did the fmk wheel for hieron characters because i had too much time on the bus

before voting spin the wheel for a NPC or PC from hieron. if you dont know who the character is look them up on fatt.wiki or spin until you get someone u know, whichever is more fun

this is almost every character on the wiki for the hieron seasons plus marielda, though i've excluded characters who are kids for most or all of their time in the show, which is why no benjamin etc. please feel free to re-spin if you get a name and are just like who the fuck is that-- as my personal selection of who counts as a major NPC would be very arbitrary i have left in some characters i have no clue about

feeling so insane about hadrian friendsatthetable tonight. i love art as a player so much and i love when he gets sidetracked and drags the whole party into a ten minute long philosophical discussion and im NOT kidding and its so obvious that art has put so much time and thought into hadrian as a character and where he stands as a lawful paladin and a devout follower of samothes and what he thinks his role IS as a man of faith.

and im so attracted to this deliberate thoughtfulness that guides hadrian and his actions that i get kind of lost in it and get. not blindsided, because its so obvious that it was going to end like this and so true to his character, but. idk. theres something so eye-opening and awakening when he does something like denying mercy to a criminal.

The front garden was a bad sign. The bushes had gotten noticeably taller; the perennials Rosana had planted had come up again, but it was another year’s growth and not the blooms that had been there when he left.

So Hadrian braced himself. He carried himself and his pack down the path outside, up the front step, and had to set his pack down so he could fish out his key.

It wasn’t necessary. He’d barely bent down to unclasp it when the door opened. “Hadrian?”

He looked up, and it didn’t feel too different from the blessings he’d received at the church before he left. “Hey, honey.”

Rosana was as beautiful as Hadrian had remembered. Her hair was pulled up on the top of her head, and she stepped out onto the front step with bare feet. He felt a little twist of guilt at the tears on her cheeks. She embraced him - he wrapped his arms around her waist and planted his chin on her shoulder. “It’s good to see you,” he murmured.

She swallowed; he could feel it. “You too.” After a long second, she pulled back. “Come in. Please.”

The house was mostly as he’d left it. Everything was where it had been, except for a new table near the front. “This is nice,” he said, running a hand across the top.

Rosana laughed, just barely, a melancholy sound. “I thought you’d like it.” There was a sudden clamor from deeper in the house, and she did the same sad laugh. “Uh oh, now you’re in for it.”

The pounding of footsteps. “DAD!”

Hadrian didn’t have time to brace himself again. Benjamin burst into the front room, nearly bowling him over as he threw his arms around him. “Dad, you’re back!”

“Hey, buddy!” He wrapped an arm around his son’s shoulders. Shoulders, because he came up almost to his chest now. “Man, you’re tall.”

Benjamin giggled against him. “My teachers say the same thing.”

Hadrian held him tighter. He looked up at his wife with a wordless question: has it really been that long? She just kept smiling that sad smile.
