i think that zhongli would be :((( the sweetest boyfriend okay :((( he's just an old man who enjoys the slow-paced life he's got now and i can imagine how happy he'd be with someone by his side too :(((

he'd go out of his way every morning to bring you a drink if you work somewhat close enough to the funeral parlor, even if it means he's a few minutes late to his own shift because he loves watching your eyes light up at the sight of him (he may have teased you about whether or not you're more excited to see him or the drink) 🤧

i think he loves subtle displays of affection like holding hands omg he loves holding hands for sure especially if you're on one of your usual strolls and he's telling you one of his many stories of liyue's history you'll always squeeze his hand if he gets too off track and you start to get confused LOL
