Hiriss Moraana and Elscorsef - A Jedi and Her Symbiote in Their Downtime
Hiriss Moraana Homeworld: Coruscant Species: Mirialan-Human hybrid Gender: Female (intersex) Age: 22 Affiliation: Jedi Order, Galactic Alliance Elscorsef Homeworld: Felucia Species: Forceless Symbiote Gender: Female (sexless) Age: 0 Affiliation: Jedi Order Another piece with Hiriss, this time with Elscorsef outside her body (for those unfamiliar, yes, this is the same character as the lady with spider-legs coming out of her back and the four-eyed mermaid). My current idea for such a scenario would be not long after the Felucia mission (not long after Elsie was born), especially since she was just inside of a monster's stomach. While Hiriss is very much a fashionista, she is not the kind of woman who is ashamed at all to be walking the halls of the Ossus Academy not looking her best, because not only is the Academy practically her home, she's got enough self-confidence (plus, she deliberately tries to look good even when she's not at her best). And yes, those are Tooka slippers she's got on her feet. No, that jogan fruit muffin isn't polystarch; it has natural flour and is much tastier and more nutritious. Given that Elsie is an infant Forceless symbiote, she's incredibly inquisitive at this point in her life (don't worry, Hiri isn't looking at anything age-inappropriate on that datapad). Of course, the visual gag of Elsie threading through Hiri's hair rollers like they're hamster tubes (while they're in her hair!) was too good to pass up. That Hiri's obviously not bothered by this shows the kind of bond the two have.

i wish more people knew they could curl their hair with socks/small pieces of fabric/foam sticks/so on. like you get relativley the same result, it's cheaper, it's better for your hair in the long run, & you are entirley less likely to burn yourself. the only con is that it requires more prep, as it takes much longer.
if you don't know how, basically what you do is this:
seperate a strand of your hair. make sure that it will fit around whatever you're using, let's say a sock in this case, and then wrap the end of the strand around it.
roll the strand/sock up to your scalp while keeping it taut. it should feel a bit tight, but not like it's tearing your hair out.
tie off the sock. (bonus tip: if using a foam stick or the like, you basically wrap both ends, one counter-clockwise & one clockwise, until it is wound tightly enough to stay put on it's own.)
repeat until all of your hair is rolled up, wrapping smaller loose strands as you go. leave for 3-8 hours. if your hair was wet when you started, leave until mostly dry.
i find that rolling it with your object beneath the strand tends to create a more flowy, curtainy curl, where as rolling it with your object above tends to make the curls a bit tighter & look closer to more of a natural curl.
but, please! you do not need to give yourself heat damage which you will then have to spend more money buying products for! diy is your friend sometimes!
