Plant of the Day
Wednesday 3 January 2024
Planning containers for the coming season then Hakonechloa macra 'Aureola' (Japanese forest grass) might be a useful addition to a display. The narrow leaves have broad yellow to cream stripes, edged in light green and form a low dense tussock.

Kiedy przycinać trawy ozdobne
Połowa marca to dobry czas na cięcie trawy ozdobnej, gdyż za chwilę zacznie ona wypuszczać nowe pędy i jeśli przytniemy ją za późno, to również te nowe przyrosty wpadną nam pod ostrze, a to będzie wielka strata. Najpopularniejsze trawy ozdobne w Polsce to: trawy ozdobne pampasowe, odmiana “Red Baron”, miskant chiński, rozplenica japońska, hakonechloa smukła, kostrzewa, turzyca. Kiedy tniemy…

Tropical-style gardens are becoming increasingly popular in the UK and are the epitome of evergreen structure. Palms, grasses and ferns make up the majority of the planting here, with a mix of materials including decorative tiles, gravel, concrete pavers and decking to give each area a different feel. Hakonechloa macra is the Star plant in this design, with its mounds of vivid green arching foliage looking great during every season. #theyorkshirecountrygardener #tropicalgarden #tropicalplants #mediterraneangarden #evergreenplants #gardenideas #gardendesign #gardenfurniture #gardeninspiration #landscapearchitecture #landscapedesign #landscapegardening #hakonechloamacra #palmtrees #ferns #patioideas #loveyourgarden #yourgardenmadeperfect #yourhomemadeperfect #shrubbed-up https://www.instagram.com/p/CfMRdskqoch/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
