Comfort for HadesHypnos

It's not very often he has to deal with Olympus but he's being called and called again so he goes. There's something big coming and they are narrowing down the hit and the time frame of it and the threat is very real.

Hades and his brothers are the main three going up against this threat when it does come through and it's just the three of them with Athena and Apollo in this meeting and it's sworn not to leave the five standing there. With no real idea what it is - there's doubt in the back of his mind about facing this but he's not going to leave the world to bleed - not again. So, Hades is prepared to fight. As are his brothers.

Before he can escape Zeus asks about Hypnos though, asks how his boy is doing... Ah, his brother really is lucky that Hades has calmed down plenty compared to who he was before and that there was a threat looming - one strong enough to take gods out so he wasn't going to let this get to him just yet. There would be a time and a place to finish Zeus off.

As the day approaches, he still hasn't said a word to Hypnos about it, it really has been kept under wraps better than he imagined and he can only guess because it's serious. His time with Hypnos has been rather needy though, he's kept the older god in the underworld for more nights than he's usually comfortable with, but it was safer there. He's worshipped Hypnos many times just in case these might be the last moments they get, and he's memorized every sound he's drawn from the other.

They've had casual date nights and have had nights in, Hades has slept and let Hypnos put him to sleep and Hades hasn't fought Hypnos on much - which should be a red flag and was, but Hades brushed it off as best he could knowing the time was coming... and when it did - Hades disappeared.

It was a war, a greater god among another realm and it was months of this war between the five against one and his army. When the months ended though Hades wasn't finished, his brother weak from the fight and Hades acted on it - dragging him into Tartarus and spending an additional month there. Keeping his brother weak and tortured with no end in sight and that was simply the warning before letting him go, before Hades sought out Hypnos, still damaged from the war, bloody and beaten in ways only another entity could manage when he drags his feet into Hypnos room though. Some sympathy given only for the condition he's in, but he knows he's in for it once he's healed, for now though - this is what he needs to heal.

"I missed you..." Falls from his dry lips, his body relaxing for the first time in months as he crawls into the others bed. He'll beg for forgiveness once he's better, for now he uses weak shadows to move blankets for him and to cover them back up as Hades wraps his arm over Hypnos and rests his head on his chest, "I missed you." Is spoken again, the fear of almost not making it, of possibly never seeing Hypnos again hits him - the aftershock of the war hits him and the last time he cried was when he saw the life leave his wife... it wasn't a sob but tears slipped past closed eyes and fell against Hypnos chest. "I love you." Is the last thing he says before he gives in to sleep. He'll tell Hypnos everything once he wakes up.
