with fewer human flaws and more programmed discipline. The force matching Henry’s every movie is his 23-year-old homegrown duplicate raised by Verris as his own adoptive son and following his every command.
LESSON #2: SO MUCH FOR SUN TZU — Paraphrasing, knowing your enemy better than you know yourself is quickly derailed when your enemy is you. Insert the Dramatic Chipmunk, but watch out for the groan-inducing “clones are still people too” and “they get choices too” wet blanket lessons that preach and follow. Gemini Man becomes a battle of seasoned wisdom versus the superior vigor of youth. Brains tend to always beat brawn, and you can see the end result a continent away.
Through de-aging special effects and digital doubles, Smith plays and voices his own “Junior.” This glaze, if you will, is very well done compared to other incarnations we’ve seen with this performance technology. Most of the time, mouths and expressions match with minimal, though noticeable, creepiness. It takes some getting used to, but it’s still Will Smith. Like most of his duds over the course of the last decade, the fit action star is never the movie’s problem.
Plenty of keen and sleek aesthetics are fair to compliment here. The team of stunt coordinator Brad Martin (Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice) and fight choreographer Jeremy Marinas (The Fate of the Furious) executed action sequences that are kinetic and often clever. Two-time production design Oscar nominee Guy Hendrix Dyas (Inception, Passengers) and the art departments created vast arenas for these battles out of the worldly locales. Academy Award-winning cinematographer Dion Beebe (Chicago) shot them bright and tight while long-time Lee editing collaborator and fellow two-time Oscar nominee Tim Squyres (Life of Pi) stitched the work together with deft pacing.
Much ballyhoo is being made about the high frame rate shooting used to enliven all this action. Matching his 2016 effort on Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk, Ang Lee shot this film in full 4K HD for large scale 3D at a 120 fps clip, exponentially higher than the standard 24 fps rate. Good luck finding a theater or setting that can do Gemini Man full justice. There’s not a single theater screen in the country that can perform all three of those specifications and only 14 than can hit the 3D and the frame rate without the 4K HD. Cue your shrug of disappointment.
We can admire Lee for aiming towards new technological heights, but this reeks of hubris over smarts. Upwards of $136 million is a great deal of money and effort to waste on what amounts to an artistic STEM experiment where the intended visual detail and sensory effect will be lost on over 99% of audiences. If home viewing is the second wave of hope for this wannabe blockbuster to make an impression, even the current 4K HD televisions will have a difficult time hitting those technical specifications.
It is unfortunately understandable that this film probably could not be marketed to the masses without revealing the younger doppelganger crux. What a shame. Such a discovery should have been built as a jarring jaw-dropper rather than a foregone conclusion. The trouble is too often production secrets like that cannot be dependably kept safe in this day and age of scoop culture. That and, if you hold your bucket of popcorn to your ear, you can probably still hear the short-sighted marketing gurus at Paramount clamoring that two Will Smiths are better than one. This is not the 1990s or early 2000s Will Smith anymore. He was lucky with Aladdin but he’s not an A-list draw.
Gemini Man could have been something far greater if it traded much of that polish for punch. Other than the inventiveness of the action, there is zero to few potential thrills to be had when you can see every spot coming. The look is all there, right down to the close-up shot selection framed to capture the steely moments ripe for emotional stamping. There’s just no storytelling strength behind those hard stares. One of the mano-y-mano moments in the movie lets loose the clunker of a line “none of this is necessary” and it feels self-incriminating.
This original premise, scripted out by Game of Thrones czar David Benioff and Goosebumps writer David Lemke with a revision from Billy Ray of Captain Phillips, feels very much like a low-end Philip K. Dick concept. A hero is in minor peril wrapped in easy clues with the lightest whiff of unexplored science fiction floating in the background. There is a market for that to a degree. Preposterousness can work around being ambiguous and ill-defined if it has an interesting edge (look no further than the best of Dick). Gemini Man, with all its finely sharpened pixels, cannot lacerate our enthusiasm.

NOLAN.
With some of the most well-known and respected movies in cinema history, Christopher Nolan embodies the phrase “less is more”. Only having written 15 films in his entire career, Nolan is world renowned for his psychologically exerting films and ground breaking screenplays.
Alongside many films of Director Christopher Nolan is mastermind composer, Hans Zimmer. I’m a huge fan of the ‘dynamic duo’, as I like to call them, and will attach my song recommendations from each film’s soundtrack that Zimmer composed.
Hold on to your hats (lol @theprestige), because Nolan plans to ‘wow’ us all over again with his upcoming war film: Dunkirk. Based on true events, Dunkirk features many faces familiar in Nolan’s previous movies, such as veterans Tom Hardy and Cillian Murphy. Yet, newcomers like One Direction fan-favorite Harry Styles and Oscar winner Mark Rylance join the cast to make the new Nolan movie better than what we’re expecting. As excited as we are for the Oscar nominated director and screenwriter’s new film, his previous works will stick with us no matter how hard we try to digest what the heck happened at the end of Interstellar. So that takes us right to our next Nolan movie, the survival space feature starring Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway, and Jessica Chastain: INTERSTELLAR.
One thing’s for certain: I will never look at an ocean wave the same way again. Nothing stops this father from getting back to his kids, but, with the world on the brink of exodus, Cooper (McConaughey) may not make it back in time. The film also portrays a star studded cast with Oscar winners Casey Affleck and Anne Hathaway as well as two time Oscar nominated Jessica Chastain. Yet, we can’t forget Michael Caine’s devious plans for the future of Earth and, heartbreakingly, Matt Damon’s betrayal as Dr. Mann. Yet, everything from droids TARS and CASE to Hans Zimmer’s genius soundtrack, Interstellar is a film that could possibly be relevant in the future…good thing we know five-dimensional beings exist to lead us through black holes. Hey, at least Matthew McConaughey looks damn good for 156 years old. (Song Recommendations: No Time for Caution, Cornfield Chase)
Speaking of Hathaway and Zimmer, let’s dive into Nolan’s epic Batman Trilogy, primarily The Dark Knight. Perhaps in my top 3 favorite films of all time, The Dark Knight is nothing short of a cinematic miracle. With Christian Bale dawning the mask of the Caped Crusader, 2008′s movie of the year brought with it suspense, drama, humor, terror, and allowed audiences to grasp the mind of a maniacal clown. Heath Ledger, may he rest in peace, brought the movie home–winning the Best Supporting Actor Oscar after his death, his family stepping in for him. My personal favorite out of the trilogy, The Dark Knight features a masterfully done soundtrack, dark and disturbingly good, by legend Hans Zimmer; I’ve attached, at the bottom of the article, a link of Zimmer and Nolan composing the Joker’s theme: Why So Serious?. A captivating script, unmatched cast -again filled with many familiar actors from other Nolan films- and a truly gripping villain, The Dark Knight will be revered on screen for many films to come. (Song Recommendations: Why So Serious?, Agent of Chaos)
Now, if we’re talking mind-blown then we’re obviously talking about Inception. Arguably one of the most complicated, gripping movies of the generation, Inception (and its ending) had me jumping out of my chair and screaming at my poor TV. Who knew the simple plot of a man wanting to return to his children would turn into a dream within a dream within a dream within a dream? Well, thank you, Mr. Nolan, for making it so much more than a trivial plot line as this A-list filled film won 4 Academy Awards and is featured in the 1001 Movies You Must See Before You Die book by Steven Schneider. But, the ending?! I’m still trying to get over it. My opinion: It was not a dream, but that may just be the ‘happy-ending’ me talking. With the best tag team around, the gurus of inception, those who are trained to infiltrate another’s dreams, fight with death, danger, and projections, the subconscious of the dreamer. The leader, Cobb (Leonardo DiCaprio), right-hand man, Arthur (Joseph Gordon-Levitt), prodigy, Ariadne (Ellen Page), crime boss, Saito (Ken Watanabe), and hunk, Eames (Tom Hardy), dive into the many layers of millionaire Robert Fischer’s (Cillian Murphy) mind, yet, risk being lost in limbo due to Cobb’s haunting, dead wife, Mal, (Marion Cotillard) plaguing the mission. One thing’s for sure, whenever watching Inception, keep your thoughts close and your projections closer. (Song Recommendations: Time, Dream Is Collapsing)
Although I could spend the entire night admiring Christopher Nolan’s work, I’d like to end the article with a film filled with magic, mayhem, and evil twins: The Prestige. By now a veteran of Nolan movies, Christian Bale plays, not one, but two characters, the Borden twins, in this 2006 movie, depicting a pair of frenemy magicians competing for the #1 slot in creating illusions. His competition? Hugh Jackman’s Robert Angier and the race to see who performs “The Transporting Man” better, but soon this turns into a scientific advancement so huge that Nikola Tesla even makes an appearance, in this case we mean the late, great David Bowie who played Tesla in The Prestige. Yes, cloning. But how far will these two rising magicians go to secure the leading spot? Let’s just say pretty far as it results in the demise of many friends, family, and a revolutionary trick’s exposure, breaking a magician’s primary rule: never to reveal their secrets. Although Hans Zimmer did not compose the music for this film, it still includes a great soundtrack and a feature written and played by Radiohead’s Thom Yorke. (Song Recommendations: Analyse by Thom Yorke)
This is the first, and definitely not the last, article about esteemed Director and Screenwriter Christopher Nolan. His films continue to move generations of audiences, all top rated on IMDB and other film sites, and a follow-up of his newest film, Dunkirk, should be soon to follow its release!

Some two dozen people dressed in yellow and green gathered at Rio de Janeiro’s Copacabana beach on August 23, in what seemed like yet another pro-Bolsonaro protest, commonly held to praise Brazil’s president since the COVID-19 pandemic began. But when a young man wearing a T-shirt with a skull-shaped image of the US flag began to speak, it became clear that there was something different — and slightly odd — about this gathering. “I’m going to use code for a few words so social media doesn’t censor me,” the young man says in a video of the event he posted on Facebook. He shows the group a poster with the heading “To Research,” bearing a list of terms most likely unknown to many Brazilians—“New World Order,” “Pizzagate,” “Operation Storm.” These terms all relate to QAnon — a US-born conspiracy movement that postulates that US President Donald Trump is fighting a global elite that runs a centuries-old pedophilia ring through a secret operation called “Storm.” The movement evolved out of the 2016 Pizzagate conspiracy theory, which claimed that Democratic Party officials, including Hillary Clinton, were running a secret child trafficking scheme run in the basement of a pizza parlor in Washington, DC. About a year after the theory was debunked, an anonymous user identifying as “Q Clearance Patriot” posted a cryptic message on the 4chan imageboard suggesting Clinton would be arrested in the following days — which never materialized. “Q” has subsequently posted several times claiming to have critical intel, and in the past three years, Q's anonymous followers have coalesced into a global collective delusion who puzzle over QAnon “drops,” with a presence on every major social media platform. QAnon emerged in the US, but its plasticity makes it easily adaptable in a Brazilian context. President Bolsonaro — a Trump-worshipping, coronavirus-skeptic — rode to power on the promise of ridding Brazil of corruption, leftism, and other evils, and whose legion of highly-connected supporters vehemently distrust traditional media. It isn't surprising that QAnon terms would eventually be slapped onto protest signs at a pro-Bolsonaro gathering in Copacabana beach. What is perhaps somewhat surprising is the name of one YouTube channel, written on one of the signs amid a list of must-follow QAnon YouTubers: “Ensinamentos da era de Aquário,” or “Teachings of the age of Aquarius” in Portuguese. Although that name doesn't immediately signal QAnon lore, this is one of the largest YouTube channels that openly supports QAnon in Brazil. Its owner, Luciano Cesa, has amassed a legion of 200,000 subscribers in less than two years, and his success signals a growing interest — especially among Brazilian New Age groups — in the movement's beliefs. These spiritual and pseudoscientific communities, which encompasses a range of practices such as shamanism, crystal healing, reiki, yoga, and numerology, are playing a prominent role in introducing and domesticating QAnon narratives to non-American audiences.
From New Age musician to QAnon influencer
Luciano Cesa explains the meaning of a famous David Dees illustration on QAnon to his Brazilian followers. More about Dees here and here.
Long before Luciano Cesa became a QAnon adherent, he founded a music label called “New Age Music,” producing over 15 albums. Cesa has played in various bands, weddings, and public schools around his home state of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil’s southernmost. In November 2018, Cesa posted one of his first videos with spiritual content called, “The divine intersection in Brazil’s liberation,” in which he praises Bolsonaro’s recent victory and then shares a slew of New Age and self-help content. On April 7, Cesa published a video with direct QAnon-related theories called “Armed forces in action in the whole world,” claiming that Trump was preparing to conduct “mass arrests worldwide.” His channel exploded — the video attracted tens of thousands of views (over 197,000 to this day), compared to other videos that barely passed the 10,000-view mark. The data below, generated social media analytics tool Popsters, shows the exact moment of the explosion:
Data from social media analytics tool Popsters on the channel “Ensinamentos da Era de Aquário.”
From that moment, Cesa has published a plethora of specifically QAnon-related videos, which frequently attract more than 100,000 views. In late May, Olavo de Carvalho, a former astrologer largely credited with being Bolsonaro’s ideological guru, shared a video by Cesa. In June, Cesa began offering live broadcasts to give his viewers updates on QAnon-related theories, supported by PowerPoint slides with information allegedly received from “privileged sources.” Cesa takes questions from the audience through live chats and solicits donations through YouTube Giving. Cesa serves up a version of the usual QAnon menu: COVID-19 is a false crisis created by the “dark elite,” interchangeably referred as “reptilians,” “deep state,” “the Illuminati,” and “the New World Order”; German Chancellor Angela Merkel, US Senator Bernie Sanders, and US actor Angelia Jolie, among other personalities, have been arrested and charged with child trafficking and their images that appear in the media are clones or doppelgängers; Recent earthquakes in Central America were caused by explosions in the “secret tunnels” used to smuggle children; one of those secret tunnels is underneath the famous Sugarloaf Mountain in Rio de Janeiro. Cesa did not reply to requests for comment on his work by Global Voices. In one significant sign of domestication of QAnon theories, Cesa claimed, on live broadcasts on August 23 and August 26, that João de Deus, Brazil’s disgraced spiritual leader arrested in 2018 after more than 500 women accused him of sexual assault, had accepted a plea bargain deal in which he would reveal that he used to organize orgies with minors for Brazil’s Supreme Court Ministers (Brazil's Supreme Court is seen as an enemy of Bolsonaro by his supporters). Deus did not negotiate any plea bargain deal with authorities, according to fact-checking agency Aos Fatos. Still, Cesa presented a single tweet by Alan Lopes, a Bolsonarista influencer, as evidence. The baseless claim spread virally on WhatsApp in Brazil via memes claiming that Deus was “the Brazilian Jeffrey Epstein.” Cesa has since deleted the two mentioned videos, but they were both re-uploaded by another account — likely one of his followers. Lopes has since deleted his tweet, but Google cache has preserved it.
Luciano Cesa shares a tweet by Alan Lopes as evidence that João de Deus, a spiritual leader who was arrested following accusations of sexual assault, would implicate Brazil's Supreme Court justices’ on a plea bargain deal. Deus has never signed any plea bargain deal with the authorities. Screenshot from YouTube.
Cesa’s videos stand out for the spiritualist, supernatural spin. He often offers live meditations for his followers. His worldview is underpinned by the idea that Trump, along with allies such as Bolsonaro, is a member of an “Earth alliance” who is helping a cohort of benign aliens to clean up dark forces and ultimately “transcend” to the Age of Aquarius, a period of enlightenment. While all of this might sound to many like something out of a space opera script, it’s recognizable to those familiar with decades-old UFO conspiracies. “It’s difficult to map these communities,” says Vitor Campanha, a researcher of sciences of religion at Federal University of Juiz de Fora, who studies UFO movements, “because people who gravitate toward what we call ‘New Age beliefs’ will never identify themselves as new agers. What some of them will say is that they have an independent spirituality.” Campanha told Global Voices that one way such communities describe themselves is as “searchers” — searchers for truth, for self-improvement. “These are also strong sharing cultures, so, if a person does a course of, say, shamanic cures, it’s likely they will also teach their own course. That’s why there is so much decontextualization, sometimes of ancient practices, in those so-called New Age circles.” As such, New Age communities have a few things in common with QAnon members, who often describe themselves as “researchers” open to new truths. QAnon conspiracies are often presented in incomplete tidbits — collections of loose terms and concepts which potential adherents are invited to explore on their own, and which they decontextualize and remix as they share their findings. The idea of a secret government that rules everything from the shadows is also rife in New Age circles. “Those are communities that distrust institutions, such as conventional science and dogmatic religions,” Campanha says, “so, I can definitely see this culture easily transferring themselves to those conspiracy ideas, with politicians who portray themselves as “outsiders,” such as Trump and Bolsonaro, being seen as antagonists against this shadow government.”
Journey of a follower
Mara Carvalho, 60, is a psychologist, numerologist, floral therapist, tarot reader, spiritualist writer, and up-and-coming YouTuber from Santo André, Brazil. Together with her friend, Márcia Rodrigues, she runs a small YouTube channel named “Tips for a good ascension.” The pair have published 614 videos over the course of 12 months, attracting a little over 1,200 subscribers. In the late 1990s, Mara Caravalho discovered the “Great White Brotherhood,” a theosophical concept referring to a group of enlightened beings (in many New Age communities, this is often used interchangeably with the Ashtar Command, a group of benign aliens). “I see myself as a disciple of the brotherhood, who don’t require rituals. It’s a direct connection I have with the masters, and I’ve had this connection for the past 22 years,” she told Global Voices. A majority of Mara Caravalho and Rodrigues’ videos feature them reading aloud texts about New-Age related topics. But in March 2020, with the start of the pandemic, they began to reference QAnon, in the form of mentions of “the cabal that rules the world,” and QAnon concepts like “the global reset.” Then, on June 6, Mara Caravalho published a video titled “Q, the plan to save the earth.” In it, she reads a text she says is “the most important I’ve ever read on this channel.” She is apparently unaware that the text she is reciting is a Portuguese translation of the seminal QAnon video “Q, the plan to save the earth,” originally uploaded in June 2018 by “Joe M,” one the most famous QAnon accounts on the internet. A few days later, Carvalho published a video called “Operação Storm,” referring to the QAnon belief in a massive clean-up of evil forces. In both videos, she references Luciano Cesa, who she says both she and Rodrigues follow closely because he gives “a spiritual dimension to that operation.” “After following Luciano Cesa, we got access to information about this undoing of the pedophile network. And one day, the spirituality told me that I had to talk about those things as well, even though I didn’t want to initially,” she said. “We are in the third world war, a war with biological weapons and information and counter-information.” When asked to describe her understanding of QAnon, she said: “For me, it’s a group that works for the light — that is helping to bring the truth to people.” There are many New Age channels and pages similar to Cesa and Carvalho in Brazil, which freely share QAnon conspiracies, such as the following:
YouTuber Gledison de Paula, on his channel Ascenção Planetária (Planetary Ascencion in Portuguese), recites a “channeled text” (how UFO believers designate messages received from aliens) explaining how the Pleiadians (a group of benign aliens, according to the conspiracy) are involved in “operation storm.” De Paula also runs a 12,000-member Facebook group and a Telegram channel.
Vilma Capuano, with 25,000 followers, is interested in shamanism, numerology, reiki, among others. She claims in this post that COVID-19 stands for “certificate of vaccination with artificial intelligence,” a widely debunked conspiracy theory. The text received over 800 reactions and 153 comments and is likely a translation of an English-language text.
With 80,000 members, “Start da 5a dimensão” (Start of the 5th dimension) is likely one of the largest New Age groups in the Portuguese language on Facebook. In this post, the administrators announce that Facebook deleted their parallel QAnon group, and advertise the creation of a new group. QAnon hashtags and symbols fully present here.
It is easy to dismiss such communities as essentially harmless. But, as seen above, those groups have consistently helped spread COVID-19 disinformation. And even more worrying are the several cases of violence carried out by QAnon supporters throughout the world. In February, a gunman in Germany opened fire in two shisha bars in Hanau, Germany, killing nine people. He left behind a digital trail of worship of US President Donald Trump and beliefs about QAnon’s child trafficking conspiracies. New Age communities, international in scope, provide a safe avenue for QAnon theories to spread from the US and adapt to contexts such as Brazil, while tapping into an audience that may or may not be part of Bolsonaro's main support base. In fact, it is precisely communities who claim to be apolitical, such as New Agers, who are especially vulnerable to the influence of fascist movements. On August 20, at a White House briefing, Donald Trump was asked directly about QAnon for the first time. “I don't know much about them, except that they like me very much,” he said. When a reporter followed up with an explanation that the crux of the theory was that the US President was fighting a cabal elite of child abusers, he answered: “I don't know about that, but is that supposed to be a bad thing?” Trump's clever reply — which simultaneously evaded the question while appearing to express support for the movement — highlighted the challenges that both reporters and society at large face when confronting conspiracy theorists.

how to start a business like Gofundme | HWINFOTECH
how to start a business like Gofundme - How to start a business like GoFundMe is a question that is being asked by many people in the internet marketing niche. The internet has revolutionized how we live and the way we make a living. If you have been online for some time, you probably already know that many of the great marketing gurus recommend that you go through Google's free site submission service and do it yourself.
So, why is it that many people ask how to start a business like GoFundMe when the answer is so simple. I know from experience because I did this and after a while, I realized that I would do anything for someone if I were them. I am not just saying this to get back at GoFundMe and to make them feel bad.
The fact is that if you had asked me if I wanted to pay to send five people money to bail me out, I would have said yes, because I have seen firsthand what GoFundMe is doing to help the less fortunate. Now, with all of that said, I also know that they could never compete with what I was willing to do for charity, so I decided to do the right thing and I went ahead and did it myself.
Of course, I know that others will try to tell you that this was the wrong thing to do, but the truth is that the wrong thing to do is to go ahead and accept the first offer that comes your way. When it comes to how to start a business like GoFundMe, be careful what you wish for. Once I started the campaign, I found that there was no turning back because I wanted to do my part.
You see, GoFundMe offers many different reward programs that are going to allow you to earn money for doing good deeds. However, if you want to earn some serious cash, you should consider joining one of the many paid programs available online. People who do not know how to start a business like GoFundMe have no idea what I am talking about and they think that the only way to make money online is to work for other people.
If you want to make a large amount of money from your campaigns, you can take advantage of sites that are going to allow you to make money posting on their free sites as well as those that charge you for advertising. If you did some research, you would discover that the sites that offer these types of products do so because they are giving away their products in exchange for your referrals.
It is important to note that if you are going to pay to post on a GoFundMe campaign, you can easily earn hundreds of dollars a day. At the same time, you can earn money on the side by writing articles or blog posts for websites that are willing to pay you for the work that you have done for them.
There are a lot of different ways that you can start a business like GoFundMe that is going to allow you to earn as much as you can without putting any money out there. So if you are trying to decide whether or not you should try one of these campaigns, I highly recommend that you do so.
