DAYS characters and hugging

Tsukushi: Rarely hugs people on his own unless you ask him to, but gladly receives them. Very soft and very warm. On his way to becoming hug champion once he gets older and stronger.

Kazama: Tackle-hugger. Has probably knocked someone over before. Hugs no-touchy people just to mess with them. Ranges between playful and affectionately cuddly depending on whether or not you’re Tsukushi.

Mizuki: Bear hugs. Undisputed best hugger on the team and possibly in the entire high school soccer world. Excels at group-hugging several people at once, especially underclassmen. Prone to back pats.

Usui: Looks gentler than Mizuki, but do not be fooled; sometimes his hugs have a distinctly threatening feel to them. Otherwise very capable of sweet, gentle mom-hugs.

Kimishita: Look, don’t try. Just don’t, unless you want an elbow in the gut or a knee where the sun don’t shine. Exceptions may apply if you’re his dad or someone he otherwise likes or respects too much to protest.

Ooshiba: The complete opposite. Clingy. Globs on and refuses to let go like a six-foot koala. Complains when you try to shove him off. Only goes for hugs if he trusts you enough though.

Haibara: Easily underestimated because of his height, but shockingly strong. Can and will pick you up even if you’re taller than him. Can also very much crush your ribcage.

Inohara: The team’s second hug champion after Mizuki. Has the height advantage, but is more careful and doesn’t squish people like Mizuki does. Likes to just let you lean against him and put a hand on your back.

Ubukata: Unless you’re a girl, don’t bother. Not a fan of affection in general, but boys in particular are banned from touching her. Exceptions possible for Hoshina and maybe Tsukushi if they asked very nicely.

Indou: Sees himself as Mizuki’s rival for hug champion. Actually gives pretty good hugs, but can’t defeat Mizuki by a long shot. Tends to go overboard and crush the air out of people’s lungs.

Narukami: Will probably agree to hug you, but there’s a good chance he’ll also try to crush your ribcage for the funsies. Approach at your own risk. Post-victory jump-tackles are generally harmless though.

Hoshina: Generally too polite to hug people and gets awkward when others hug him. Would still offer a gentle hug to comfort a loved one, after asking politely of course.

Kaidou: Joins Kazama in the No-Respect-For-Personal-Space Squad. Will probably surprise-tackle you or throw an arm around your shoulders. Will probably also mess up your hair.

Aiba: The third in that squad. More prone to one-armed side hugs than Kaidou, but also more prone to getting all up in your face for the hell of it. Also prone to snaking his arms around your waist from behind and startling you.

Nakazawa: Not interested in hugs, unless you’re Junko, in which case he’ll desperately cling to you while begging you not to leave.

Top Ten Sports Anime Husbands

So I saw this thing going around tumblr not long ago and thought I would adapt it.  Anyone wants to do it too, feel free, but I’m not tagging anyone!

These are ordered, more or less by importance to me lol  Gonna be long

10.  Fuji Syusuke

Probably my first yandere, way back from high school.  Tenipuri was probably also my first real sports anime.  I literally thought he was a girl for like the first three episodes lol  But despite being, imo, possessive and teasing, he’s fiercely loyal, and will fuck shit up.  The lazy genius

9. Seung-gil Lee

I love me a cranky Korean boy.  I feel him on a spiritual level – I don’t like the general public and am suspicious of those trying to be friends with me lol  I also have terrible fashion sense and love my pet to death.  He’s just really interesting, and so vicious… already might be a theme 

8. Narumiya Mei

There always have to be one arrogant ball of sunshine, right?  Mei is so larger than life – completely a drama queen, but somehow without being super obnoxious.  He has the skills to back up his arrogant.  He is smol and extra™  (Although, is 5’7 really that short?)  He looks cuddly though, if you can get him to be still long enough lol 

7. Kakei Shun

The epitome of sarcastic and chill.  Kid was hanging out with an American street gang drinking at like 13.  He’s a badass, but not mean.  Is completely unintimidated by Hiruma.  You can almost feel the eyeroll when he deals with his teammates, but he’s loyal to them.  Intelligent and smoking hot 

6. Haibara Jirou

True smol and 100% adorable.  He’s 90% hair, but it kind of makes you want to run your hands through it.  He’s the heart of his friends and is surprisingly sweet.  Has a great sense of humor and is really, really caring.  Kind of secondary mom friend.  Unintentionally, and intentionally funny.  Plus has an adorable confidence issue.

5. Otabek Altin

Like Kakei, he’s the chill one.  Serious and mature, he’s surprisingly kind.  Somehow puts up with being surrounded by a bunch of extra fools.  Does things his own way, but is also pretty much the mom friend.  Secondary smol one, but it doesn’t even matter cause his shoulders take one’s breath away~

4. Akashi Seijuro

Anyone that knows me, knows that I fucking love yanderes.  I don’t know why, I just… do.  Like if I met one in real life I would run screaming, but in anime? Dayum.  Akashi is lethally intelligent, a little psychotic in the beginning, but he owned who and what he is.  I like characters that have no sense of humor but are some how funny anyway. His nuances make him super interesting. 

3. Yukimura Seiichi

Basically the Akashi of Tenipuri, right?  Control is his trigger and he has to always be in control.  One of three smiling evils on this list – looks pretty and sweet, but will fucking eviscerate you if given a reason.  Like Akashi, he’s delightfully non-functional, but is somehow terrifying despite, and not because, of this. 

1. Kominato Ryousuke

Okay, so I couldn’t choose a number one.  I love the last two equally.  Ryousuke is probably the most functionally savage character I’ve ever seen in sports anime (for like, non-creepy, legitimate yandere).  He’s not gross, but he will fuck you up.  Has an adorable complex about his height (smol and terribile™).  Wears that yandere smile beautifully.  He teases everyone, and can absolutely be vicious if provoked, but he’s not nasty for the sake of being nasty and is actually pretty awesome older brother figure.  To both his real brother and the other players. 

1. Miyuki Kazuya

Man, I don’t even know what to say about this emotionally constipated idiot catcher. He’s so beautiful it practically hurts to look at him, but he’s pretty messed up to.  He pushes people away using teasing and brutal honesty, but is actually pretty lonely inside.  He is also one of the most supporting boys in all of Seidou and is always going above and beyond for his teammates, he just shows it badly.  Doesn’t know how to interact very well, leading to some pretty big blunders (ie Nabe situation), or what to do with friendship.  Probably didn’t even realize he had friends until well after he’s named captain.  Being captain overwhelms him cause again, he’s bad at people.  But no one cares more than him.  Says he’s cold and uncaring, but probably the biggest softie, besides Mochi lol

Haibara Jirou

Not subtlein the slightest.  He actually is capableof subtle, he just doesn’t bother with it much. Tends to live things out loud.

That beingsaid, he doesn’t get jealous that easily. He’s not a jealous kind of guy. He trusts you, and knows you will always pick him.

His jealousytends to manifest in huffiness and glaring. Does not try to control you ortell you to do things.  Possessiveness,outside of certain situations, is gross for him.  If he’s jealous, he owns it as his problemnot yours.

Of coursehe’s adorable when jealous, exactly because he thinks jealousy is petty andchildish.  Tries to internalize, excepthe’s terrible at it.  Hence huffy andpouty.

Reassure thisboy, because at the very base of it, any jealousy he feels is aboutinsecurity.  It’s an emotion he doesn’tlike to feel, but does anyway.  He adoresyou so much, the thought of losing you scares him to death.

Won’t sayanything to you about being jealous, but gets extra cuddly and wants you toplay with his hair.  Will totally laydown with his head in your lap and chatter away – this way he gets to know yourattention is fully on him without being creepy about it.

Fuji Syusuke

This boy ispretty solidly yandere, so he is territorial AF.  It’s not that he’s jealous per se – he has nodoubt about your feelings for him and he trusts you, but he does not like others infringing on histerritory.

You are histerritory.

He is theking of subtlety, unless he doesn’t want to be. Depends on the situation.  Can bemanipulative, mostly of situations, because he finds it amusing to get peopleto move to his will.  He always wins.

To anyonethat knows him, his ire is easily discernable. His smile gets extra sharp and he starts drawling.  Usually an indication to run.  Anyone who doesn’t knowhim can tell when the hair on the back of their next stands up.

If he’sdispleased by something you’ve done regarding someone else, something he seesas threatening to your relationship, he tends to back off.  You he won’t threaten, but it doesn’t matter,because his silence is worse than if he’d actually got mad at you.

It’s prettymuch known at whatever school he goes to that no one messes with what’s his –his friends, or you.

Tachibana Kippei

It wouldprobably take a lot to get him jealous. He can be kind of rough, but he’s generally pretty laid back.  He respects you fully, and jealousy isbeneath him.

Doesn’t meanhe doesn’t get irritated when others flirt with you though.  It’s bad enough that his teammates try to runinterference when he’s not around.

Neverquestions you though, it’s not your fault you’re amazing.  Of course others want you forthemselves.  Will subtlety put himself betweenyou and whoever it was that was getting too close, grabbing your attention witha question or a request.  Makes the otherperson well aware of what he’s doing.

You know tooof course.

Because herespects you, if you do something that bothers him, he addresses it upfront.  Requests that you do thesame.  Basically, he wants an open lineof dialogue between you.

Only hisclosest friends know how upset he gets on very rare occasions when he finds outsomeone confessed to you.  It’s thesecret side of him he keeps hidden because it’s a little humiliating andjuvenile.  

Doesn’t holda grudge though.

Day 26 - Most underrated character (part 1)

Mizuki was the best part of this show. I really expected him to be the normal type of team captain who was there, gave really personal speeches, and was just the dad. BUT he was a little dork and he pulled a Hinata by sounding out the noises that the balls would make. I love this dork and more people need to love him too!
