The Stylist's Guide To Wearing Lehenga For A Wedding Guest
The Stylist's Guide To Wearing Lehenga For A Wedding Guest
Lehenga is a popular traditional attire that is widely worn by women across India, especially for weddings and other auspicious occasions. A Lehenga is a three-piece ensemble that consists of a long skirt, a blouse or choli, and a dupatta. It is available in a wide range of fabrics, designs, and styles, making it a versatile option for women of all ages and body types for partywear new lehenga designs.
Tumblr media
However, choosing the perfect lehenga and styling it for a wedding can be overwhelming. In this stylist's guide, we will share some useful tips on how to wear a lehenga for a wedding, and how to accessorize it to enhance your look.
Choose the Right Fabric: The first step in choosing a lehenga is selecting the right fabric. Wedding ceremonies are long and tiring, and you will be wearing your lehenga for an extended period. It is important to opt for a lightweight and comfortable fabric like georgette, chiffon, or crepe. These fabrics are breathable and easy to move in, making them perfect for a wedding ceremony.
Pick the Right Style: Lehengas come in different styles, such as A-line, fishtail, and circular. It is essential to choose a style that complements your body shape. For instance, if you are petite, opt for a circular lehenga with a short choli or blouse. On the other hand, if you have an hourglass figure, choose an A-line lehenga that accentuates your curves.
Choose the Right Color: Weddings are all about colors, and choosing the right color for your lehenga can make or break your look. Opt for bright and bold colors like red, maroon, and pink, as they are perfect for weddings. If you prefer pastels, choose colors like peach, mint, and lavender.
Accessorize Well: Accessories can make or break your look, so it is important to accessorize well. For a lehenga, opt for traditional jewelry like a maang tikka, choker necklace, and earrings. You can also add a pair of bangles or a bracelet to complete the look. However, it is important to avoid overdoing it with the jewelry. If you are wearing heavy jewelry, keep your makeup subtle, and vice versa.
Pick the Right Footwear: Choosing the right footwear is crucial when wearing a lehenga. Opt for comfortable and stylish footwear like juttis, wedges, or platform heels. It is important to choose footwear that complements your lehenga and enhances your overall look.
Choose the Right Hairstyle: The right hairstyle can enhance your overall look and make you stand out at the wedding. Opt for hairstyles like a bun or a braid, as they complement the lehenga well. You can also add fresh flowers to your hair to add a touch of elegance and beauty.
In conclusion, wearing a lehenga for a wedding can be an overwhelming task, but with the right guidance and styling tips, it can be a fun and enjoyable experience. Choosing the right fabric, style, color, accessorizing well, picking the right footwear, and choosing the right hairstyle are some essential tips that will help you wear a lehenga confidently and make a lasting impression at the wedding.

Exploring The Benefits You Can Enjoy From Using A Mobile Hairdresser
Do you struggle to find the time to go to your local hairdresser for your regular trim and colour? Maybe your life is just so busy and sometimes you wish that the salon could simply come to you. It is exactly the service that the team at AMB Beauty has to offer. Their team of hair specialist bring not only the salon but also their premium care options and excellent service to the comfort of your home. While you might have the kids running around in the garden or your casserole going into the oven, you can sit back and enjoy a relaxing session of beauty and being spoiled by the professionals in the field.
While there are some obvious benefits to rather opting for using the services of a mobile local hairdresser, the list of pros you can enjoy from such a service is far longer than what you might have expected and their services come in handy in times when you need it the most.
Did you recently have surgery or maybe you are recovering from an injury? It might even be that an aged family member is staying with you and taking your beloved to the salon is just becoming a tiring exercise. Then you can enjoy the benefits of having someone come to your home to take care of your hair. Feeling not so great is already bad enough, but doing so while hating the way you look in the mirror is even far worse. So why suffer and feel neglected when you can simply opt to call the services of the team of AMB Beauty and feel yourself again.
While it is a good reason to go to the local salon for some luxurious indulgence, many prefer the comfort and privacy of their own homes and would much rather enjoy a deep pampering session in the comfort of their safe environment. Have your hair cut while your pot of coffee is brewing in the background and simply treasure being spoiled without going anywhere at all.
Hair emergencies are another reason to call on your mobile hairdresser. These emergencies can occur after a hair DIY experiment has gone bad and you simply can’t dare to show your face outside. Maybe you have to prepare for a special occasion and need to get ready in a certain location, then you know who to call. Celebrations, events and weddings are all different occasions that require the special and professional care of a mobile hairstylist. These professionals come with all the tools, products and accessories you might need to get the hairdo you desire for your special day. As they are so hands-on and highly skilled, the team can also take care of your entire entourage of friends in no time at all.
It is however not only celebratory events that require the assistance of mobile hairdressers. Live events are other locations when you might very well just call in the team of hair gurus to take care of all the hair needs required to make your guests stand out. Thus, for the look and appeal you might desire on stage, a mobile team is a way to go.
Lastly, when you book your mobile hairdresser, you can be sure that there is no lines or ques to wait in. They come to you and will be there at the time you’ve discussed. No waiting and wasting of time as your trusted hairstyling studio on wheels takes care to ensure prompt service, outstanding customer care and excellence in hair care you can always rely on. Thus, for easy and effortless hair care, you should speak to your reputable local hairdresser near you, speak to a team such as the one at AMB Beauty.
About Us: Our team at AMB Beauty is proud of our reputation as the on-demand hair beauty providers across the UK. Every member of our team is completely qualified and highly skilled to deliver excellence in hair care regardless of whether it is in the boardroom, hotel room or the comfort of your home. Whether you are shaking your feathers for the huge event of getting married or simply needs to look your best when you don’t have the time to step out into your favourite salon, we are here to provide you with excellence in beauty care. Visit us at https://amb-beauty.com/ and see what we have on offer to assist you in beauty.

Royal Wedding Face-Off
2018 - the year of Royal Weddings. Princess Eugenie got married this past weekend, and Rachel Zane married the UK’s #1 most eligible bachelor in May. How do these two weddings compare to Princess Kate and Prince William’s wedding back in 2011? Let’s find out. I’ll be using twelve categories to determine who had the best wedding. 3 points for the category winner, 2 for second place, and 1 point for the loser. The bride with the most overall points is the official Royal Wedding Queen (although we all know who the real queen is here - quite literally Kate Middleton).
1. Wedding Dress
Tumblr media
Are long sleeves a royal wedding dress requirement? Probably. Either way I’m a huge fan. I do love all three dresses, so this is a hard choice. Eugenie’s is a little ill-fitting, especially through the sleeves. Meghan’s is very chic, but not quite “royal” enough in my opinion (and Prince George’s). Kate looks like a dream, going to have to give her this one.
Kate (3 points)
Meghan (2 points)
Eugenie (1 point)
2. Train
Tumblr media
The best part of a royal wedding dress is the train, obviously. Meghan and Eugenie both had an advantage here as they got married at the same venue with that large staircase, perfect for train photos. Although Meghan’s train was underwhelming compared to Kate and Eugenie’s, her veil was extremely long and dramatic. But, I’m giving this one to Eugenie because I LOVE a huge bow.
Eugenie (3 points)
Kate (2 points)
Meghan (1 point)
3. Accessories
Tumblr media
Let’s see the royal bling. I’m really digging Eugenie’s emeralds. Very unique and refreshing, but also classically royal. First place. I’m going to have to give Kate last place here because those earrings are a little basic (well, as basic as diamonds can be).
Eugenie (3 points)
Meghan (2 points)
Kate (1 point)
4. Bouquet
Tumblr media
Is it just me or do all of these bouquets suck? They’re puny and cheap looking in my opinion. Maybe the British aren’t as into flowers as we are? Whatever the reason, I’m bored by these. I’d give them all last place if I could.
Eugenie (3 points)
Kate (2 points)
Meghan (1 point)
5. Hair and Make-Up
Tumblr media
If you think Kate doesn’t have this category in the bag, you’re dead wrong. Perfect skin, perfect hair, a true princess. Meghan’s hairdo caught a lot of flak, but I think her make-up looks stunning. I’m pretty indifferent over Eugenie’s hair, and I think she has on way too much blush. Also let’s be honest, your make-up is only going to look as good as the canvas you put it on, and Eugenie just can’t compete with Kate and Meghan in the looks department.
Kate (3 points)
Meghan (2 points)
Eugenie (1 point)
6. The Groom
Tumblr media
A balding future king, a red-headed party boy, and a cute commoner. I guess it really depends what you’re looking for here, as these three men are all very different. Prince Harry looks pretty swaggy in his all-black uniform, and Prince William looks like a real badass despite his receding hairline. Jack Brooksbank is a cutie, but he’s got some stiff competition unfortunately. I’m giving this one to Meghan.
Meghan (3 points)
Kate (2 points)
Eugenie (1 point)
7. Wedding Party
Tumblr media
I love that Brits have kid bridesmaids and page boys instead of what us Americans would think of as a traditional wedding party. Of course, Pippa Middleton was the breakout star of William and Kate’s wedding (probably only because George and Charlotte weren’t born yet, though). Meghan’s page boys are really freaking me out in those long black coats. On the other hand, Charlotte is the cutest thing I’ve ever seen. Are Eugenie’s bridesmaids and page boys wearing... Lilly Pulitzer? A lot to digest here. I’m giving this one to Kate.
Kate (3 points)
Eugenie (2 points)
Meghan (1 point)
8. Engagement Ring
Tumblr media
Another difficult category, I’m in love with all three. If I have to pick a winner, I’m going with Kate. I love the huge sapphire and the fact that this was Princess Diana’s ring. Meghan’s is a little basic compared to the other two, but it’s GIANT and gorgeous nonetheless. Eugenie’s is beautiful and pink (my favorite color), but it’s too similar to Kate’s to really knock me off my feet.
Kate (3 points)
Meghan (2 points)
Eugenie (1 point)
9. Carriage Procession
Tumblr media
Not gonna lie, I think Eugenie’s enclosed carriage is pretty baller. Supposedly she planned to ride in an open carriage and had a last minute switch due to windy conditions. Kate and William looked a little stiff in their carriage procession, but picturesque nonetheless. They’re the future King and Queen of England, so it’s automatically iconic. I will say that Meghan and Harry looked genuinely happy during their carriage ride, probably because she was trying way too damn hard. Giving this one to Eugenie for previously mentioned baller carriage.
Eugenie (3 points)
Kate (2 points)
Meghan (1 point)
10. Reception Dress
Tumblr media
I am living for Eugenie’s blush Zac Posen reception dress. She really knocked that one out of the park. Meghan’s dress is fun and chic, although ill-fitting. Her tailor needs to be fired. Kate’s is very pretty, but I can’t get over that fuzzy white jacket. It really ruins the whole look for me. Eugenie wins this one by a long shot.
Eugenie (3 points)
Meghan (2 points)
Kate (1 point)
11. VIP Guests
Tumblr media
Cara Delevingne has been the talk of the town this weekend for her royal wedding outfit, rightfully so. And you know you’ve made it when George and Amal Clooney show up to your wedding. The most interesting people I could find that attended Kate and Will’s wedding were Victoria and David Beckham, but they were also at Meghan and Harry’s, so nothing too special there. Does Posh Spice ever enjoy anything she does? I’d bet not.
Eugenie (3 points)
Meghan (2 points)
Kate (1 point)
12. Official Photos
Tumblr media
Kate and William’s official wedding photo is insanely creepy. They look like they belong in Madame Tussauds Wax Museum. Meghan and Harry’s photo is so cute I could die. I can assure you I’ll be recreating this exact photo at my wedding, whenever that may be. I also love Eugenie and Jack’s photo, mainly because it’s in the carriage that I love so much. This one goes to Meghan hands down.
Meghan (3 points)
Eugenie (2 points)
Kate (1 point)
Let’s tally up.
3rd place with 22 points: Meghan Markle. Not surprising, you can’t just throw an American into the royal family and expect things to go off without a hitch. Her wedding was the most modern, but is that what the people want from a royal wedding? Not particularly. Meghan’s highlight: her groom. Meghan’s downfall: definitely her hair and the creepy page boy outfits.
2nd place with 24 points: Kate Middleton. Kate’s wedding was as classically royal as you can get, but I wish she would’ve loosened up a little. Kate and Meghan could’ve learned a lot from each other. Kate’s highlight: Her dress and overall look. Kate’s downfall: that fuzzy reception jacket and her stiff photos.
And the royal wedding winner with 26 points is...
PRINCESS EUGENIE
I guess it’s true that royal blood means better taste. I’m not surprised. Eugenie’s wedding was the perfect mix of elegant and chic. Eugenie’s highlight: her jewelry and reception dress. Oh, and Cara Delevingne really helped, too. Her downfall: the commoner she married. Congrats, princess.
Tumblr media
God save the Queen.

How choosing the right dance party company can kickstart your 90s hen party in splendour
The tradition of hen parties roots in the UK. They are very popular and arguably one of the best ways to celebrate the bride-to-be’s ultimate days of independence by creating fun-filled memories that will last her a lifetime. Hen parties usually involve a group of females and the party itself typically takes shape in the form of a themed event like a 90s hen party, for example.
Surprisingly, hen parties in the earlier century were known as social gatherings that occurred once a week where a group of aristocratic females would meet at each other’s homes to engage in conversation, play games and enjoy a cup of tea. Nowadays, hen or stag parties have become what is also known as ‘bachelorette parties’ that are held in honour of a woman who is about to say, ‘I do’.
What happens at a hen party is probably open for discussion, but the main purpose of a hen party is for a group of women to have fun and sometimes they do this by showing off their newly acquired dance moves. Modern hen parties are organised by the bridesmaid or a close friend and if the soon-to-be-wed guest of honour loves to dance, the group would usually participate in a dance workshop to kickstart the celebrations in splendour.
There are many ways to make a hen party special and opting for a special theme like 90s hen party, Bollywood or Burlesque may just add a fun and entertaining twist to the celebrations. If you are bridesmaid and need to plan your hen party to perfection, there are a few guidelines to ensure everything goes according to schedule.
It is important to determine the numbers and nights. This means you need to ask the bride-to-be to draw up a list of who she wants to attend the hen's party, and if she would like a celebratory weekend trip to some tourist destination or perhaps to a different city. Nothing is free of charge, so remember to set a budget and work strictly according to the figures.
Choose the theme of the party and run it by the bride-to-be to make sure she is on board with it. A 90s hen party is a perfect activity to kickstart a hen weekend in style, but if she is not into this theme, you can suggest different ones, or ask her what her preferences are. At this point, you can search the internet to find a reputable dance party company in your area that offers hen party activities and caters to a variety of dance classes.
Dance workshops prior to the actual hen party is a great way to get everyone in the group together to socialise and to start working towards the fun-filled experience that awaits. After you and the bride-to-be have decided on a theme, you can now make suggestions as to whether everyone should dress accordingly.
Dressing up for a 90s hen party, for example, offers a host of possibilities - ranging from acid-washed denim outfits to anything with studs, big hair and quirky accessories. Think Spice Girls, Pearl Jam or Madonna and boogie down to some classic 90s music. Regardless of the theme you choose, any hen’s party should be a fun-filled activity.
Remember, you may want to discuss the option of attending dance class workshops with the rest of the group first, as it involves additional expenses, but it will certainly be worth the while if you are planning to throw an unforgettable hen’s party.
Finding the suitable hen party can be challenging because there are so many cities in the UK to choose from and only a single weekend to fill with barrels of laughter, permanent grins and an unforgettable experience, but if you start planning months in advance, include the bride-to-be in every aspect, and make the right choice when it comes to a suitable dance party company, everything will work out perfect!
City Dance Parties is a leading dance party company that is based in the United Kingdom.  If you are planning an event and looking for an activity to keep your party entertained, we have years of experience in our field of expertise.  We offer clientele with an extensive selection of fun-filled dance classes that will make any party or event a truly unforgettable experience. It’s the last Monday of the month, which can mean only one thing. It’s time for the Fab40s! And this month, we’ve gone a little bonkers (well, I think I’ve gone a little bonkers anyway LOL). It was Sheela’s turn to choose the theme and she looked east for inspiration: choosing the Japanese theme, Harajuku.
What the heck is Harajuku?
Well, I had absolutely no clue either. Thank goodness for Google! I found the perfect article that explains everything you need to know about Harajuku fashion. Basically,  Harajuku started out as anti-fashion and has developed into its own style of Japanese streetwear with no rules. It covers a huge variety of different styles put together, but basically it’s creating your own, unique outfit without sticking to any particular trend, if that makes sense? Have a look at that article I mentioned and all will become clear. It really is quite fascinating, to be honest.
So, what did I wear?
Hm…. good question. What the heck did I wear?! Well, I started by scrutinising my entire wardrobe. Initially I did consider going down the Harajuku Goth route but then figured that would be too predictable for me (you all already know I’ve always been a bit of a closet goth). So I decided to something colourful and bright instead. Surprisingly, I don’t have THAT many colourful and brights items in my wardrobe lol.
My first choice was floral tights, white shorts, white shirt with a crazy bright neon orange tank top over the top of the shirt. But it wasn’t quite right. Perhaps because I felt like I needed more prints to mix and match, real Harajuku style. So I tried again and the next outfit felt right–if not completely alien at the same time. But I stuck with it and piled on the accessories and then revealed myself to hubby…
Tumblr media
Yes he laughed
He said I looked like I was going to a fancy dress party. And I totally get that…BUT, I felt great wearing this crazy outfit. It made me happy. It made me laugh. Would I wear it out to dinner or to the shops here in the Algarve? Well, no, probably not. Would I wear it out on the streets of Japan? Hell YEAH! I know I’d probably fit it perfectly.
The super girly pink blouse was from Bershka quite a few years ago, and the skort was given to me by Sophie at Sophie’s Golf Shop (yes it is a skort that you’d wear to play golf lol). I bought these floral tights from H&M ages ago and have never worn them because I’ve never found the right outfit for them (until now!). A few pairs of shoes later, I remembered my peachy brogues from Clarks. For a little added extra, I picked out my Tommy Hilfiger grey striped cardigan and threw it over my shoulders. I love how it *goes* with my skort but clashes with everything at the same time!
Tumblr media
Accessories
No surprise here that every single piece of jewellery I’m wearing (apart from my engagement and wedding rings) were gifts from my mother-in-law lol. I figured with Harajuku style, the more the merrier, right? And to top it all off, I added a purple floral umbrella.
My hair & makeup
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Well, I couldn’t do Harajuku style without at least trying pigtails–or pigbuns–or whatever you want to call them! If you look closely, you can see major white hairs white in my centre parting lol. And I love them! As for my makeup, I went all out for the pink. Pink eyeliner pink lips and pink nail varnish. A little OTT perhaps, but so is my entire cray cray outfit!!!

Boots are another form of  that are popular with ladies. Lady celebrities wear fashionable boots with heels that attract attention on the red carpet. These could be lace-up boots or rocker boots with a lot of outstanding accessories such as buckles, studs, bling’s and laces. Boots can be ankle length, mid length and full length. Today, many heeled boots are over the knee with the miniskirts in fashion. It would really be wise to bring someone along that knows a lot about guitars if you are going to go that route v neck homecoming dress. Some of the common defects can be... a twisted or warped neck, damage to the frets or tuning heads. One of the hardest thing to detect is a hair line crack, which can be either on the neck or the body of the guitar. Catherine “Kate” Elizabeth Middleton (born 9 January 1982) is the girlfriend of Prince William of Wales. Since their relationship first began, Middleton has received widespread media attention and there has been constant speculation that they will eventually marry.Born in 1982, Middleton grew up in Berkshire, and after attending Marlborough College went to the University of St Andrews. There she met Prince William, also studying there, in 2001. They shortly started a relationship, and media attention soon followed, and in 2005 her lawyer complained of harassment. In April 2007, it emerged in the press that William and Middleton had split up. They continued to be friends, and later in 2007 the pair reunited. Since then Middleton has attended many high-profile royal events. She has been admired for her fashion sense, and has been placed on numerous ‘best dressed’ checklists.
Catherine Elizabeth Middleton was born on 9 January 1982 at the Royal Berkshire Hospital, Reading, the daughter of Michael Francis Middleton (born 23 June 1949) and Carole Elizabeth (nĂ©e Goldsmith; born 31 January 1955).Middleton, an airline pilot, and Goldsmith, an air stewardess, had married on 21 June 1980 at the Parish Church in Dorney, Buckinghamshire.Kate Middleton’s paternal family came from Leeds in West Yorkshire, and her fantastic-grandmother Olivia was a member of the Lupton family, who were active for generations in Leeds in commercial and municipal work. Carole Middleton’s maternal family, the Harrisons, were working class labourers and miners from County Durham. In 1987, the Middletons identifieded their own company, Party Pieces, a mail order firm that sells party paraphernalia. They have since become millionaires.
Michael and Carole Middleton had two further children, Philippa “Pippa” Charlotte (born 1983) and James William (born 15 April 1987).Pippa Middleton, a graduate of the University of Edinburgh, has received press coverage since her sister became famous, with focus on her relationships and lifetaste.Kate Middleton grew up in Bucklebury, Berkshire, and attended St. Andrew’s School in Pangbourne, Berkshire followed by Marlborough College in Wiltshire.
Middleton’s status as the girlfriend of Prince William brought her widespread media coverage in the UK and abroad, and she was often photographed on her daily outings. On 17 October 2005, she complained through her lawyer about harassment from the media, stating that she had done nothing significant to warrant much publicity.
In February 2006, it was announced that Middleton would receive her own 24-hour security detail supplied by the Royalty and Diplomatic Protection Department. This fueled further speculation that she and Prince William would soon be engaged, since she would not, otherwise, be entitled to this service. No engagement occurred, and Middleton was not granted an allowance to fund this security. However, media attention greatly increased around the time of Middleton’s 25th birthworking day in January 2007, prompting warnings from both Prince Charles and Prince William and from Middleton’s lawyers, who threatened legal action. As a result, two refreshingspaper groups, News International, which publishes The Times, and the Guardian Media Group, publishers of The Guardian and The Observer, decided to refrain from publishing paparazzi photographs of her.
Middleton attended at least one event as an official royal guest, Prince William’s “Passing-Out” parade at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst on 15 December 2006. Despite no official engagement Woolworths prepared commemorative merchandise to be ready should an engagement announcement occur. On 14 April 2007 The Sun newspaper broke a ‘world exclusive’ suggesting that Prince William and Kate Middleton had split up.Other media outlets such as the BBC confirmed the story as the day progressed. The couple decided to break up during a holiday in the Swiss resort of Zermatt.
Clarence House made only one comment about the relationship’s end, according to The Times, stating, “We don’t comment on Prince William’s private life.” Newspapers speculated about the reasons of the split, although these reports relied on anonymous sources. The original report in The Sun quoted a “close friend of the couple” as saying that Middleton felt William had not been paying her enough attention. The paper highlighted reports that William had been spending time with other young women, and said the Prince, aged 24 at the time of the split, felt he was too young to marry. A report in the Daily Mail blamed a desire by royal courtiers not to “hurry along” a marriage announcement, and William’s desire to enjoy his bachelor status within his Army career. The Mail also suggested that William’s friend Guy Pelly encouraged the Prince to take a “careless approach” to relationships. The same article suggested that Middleton had “expected too much” in wanting William to demonstrate his commitment to her.
In June 2007, Middleton and Prince William insisted they were “just good friends” following reports of a reconciliation.Middleton and her family attended the Concert for Diana at Wembley Stadium; however, she and William sat two rows apart.Since then, the couple has been seen together in public on a number of occasions, and according to several news sources including the BBC and the Daily Mail, have now “rekindled their relationship”.Middleton also joined William and Charles on a deerstalking expedition at Balmoral and attended the wedding of William’s cousin, Peter Phillips even though William, due to a prior commitment, did not. On 16 June 2008, Middleton attended the event of William’s investment into the Order of the Garter along with the Royal Family.
In early 2006, it was rumoured that Middleton intended to found her own mail order company. However, a key investor stepped down, and Middleton decided to hold off on this plan. In November 2006, she accepted a position as an assistant accessories buyer with the British clothing chain Jigsaw.Prince William himself has stated that he does not intend to marry until he is at least 28 or at 30.
In March 2007, the Daily Mail also, for the first time, painted Middleton in an unflattering light. The article claimed that Middleton had started to use her status as Prince William’s girlfriend to her reward, that she had accepted free gifts, such as a ÂŁ1,000 Burberry Manor bag and a ÂŁ300 handbag from Melissa del Bono. According to the Daily Mail, Audi gave Middleton a discount after she bargained with them for a new car. Another claim was that she had argued with a parking warden on receiving a ticket and used front doors (after fixing her hair and makeup) to leave night clubs as an alternative of private exits, allowing the paparazzi to take photos, even though she had threatened legal action against photographers in the past. Finally, the article suggested that Middleton had had little contact with her university friends since becoming involved with Prince William. In September 2007, it was reported that Middleton was planning to give up her job as an accessories buyer to become a professional photographer. Moreover, it was said that she wanted to take some time for herself. Some months later, it was announced that she intended to take private classes with internationally renowned photographer Mario Testino, who had taken several well-known photographs of the Diana, Princess of Wales and her sons. Middleton and Testino apparently were introduced by Prince William. Testino later denied that Middleton was going to be working for him or had ever worked for him.In December, 2007, it was also reported that Middleton had moved in with Prince William at Clarence House, the residence of the Prince of Wales in London.Clarence House later denied this.
In April 2008, Prince William landed his RAF Chinook helicopter in the back garden of Middleton’s parents’ home. This sparked controversy over the use of RAF equipment being at the prince’s disposal. In April 2008, Middleton attended the RAF Wings ceremony to see Prince William collect his wings from Prince Charles. It was originally suggested that she would not attend, however, her presence at the ceremony soon caused a lot more rumours of an engagement. On 17 May 2008, Middleton attended the wedding of Peter Phillips and Autumn Kelly, which Prince William missed to attend the wedding of his ex-girlfriend’s brother. On 19 July 2008, Middleton attended the wedding of Lady Rose Windsor and George Gilman. Prince William was away on military operations.
Middleton has been featured in numerous best dressed lists. Middleton was selected by The Telegraph as the “Most Promising Newcomer” in their 2006 list of style winners and losers.Tatler placed her at #8 on their yearly listing of the top ten style icons in 2007.She was also featured in People Magazine’s 2007 best dressed list.Middleton was named as one of Richard Blackwell’s ten “Fabulous Fashion Independents” of 2007.In June 2008 style.com selected Middleton as their monthly beauty icon.In July 2008 Middleton was named on Vanity Fair’s international best dressed list.

The Secret to Wedding Dressing When You’re Breastfeeding
http://fashion-trendin.com/the-secret-to-wedding-dressing-when-youre-breastfeeding/
The Secret to Wedding Dressing When You’re Breastfeeding
On the one hand, the difference between the last style story I shot for Man Repeller back in December and this one is scant: I still enjoy embellished shoes, modish blazers and jaunty wrap dresses. But on the other hand, the contents of my stomach have turned inside out — hi Zadie! — and with it comes a whole new interior dialogue, the pungent base note of which is: Shit, I need to feed the baby.
With 12 weddings this summer (I make a great peripheral friend), I have quickly become invested in ensuring that the recipient of my engorged boob is the baby, not the curious mouth of a guest merely searching for a crab canapé.
A quick note on the very political subject matter of breastfeeding: I am firm believer in “you do you.” That could mean using a modesty muslin, taking yourself off to an entirely different room, or feeding out in the open with your breasts flying free. Whatever your preference, one thing remains certain: You need to be able to release one whole mammary from your outfit without having to shed half of your look. For example, a Gucci suit would look divine at an early-summer wedding, but if you needed to feed your child, you’d essentially have to sit topless in a pair of trousers, grinning sheepishly at passersby. And in my experience, only the most bohemian of weddings are down with that.

Taking a baby to a wedding factors high in the anxiety stakes: Will she cry during the speeches? Will she fart during the vows? (Been there; she literally pepper-farted. They would not stop.) Will I leak? Will I cry? Three weddings down (and with two of these very looks already tried and tested), I have learned that the key is to keep things simple. Attending a wedding with a baby is a physical rigmarole regardless of whether you are breast or bottle-feeding, so keep it easy. Nothing too tight, nothing too complicated and go hard on the accessories, not the silhouette.
A Button-Down Dress
First up, the button-down dress: an obvious solution to the breast-feeding dilemma. This is one for the romance, with a ’90s skew. (Remember the brand Ghost? They ruled the ’90s with their silken slips, and now they’re back.) I wore the dress pictured here on my first night away from the baby, when my husband and I went for dinner in Soho to celebrate our wedding anniversary. I was not feeling my usual self and felt a little self-conscious, but this dress made me feel like a million dollars, particularly when paired with a pearl hair clip.
A note on lingerie: The white lace bralette you see here is by Lonely Lingerie (it unclips to feed) and, more than anything else I own, it’s been a life-saver these past three months. I have it in black, too, and together they enable me to wear all kinds of easy-access dresses and shirts that would have been out of bounds thanks to my much larger boobs. (My boobs have since shrunk, should you be quizzically looking at these pictures.)
Along with Lonely Lingerie, Six Studio has been another brilliant discovery. The sizing is generous, and the pale pink satin one — my favorite — is made for showing off.

A Wrap Dress
The second savior is the wrap dress. Who’d have thunk the wrap dress would have made such a blistering return into hipness? Now, they are my wardrobe mainstay. At last count, I owned six.
My favorite brands for wrap dresses are Realisation Par (I lived in the polkadot Violette for most of my pregnancy), Rouje (I have the Gabin) and Ganni (the Marceau is beautiful). Rixo is a British brand started by two of the nicest women in fashion who met as ASOS buyers and now run what is seemingly becoming the most popular contemporary womenswear brand for women in their 20s and 30s. Where a few years ago, you would spy at least five friends in Reformation dresses at a wedding, Rixo now hold that mantle — in the UK, at least. Take your cue from the Scandis and adorn with kitsch butterfly hair clips.

A One-Shoulder Dress
Lastly, the one-shoulder dress. The boob-removal is literal and at peak ease with this style: Simply yank the dress down. I adore this Caroline Constas dress for this reason — not to mention I feel great in it. You can also lose the sash wear and it as a regal column dress. What’s more, it will work for a 24/7 wedding season — in the winter, just add tights and a velvet coat.

Tala Mahdieh and Clive Christian live in London and got married at a hilltop castle in Italy.
Fifty guests attended their wedding in the Italian countryside near Perugia in May 2016.
They paid for their wedding themselves, setting aside a portion of their monthly paychecks in a joint account to pay for it.
Here's how they spent every last dollar on their wedding — from the venue to the flowers to the wedding planner.
Tala Mahdieh and Clive Christian got married on May 28, 2016, in Perugia, Italy, with 50 guests in attendance. Tala is an international business director at Business Insider and Clive works for the UK National Health Service as a compliance and governance manager.
Tala and Clive paid for their wedding themselves, setting aside money each month from their salaries into a joint account.
They had about a year-and-a-half between their engagement and the wedding. At the time, they were living with Tala's parents so they were able to put more money toward their wedding fund.
"It was quite nice to come out of the wedding knowing we didn't have any debt," Tala told INSIDER. "I didn't want to put anything on the credit card."
She also didn't want to throw money at a situation, and made sure to be smart about spending.
"I didn't believe, in terms of my wedding, that it should cost a lot to have a great time, so we tried to keep it as low as possible," Tala said. "I find it mental when I see people spending thousands on ridiculous stuff."
The bride walked INSIDER through how she and her now-husband spent their money on every detail of the wedding.
Note: All prices have been converted from euros and British pounds to US dollars based on the exchange rates at the date of the wedding.
VENUE & DECOR: $13,884.15
Tala and Clive originally looked at wedding venues in the UK, but the historic properties they liked were too expensive and came with too many restrictions. When Tala met a woman who got married in Italy and learned that it was the easiest European country for British citizens to wed, it seemed like a no-brainer.
To find the perfect venue, Tala and Clive took weekend trips to Italy where they rented a car and "basically just drove around the middle of Italy."
"It was probably one of the best experiences ever, because we got to see more of Italy than we ever would've done if we'd planned something," she said. "We did about four trips like this to figure it out."
They eventually narrowed down the region to Umbria — Tuscany's less expensive but equally beautiful sister. On their last trip, their choices had come down to two castles and an old monastery. When they stayed the night in one of the castles, it just felt right.
"We just fell in love," Tala said. "It had such a nice vibe about it. The dinner was divine, like some of the nicest food I'd ever had. Just the whole atmosphere of the castle itself felt really cozy and warm."
They held both the ceremony and the reception at the castle, and many of their 50 guests also stayed the night there.
"About half of [the guests] stayed [at the castle] and the other half stayed in nearby hotels that were only like 10 or 15 minutes away, so we had a shuttle service in the evening for those that had been drinking to go home," Tala said.
Ceremony and reception venue: $2,997 (The cost for three nights of exclusive use of the castle was $9,279.60, but $6,282.60 was covered by guests staying in the rooms.)
Flowers: $555
Cake: $388.50
Food and drink: $9,301.80 (based on three days of full food service)
Favors: $142.35
Lighting: $499.50
Attire: $7,606.60
When it came to Tala's wedding attire, she used her media connections to find the dress of her dreams — a gown by Spanish designer, Pronovias.
"Previous to this job, I was working at Hearst, so for international for Elle, Harper's Bazaar, sort of quite big fashion brands," Tala explained. "I emailed them and I thought, 'If I don't ask, I won't get.' And I just asked them if they did any press discount, and they said yes. They agreed and they gave me 20% off my dress, which meant it basically covered the cost of the alteration. So it was still full-price, but it balanced out and it worked out quite nicely."
Getting husband a suit, however, wasn't quite as easy.
Clive had originally ordered two suits from a tailor in central London for about $1,460, but they did "a horrendous job," Tala said.
"In the end, he ended up getting his suit from Marks & Spencer in the UK," she said. "So his tuxedo cost 100 pounds ($146), which is an absolute bargain, but he looked amazing. It just goes to show you don't have to spend so much money sometimes — just the cheapest item will do."
Dress: $2,715.60
Hair and makeup: $0 (Tala's regular hairdresser did her hair for free)
Accessories: $365
Groom's attire: $146
Wedding rings: $4,380
Vendors: $9,213.00
When it came to capturing the big day, Tala and Clive hired an Italian married couple — Andrea and Federica.
"They were amazing, like the nicest couple ever," Tala said. "They stayed really late, later than they were supposed to contractually... They sent us a couple of photos immediately that evening of our wedding, which was amazing because normally you would have to wait months to get that."
For entertainment, the fans of classical music hired a violinist. Of course, they made sure to give it a modern spin.
"The violinist just seemed the most appropriate sort of soft accompaniment to the wedding," Tala said. "A lot of pop songs that are famous now, he would play them but the violin version."
Of course, not every purchase was a good one. Looking back, Tala wishes they had have spent less money on a wedding planner. The one they chose presented the couple with a, "cut-copy-paste of other weddings that had nothing relevant to what I'd asked her for," Tala said.
"So in the end, I ended up doing a lot of what I wanted myself, which wasn't the whole idea of a wedding planner," Tala said. Fortunately, she also had help from her husband and an Italian friend.
The planner also made a mistake on their wedding night dinner — white meat was served instead of steak. Not cool.
Photographer: $1,609.50
Videographer: $1,720.50. The videographers were reportedly very handsome.
Wedding planner: $4,440
Band/DJ: $499.50
Other entertainment: $388.50 violinist
Wedding officiant: $555
Miscellaneous: $643.10
Tala and Clive spent about $325 on transportation costs, which consisted of shuttle services for the guests who stayed nearby rather than at the castle itself.
It also included Tala and Clive's flights from London to Italy, which only cost about $90.
"We bought [the flights] like a year in advance because we knew what we were doing," Tala said.
Postage: $36.50
Invitations/Save the Date cards: $182.50
Website: Free (A friend did it.)
Marriage license: $102.20
Transportation: $321.90
Hotel: Included in hire of venue
Bridal party gifts: N/A
Total Wedding Cost: $31,346.85

Featured Supplier : Bespoke Creations Stafford
Staffordshire Wedding Stylist
Wedding and Event Styling Bespoke for You
In Staffordshire and the Midlands, you really are spoilt for choice with fabulous venue stylists for your wedding. From small outfits to huge events companies, but one of the best is definitely Bespoke Creations!
I've known Melissa from Bespoke Creations and her parents for quite a few years now from working together on weddings and sitting down a few weeks ago, it was wonderful to realise how our feelings and approach to our clients are so similar!
Melissa started Bespoke Creations at the grand age of eighteen following the 'wedding bug' biting whilst she worked at Weston Hall.
Seeing how weddings came together in one of the regions top wedding venues helped Melissa to develop an understanding of how everything worked but more importantly allowed her to see the problems too:
"There didn't seem to be a structure with suppliers that came to us, so I would have a lot of lists of names for individual services that I thought could do with being one service. We'd have chair cover people that would arrive, centrepiece people, people that would bring stationery and although they're all amazing at their job, from an event planners point of view it was chaos it because sometimes they'd all turn off at the same time! So in my head, I kept thinking there's not a company that did it all, where you have one contact name and the bride would just tell them their requirements."
From there the idea grew into a business, and with an investment in decor, Bespoke Creations was born!
Stafford Wedding Decor
With the business established, Melissa's parents came on board. With the difference in age and approach, it actually brings a huge strength to Bespoke Creations, from the wedding fairs to the day itself:
"Mom joined the business and we sent her on courses for floristry because she'd already got an eye for detail with that kind of thing. After my dad parted with his last football club just over two years ago, we weren't going to let him retire when there's so much work, so he joined too."
I think it's really interesting here too how someone who spent his life in professional sport and as a footballer, would fit so perfectly into the world of weddings:
"He'd never known anything different from football, and I never really thought if somebody had said to me years ago he would be a part of it.
I thought would it work because when a woman thinks 'does he know what he's doing?', but it really works!
At wedding fairs sometimes the men come along and we all know secretly a little bit bored, and he's got that natural persona about him  to start chatting to the blokes, and he loves all kinds of sports anyway, and I love that the fact that when we're doing wedding exhibitions, or fairs or whatever there's somebody for everybody!"
This, as I've said, is one of the huge strengths of Bespoke Creations. You have Melissa who is very current, but with Cheryl (Melissa's Mom) appealing to a slightly older bride, and Mark looking after the boys, you really have the perfect team!
Stafford Wedding Styling from Bespoke Creations
Much the same as I, Melissa loves the connection she develops with her couples, from the initial meeting, throughout the wedding process.
"You can chat to people over the phone, but it's just nice to create a connection with them so that they can really see what we're about. We can find out more about someone when you are face to face. I like when you start the show them through the albums I can instantly tell when to veer onto a different design or style, because that although they'll go 'that's nice', I can just instantly tell that it's not for them!"
It's using this understanding and experience, that really helps to ensure your wedding styling is not only perfect but perfect for you!
With so many avenues for inspiration when you are planning your wedding, from magazines to wedding blogs, from the UK and abroad, the ideas you can generate can be quite overwhelming. However, it's always really important, to be honest, and realistic with your venue stylist.
Whether it's tweaking the ideas you come up with, or indeed helping to guide on complete changes, the experience of the team at Bespoke Creations will help make your day perfect!
"There's always different things you can do to tweak what they're seeing to match their ideas. I don't like to recreate from a photo and say we're going to do identical to that. I like to make it personal to the couple. That's where the magic really does come in when couples just put their own stamp on a wedding day, and they don't try and just do something because they feel like there should."
With the freedom to be creative and make your day truly unique, it sets the ideas and creativity of a team like Bespoke Creations alive!!
I also love how just like me, Mel loves finding out about the story behind you guys too!!
"I love meeting new people, so literally sometimes during a meeting, I'm 'oh gosh, we're here for a wedding appointment here!' But I think that's nice, it good to build that rapport with your clients, so then it makes it not work."
Wedding Services Available from Bespoke Creations
From wedding planning, venue styling, fresh flowers, bringing in the perfect suppliers for your day and now even mobile bars, the team at Bespoke Creations really can bring together something wonderful for your wedding!
With the experience of Melissa and the team in running events, if you are at a venue such as Ingestre Hall or Brocton Hall, having the support and guidance to not only help with the planning but also the running of the wedding day, it really makes such a difference:
" I can literally go in and I can sort the whole thing for my couple. With a few venues where they are a bit DIY, where you pretty much hire it, and then you bring your own catering, you need to control it, and putting that on the couple is too much.
With somebody like ourselves as an event planner there on the day, it just makes it run so much more smoothly."
Something that is oh-so-important on the wedding day - as controlling timings is vital too!
With the venue styling, from your stationery to the flowers, to backdrops and complete decoration, you really are covered!
"Starting from your invitations, which then follows through to table plans, the place name cards.  We start with save the dates, and ensure everything is styled to match perfectly! Then we do chair covers and sashes, centrepieces, starlit backdrops, fresh bay trees, everything you could imagine really - there's not much that we don't do decor wise. We even have custom-made sashes to match it with bridesmaid dresses. That's the extent will go to."
As a growing company, Bespoke Creations can provide almost anything you can think of for your wedding decor!
I strongly believe that building relationships is so important when you are planning your wedding, from feeling confident and comfortable, but also to ensure your vision is completely carried out!
"The beauty of what we do is you always deal with the same person, so whoever you meet and connect with, you keep them throughout, so you don't have to keep explaining yourself to different people. Building one relationship for everything."
The Wedding Day with Bespoke Creations
Talking to Melissa about the wedding day, I love how the excitement and passion really started to show through!!
"The first thing I'll do just go pop and see the bride as soon as we arrived, as the team start getting the room ready.  I'll pop up see the bride and make sure she's happy, take her bouquets up, and then we always take them down and make sure they're in an air-conditioned room!"
Such top advice here - you need to look after those flowers!!
"One thing I would recommend, whoever does supply your flowers, if they're brought to you early in the morning, try to keep them somewhere cool - the room where you're all getting ready with the hair dryers on, it's just not ideal conditions for flowers."
From the flowers, it's all about the room, and with Melissa getting her hands to work too, they transform the venue to look immaculate, and ready for the bride to see the room before the guests arrive:
"I love the reveal of the room, getting to share that bit of excitement with them. It's amazing. It is what it's about because you know that you've hit the nail on the head then for them!"
Wedding Planning Advice from Bespoke Creations
One of the features I've loved about these Supplier Features has been picking the brains of those I interview, for their top pieces of advice to help you when you are planning your wedding.
Upon asking Melissa for her top planning tip, there was no hesitation - pick your venue first!
Afterall, it's not until you've chosen your venue that you know the colours that will work, or indeed the amount of styling your venue requires also.
"It's like chairs too - at Weston Hall, they've got the Chiavari chairs, so for me, don't cover them, instead we have accessories to compliment them. But then the beauty of venues like the Moat House, you get the chair covers and sashes included, so obviously there you can pick whichever."
However, another tip I brought up here came to hiring chairs to totally transform your venue!
I had the pleasure of photographing a gorgeous wedding last summer at The Moat House with Bespoke Creations, where rather than covering the chairs, Melissa hired in Chiavari chairs to the venue - and the look they created blew my mind. So don't ever be afraid to ask something outside of the ordinary!
" I think it's always not being afraid to ask to change things. When I do show rounds people say 'oh you have to have the top table here' or whatever. It's from what they've been told and I think sometimes they misunderstand the way in which it's been phrased them because naturally, that's where they've always put the top table, but if you wanted something different don't be afraid to ask - it's your wedding day."
Wedding Tips and Advice from Melissa
Whilst we were talking, Melissa shared so many great tips and advice to help when planning your wedding.
One of the first came with the gem of advice for naming your tables, rather than just numbering them - "which is a great one as rather than numbers, where sometimes people can categorise themselves on table numbers, instead of bringing in something about them. Whether it be that the groom proposed in a certain city, or they've been on special holidays together, and then it's a nice talking point on the wedding day."
When talking about the flowers, and how excited she gets visiting the Bride with the bouquets on the morning, Melissa also had this great piece of advice:
"One thing I would recommend, whoever does supply your flowers if they're brought to you early in the morning, try to keep them somewhere cool - the room where you're all getting ready with the hair dryers on, it's just not ideal conditions for flowers."
From choosing the venue, and indeed considering the styling that's correct, Melissa's next top tip came to the guest list.
"The guest list ultimately works out your budget for you. When you send the Save the Dates, or if you have an engagement party make sure the people you invite, are the people you want for your wedding too! Look at your guests this very carefully for your engagement party so that obviously then when it comes to sending the invites to the wedding, it makes that a little less complicated."
I think this is a great piece of simple advice, that could certainly save any awkward situations with friends down the line too!!
Asking for recommendations when you're bringing your wedding together is always so helpful - after all when planning your wedding you are often flying blind. Melissa agreed with me on this too:
"Oh gosh yes - absolutely! If you can go to a company that says to you these two or three companies are the ones to use, it's so much easier because you go to wedding fairs, and it is literally like information overload! Everybody's going to tell you the best, but I think generally if you connect with me you'll connect with the people that I recommend because I think we're all similar."
A top budgeting tip that made me smile from Melissa actually came next:
"I have actually told my couples to cut their budget a little bit with the decor, to pay for a photographer, because I'm not saying that we're less important than photography, but looking back after the day, the day goes so quickly you don't always get the opportunity to see or to take in everything. You don't get to see his face when he turns to look at you - and that's one of the pictures that I always think, gosh that must be one that literally brings a tear to their eye when they see it!
Cut a little bit with us and have the perfect photographer because you don't have to have the biggest centrepiece for your wedding to actually look really quite smart from us. So I think, an important tip for me, don't skimp on a photographer!"
Obviously, I cannot disagree at all here - but I really think it's being sensible with your budget, investing in your day in the most sensible way possible!
When I have my final meeting's with my couples before the wedding, I often hear one of the biggest headaches can come from the table-plan - something that Melissa also picked up on as we talked:
"A lot of people come to me and say about tradition. 'We've got a top table situation. Parents aren't together, so we've got a lot of people to go on the top table. What do I do?' I'd go with go with what you want to do! What's going to make you feel happy?  If the venue says to you, normally you only have about six or eight on the top table, if the room is there for you to extend your top table ask the question.
We've had so many weddings last year that just had all rounds and no top table - and they looked great!"
I had such a great time catching up with Melissa and just know that a visit to Bespoke Creations should be on your wedding plans!

Firstly please let us introduce Maahira, the innovative UK Asian fashion concierge started up by the fabulous mother-daughter duo Nimisha and Manda Brahmbhatt!
Where did Maahira all begin and all about?
Maahira was an idea born in the back of a rickshaw in India, whilst Manda (Co-founder) and I (Nimisha) debated what was missing in the UK Market when it came to Indian Fashion. We wanted to bring a palette of fashion to the UK Market that stepped away from the norm of the regular high-street offerings. We also wanted to re-invigorate the trend of having your Indian Couture custom made and bespoke to your specific needs, style, taste and requirements. Most importantly we wanted to ensure that the piece that we sourced and produced came from experienced designers who understood what it meant to deliver high quality finishes and great designs. By the end of the short ride Maahira was born.
As a brand Maahira is about good quality fashion from up-coming experienced designers, that can be customised, or made bespoke to your preferences!
Nimisha and Manda Brahmbhatt
Let’s delve into bridal fashion talk! What do you think will be the key bridal trends for 2017?
In all honesty we really believe trends are neither here nor there. In our 3 years of operating we always find our clientele have their own style and sensibility and we seek to cater to that.
Bridal garments are very personal and whether an item is on trend or not, customers will always go for what they feel comfortable in, and what they envisage themselves wearing on the day. If its one thing we advocate its about producing and sourcing fashion that is unique to our clients tastes and preferences. It is a personalised service we offer, after all it’s the Bride’s big day and THE most important day of their life, so why not have something the way you want it rather than market dictated trends.
What do you think will be the key fashion trends in 2017 for the bride’s family guests?
Fashion choices for the family are very much based on the theme of the wedding and are heavily influenced by the choice the Bride makes first, for her garments. Usually the family seek to take elements of the Bride’s garments and look for pieces that have similar design features.
“...as a Bride you are going to be wearing the your outfit for quite a number of hours so comfort is key.”
What top tips do you give to your Maahira brides that you could share with us?
Be comfortable! Whether you realise it or not, as a Bride you are going to be wearing the your outfit for quite a number of hours so comfort is key. Following that, go for a design or look that is in keeping with your individual style. Why? Bridal garments are a significant investment so we always encourage all our clients to develop and design outfits with us that serve their personal style so they will be more inclined to re-use parts of the piece again and again.
